  1. I would argue from an outsiders point of view that you have 2 second strings at reserve. And who knows Kyle could develop into a heat leader. Tero potentially can be the third heat leader. Tbh I don't think many will touch you guys at home. Rusty with his head right will be as good as anyone on his average. Lawson gets better every season, Bach was coming back from injury last year and I expect him to stick a point in his average. Ashley Morris if he can get his machines right then I think he could do what Kyle did for you last season. If he can also sort that gating out at times. I see your side as a solid 1-7 much like Berwick have.
  2. Just looking at old clips from their Monarchs days. Was Jamie Luckhurst the biggest enigma ever, on his day with his head in the game majestic and brilliant. Or when he was not there mentally, it showed on track. Bags of ability never fulfilled! Jeremy Luckhurst my favourite rider as a youngster. A trier not blessed with his brothers ability but a decent bottom ender. They were some pair and I just wondered what everyone else on here remembers of the brothers Luckhurst
  3. Strong 1-7. Edinburgh better watch. Berwick might try end claim Matty is their asset now! Potentially best reserve pairing in the league for my money.
  4. Yeah understand more now. I think that Simon Stead can have a similar effect to Sean Wilson, I am not saying the whole thing but stead is class. Maybe others will have to step up. Sheffield should be up there winning things the club is geared for success. I think away from home you need someone to back Simon up, especially on tracks like Edinburgh, Plymouth that are massively different from your own.
  5. In years gone by as an Edinburgh coming to Sheffield was a track you knew that you guys would be a powerhouse at home. Wilson, Compton etc... Even guts like Simon Cartwright would score big. Surely Sheffield being dominant at home would push u up the table. Stead will be great all over. But would signing Richard Hall not be a good move to give stead proper back up at home. I mean the guy is good at home. There seems to be a lot of anti Hall chat here, I like watching him, entertaining rider in my eyes
  6. Big Rusty if his heads right can be great, Mate you keep playing thus Craig cook card when he said he will only ride for Edinburgh in the PL due to the faith the promotion gave shown in him.
  7. I think your too four are decent, no doubt. But blow away, I remain to be convinced. I think Doolan is great, but can he get back to being the rider he was 2 years ago? I think you need guys who will dominate away from home. Like Craig Cook did for monarchs, but with no back up, I think your top 4 is good, no doubt but I am not convinced they will dominate. I think the lions team is more of an all round one. A good 1-7 really.
  8. Cookie signing seems to be in hand. http://m.scotsman.com/edinburgh-evening-news/speedway/speedway-monarchs-signing-can-be-next-season-s-masters-card-1-2675666
  9. Keyboard warriors on here infuriate me. Come on to try and wind people up so sad!
  10. It's not a case of missing a trick, he was only ever going to one club in the PL
  11. Tabaka is a must at reserve. Cook and maybe Kalle. What would that leave us?
  12. Glad that Aidrian Rymel is good. Horrific night when he was hurt, mark of the man the progress he has made moving on with his life. One of the nice guys of our sport. Matthew Wethers would be an awesome addition if you can add him. Would add something. Ashworth is a must, he has matured so much as a number 1 at Berwick. Dyer is value at reserve for bandits.
  13. I think that on the road your reserves will have to back up the top 4, I am saying that can your reserves step up on away tracks and back up to top boys. I think it's a valid question, I personally like watching both of your reserves ride, but I am simply asking can they back up the top five to ensure that the team does not suffer from being too top heavy. I am playing devils advocate a bit, as the Leicester team does look a decent one on paper.
  14. Simon Stead still has it. Awesome in the EL playoff final. I think he can reinvigorate your club like Sean Wilson did all those years ago. I honestly do.
  15. That Berwick side would take some beating at home. Strength and depth. On the road it might not be as strong, but running at home and a couple of away point gets you too the play offs!
  16. What an awesome heat leader duo...cook and masters could be special in 13 and 15
  17. Oh it's not real life! Thank god you let me know that! In real life you need to be able to construct a sentence using proper punctuation! Stick in at school little one!
  18. Reserves are a gamble but I think the boys have 5 good pros around them to help them
  19. I think it's all relative and it's a big year for both. In terms of time Craig cook only started speedway 3 years ago!
  20. Utter garbage honestly. Edinburgh running in 2013 was to do with fans and nothing to do with Glasgow. Fans put money in. Edinburgh have not ran on a Saturday regularly since meadowbank. Honestly, if the club was edinburgh who voted for the status quo then so what. Edinburgh need Glasgow. Glasgow need Edinburgh. People on this forum are ridiculously biased and bitter at times. Scotland needs to strong speedway clubs end of....
