I don't see Redcar or Ipswich being up there tbh. Ipswich need to have a lot of improvement behind barker who is class, Redcar I just don't see it to be perfectly honest more bottom end than top end for my money.

Any progress on the final 2 I wonder

James Wright has great ability. Nobody can question that. James was a consistent performer at elite league and premier league levels not so long ago. Can he get back to that I don't see why not. I don't know why the dip in form has happened if late, I have never ridden a bike so I am not going to slag him off, but I think James could end up a 7-8.00 point rider if he can find that consistency. Lad has track craft and is a pure racer. Maybe if tigers add Charles as the 7th man maybe that would be the settled environment that James needs to find himself again.

The elusive 5 point riders are still needed at likes of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Taylor has an unfortunate average, shame. I like Chris Schramm 100% you get from that guy and what averages are the like of Schramm on for example?

Is it not just fair to say that Workington fans just enjoy watching speedway? The years without speedway in a town, then a return and for my money some of the most passionate and genuine fans in the business. I visited twice last year and from the banter I got from the car park guys, to the passion of the fans who were inside it sums the club up. The new promotion are forward thinking and have a vision. I think having a team on track is always preferable to having none at all. That was the fear in the winter for me as a monarchs fan. Will the Workington team pull up trees who knows. But I would use the term dark horses with massive potential. I think Bach with a season under his belt after that horrid injury could add a point and the afore mention Tero; well give the guy a chance not so long ago he was doing pretty well at scunthorpe. I know all fans want to win, and the financial reality for us all is that some weeks matches maybe are not always affordable, but the Workington promotion seem to want to address that situation. Credit to them I say. I honestly think that Workington team will be hard to beat at home and surprise a few away from home. And good luck to them I have so much respect for the club and all those associated with Workington speedway

I never said I know anything. I offered my opinion. Why be so antagonistic? Berwick upon Tweed is in England. I simply offered the view that given the lands around Berwick there must be some scope to keep the team near its spiritual home rather than essentially moving a franchise to a new town. I think that if the situation did arise that the bandits had to shift there first priority would be to stay near the town? Did I say that I knew? Did I say that I sat down with the Andersons and discussed this? No. I am not quite sure what the actual point in your post was lulu. I am like most on here I am a fan who'd love to see a town I enjoy visiting keep it's speedway team in that town. I don't want the bandits to end up like Edinburgh miles away from their home town. But if the only option was too move or watch a great club die then of course move. But simply option one would be surely to stay as close to home as possible. And I know that how? Ohhh I form an opinion....

Well there's no facility in Dunbar that I know of too facilitate that. I know that if Berwick did have to locate that it would realistically be a site in England nearer the town so the notion of moving to Dunbar where many fans of monarchs I know live is ridiculous. Berwick belong in Berwick. Berwick team 2013 looks strong back to topic
-
Yep. Why the hell would berwick move to Dunbar? Ridiculous notion

Richard Lawson looks more and more like his father on track every time Workington visit. He looks pure class and will get better, he does every year. I don't think you can compare him and Cook. I am just glad that they are both young British guys tbh. What Laura did for Edinburgh will never be forgotten with her generosity, Northern clubs looking out for each other. Just to add to this, I think Kyle could kick on to heat leader level this season. He has class.
-
Are you half daft? You spout the same old guff about Craig Cook and hope somebody listens to your incoherent ramblings. Craig Cook is an Edinburgh asset he is widely quoted as saying edinburgh saved his career hence why he came back. Honestly you have played this same tedious and boring point again and again. Honestly accept that cook was always coming back to Edinburgh

With the way the points system works teams need to pick up some points on the road. This illusion that win at home and get thumped away from home will not spell success long term. Fans who travel to away matches, sometimes planning holidays around tours should be rewarded with a team that at least can put up a show or do these 30 or so fans not matter? Away fans meeting home fans is what thus sport is all about. What if you have a bad home match and need to make up for that away from home. You need to have that ability. All fans matter and yes of course you need to be strong at home, but getting thumped away from home does nothing for morale and remember if riders don't score they don't earn, they can't reinvest in their machines. Success breeds success

I am too young to have gone but my late mother always talked about her experiences visiting Barrow. How long did they run for? What was the track like? Notable riders? What caused the Demise? Would be grateful of info it's of massive interest to me personally cheers

What average would Taylor Poole come in on?
-
Vissing is good and a total competitor. Guesting for monarchs at Leicester a couple of years ago, he was streets ahead. He is never one to give up in a race and I enjoy watching the bloke
-
This type of comment is irrelevant. Nobody on this forum questions the bottle, nerve or skill of anybody who straps on a helmet. But are fans not allowed to criticise any aspect of speedway because they have not sat on a bike? Of course not. Ridiculous logic.
-
Who are the final 2 options?
-
A rider has to want to come to your club before you can sign them. When did cook ever state a desire to come to Ipswich? Lanham obviously did as did Ben barker. Louis is not an idiot. But your assertion that by you constantly bleating about you have signed Craig Cook and your promotion has failed because they have not is quite frankly ridiculous. Louis signed you Ben barker for gods sake. If cook had wanted to go to Ipswich then chances are you may have signed him. But Cook was loyal to edinburgh and was only ever going there to be honest

Ricky Wells is a character. Entertaining on track, hilarious after an incident at Edinburgh (I am a Monarch) but I thought Ricky was class. Getting abuse and he blows kisses. I was laughing thinking that's what speedway us about banter. Ricky is a racer, class on a bike and I'd pay to watch him. Him and stead could be a great duo
-
I can't really remember but it rings a bell.

Lemon looked a shadow of his old self last season. I think he has lots on his plate now and riding in the PL is not his main one. Not to say he wouldn't try, just that he would have to balance it with kits of other things. Ricky Wells or Vissing for me would balance Tigers well. Younger guy to work with the two old stagers.

Craig cook agrees terms with Edinburgh. Deluded thinking he was ever going to Plymouth http://m.scotsman.com/edinburgh-evening-news/speedway/speedway-monarchs-pay-tribute-to-tragic-winkler-1-2683708
