  1. Exactly but I wonder how great would he have been if he had to do a "proper stand still start"??...pity we couldnt go back to the "rolling start" might give Bomber (the RACER!!! not starter) a better chance
  2. Twitter ........ it may be just someone sending out feelers but you never know do you?? Maybe SCoe would like a bit of income being generated after his successful Olympics finish.
  3. Couldnt agree more....I think its been a great gp series so far this year and can't wait for saturdays gp. Just think we could have also had the likes of rolling at the tapes too Ivan M style (wonder how he'd fare now having to be stationary
  4. Thanks as ever MP for your efforts (on our behalf, love me programme I do )......I'm back on Irish soil after the British gp and awaiting this "Thriller in Malilla".......hope its a good 'un
  5. Just seen a lil' tweet.....maybe talks are taking place for the European Gp to be at Olympic Stadium. Should get the southerners excited but I'm off to Cardiff.. Leave the British gp there. Don't know can Britain support 2 Gps
  6. I definately agree it was an opportunity missed Obviously it should have been "ok'd" by the Richardson Family beforehand but I was expecting a minutes silence before the meeting at the parade..........it was the 1st BRITISH GP since his death. Thats like a F1 driver dying and then his 'home' gp not respecting him at the 1st Gp after...it would have happened. Thank Goodness applause broke out when the white tshirts were mentioned or there wold have been no mention of Lee at all last saturday
  7. Always great news when a rider returns from an injury.....he did say on twitter that he felt good on the bike so roll on Malilla. I think Jasons shoulder is ok too after the crash in Cardiff but he's having a rest till next gp.
  8. Yes Havvy Happy Anniversary. ..and Bradford legend too. All Bradford Riders past and present being remembered at Exhib currently being held at Bradford Industrial Museum until november......Wright, Rigg, Forrest, Knappy, Petersen, Wiggy and Havvy to mention but a few. Open daily except mondays FREE entry......Can also be a history lesson in the Industrial past of Bradford for schoolkids
  9. Thanks for telling us Funny I was just thinking the same about Tai  or if he does appear ( as most on here its a given thing) he WONT perform any better than Nicholls or Harris!!..his ego is bigger than theirs tho
  10. How many blasts has he had at the BF too and done nothing??? Tai's been to Cardiff for the "experience" is it 2 or 3 times even though he's had one ride in 2008.....but personally I'd just like to see a different name there, be it Cook or whoever instead of Woffinden,Nicholls, Kennett, Stead, Barker etc as I don't think Tai is a major talent ahead of anyone else and so why should he be given automatic place? Its the same old names riding for Gb, introduce a few of the younger lads and let them have a go. Same as regards Harris as his form not been great in Gps past few years......lets introduce a bit of new blood, they definately cannot be any worse!!! Will be a pity if not Brit in Gps
  11. Price at Hilton Newport friday 31 May night before the Gp with leisure centre (half an hour from Cardiff @ J24 M4 ) twin room (2x double beds suitable for 4 adults) £97.30 at the moment including breakfast. Price you save 30%, prepay 30% now and the rest on departure, that would surely suit loads of people. This is obviously non refundable.......what do you expect for £25 per head folks. There are other price options available should you wish to book a flexi (cancel on the day) rate.
  12. ...cause if there are 'cute' hotel chains watching the tv they can increase prices   Brilliant got me hotel booked
  13. All the more reason to incorporate the Gp at the end of hols...... Roll on tonights announcement and we'll see
  14. Don't the stewards ever ask for your tickets as proof of seat area when you are going into the different area? maybe IMG do give out lots of complementary seats so a fair minority or maybe majority are Freebies!! I'm tempted to try this next year but then again if we all keep trying to not pay our fair share the event will not be there anymore. Wonder did the date of this years Gp affect the crowd or are less people inclined/cant afford to go??
  15. No disrespect to Tai but he's only a repeat of the rest thats represented Gb thus far......a good couple races, couple bad uns and not qualifying for semi finals. Why keep putting the same names forward for automatic selection.?? Give someone else a blast at it...they couldnt do any worse. I think the British Final this year was good that it at least proved the younger lads are coming (albeit slowly!) as can be seen by Craig Cooks score (10) and all the finishers above him we've seen already at Cardiff one way or another (actually can't recall did BB get a ride though any year?)...there will be someone on here to correct me though I dont doubt
  16. I have checked the Hilton in Cardiff city centre (usually an indicator!! probably block booked for riders/officials) and it UNAVAILABLE 1 June 2013. This could be THE date as this is a return to the w/e of the first Gp there back in 2001.......think I'm going to book that date for Newport Hilton (flexi rate so it can be cancelled if this is wrong  )...makes the weekend cheaper if I can get the b/b at reasonable prices early. Cheaper ferry rates for me too if this date is correct This years crossing nearly killed me!!!
  17. The Great Arthur Wright attended the opening day last saturday , Mick Fairbairn a rider of the 70's was on Bradford community Radio on thursday 23 Aug....and because today is a bank holiday the museum is OPEN (but its only tues to sunday normally.). http://www.podcast.c...t=l) One to One 12-1pm show Havvy as patron of this event is hoping to attend......if he tells us before hand we'll tip you off!!
  18. Precisely!!! ADVERTISE the speed, colour and generate excitment, not boring old chat by 'stars@ you mightn't actually know!
  19. we'll never know now will we?? Same old riders being "trumpeted" about on here and they don't do ANY different when we've seen em there
  20. I found that people had made the obvious choice to sit in the cheaper seats (sign of the times unfortunately! ) and the prices they charge for the home straight on all tiers and the back straight on lower tiers is ridiculous and maybe a more fairer pricing system would work. Why would you pay £90 to sit on 1st bend top tier when you can pay £29/37 on back straight and have the same view??? We bought tickets on the friday in Cardiff and only "available" spots were back straight top tier £37 or over by 1st bend top tier £90!! but there were plenty of empty seats in other areas when we got inside on the night.
  21. 1992 ......was 20 years ago when I last looked !!!! Says alot At least Bradford had their Exhibition opening (Bradford Industrial Museum,Moorside Rd, Eccleshill, Bradford BD2 3HP) to coincide with this momentus date for Havvy........heard the Great Arthur Wright was there too (Bradford legend!).
  22. Simply answer to question is No...dont see anything special about him and would prefer to see a 'proper' Brit being given a chance. pity there wasnt a tapes exclusion saturday as would have loved to see one of either of the two lads have a blast around the track..in amongst it all!!
  23. I'm heading over to Wales in the morning.....AND I will be buying a programme!!!! but...........MP I will require a programme for the 'Thriller in Malilla', suppose I may aswell use yours, its as good as any! ( and I love chocolate!!! )
