  1. Forty pages of accusations and counter accusations ,,enough is enough,,Jack it in now for everyones sanity .........Please
  2. This is going to be hard for IOW tonight ..Georgie Wood is a massive loss ,,it is doughtfull if a good enough guest can be found at short notice,, and R/R will leave only Ben Morley good enough to cover,,,just one ride......Danno Verge too will be missed as his form has been improving this season, hopefully he will make a quick recovery from his nasty crash at Kent ,,,Mildenhall too have to make changes but some of them seem to be beneficial.. hopefully all the IOW lads can rise to what is a difficult task...
  3. Wood withdrawn from Eastbourne v Birmingham after 3rd ride supposed back injury......iOW will need a top guest tomorrow if they are to have any chance against Mildenhall ,,Clegg,,maybe?..
  4. I have lost both my nearest tracks ,,Lakeside 16 miles and Rye House 34 miles...now just visit Kent And Mildenhall when my grandson is riding there,But I have to say it is no fun, with the horrendous amount of traffic on the roads these days..travelling these distances sometimes is it worth the expense and trouble....Promoters need to make a lot more effort to attract new local fans if speedway is to survive much longer..IOW and Kent seem to be two clubs making the effort,,,But some promoters haven't a clue.....
  5. Well done the IOW winners tonight and over the three legs of this competition,, Georgie Wood and Ben Morley looked at a different level tonight, both max,s ....Connor,King fought hard for his points and will be a decent rider at this level when he improves his gating..Verge was getting stuck in when the crash happened on the first bend with Extance and him coming together in what was first bend bunching both falling heavily ,,,best wishes to both for their recoveries This meeting had some good racing at times,,and it was a shame that it finished as it did....... well done to Len Silver and all those who organised these meetings to keep the fans interested on a weekly basis.........
  6. Finely balanced final round with some of the leagues top riders competing, should be some good racing here tonight ,,,weather looks ok..
  7. Another nail in speedways coffin,Cook should be banned if reports are true,,??
  8. Eastbourne have to be weaker with Georgie Wood. Having to move out of the reserve birth where he had a possible 7 rides and now also faces tougher rides like Ben Morley had too..
  9. Probably the best promoting team in British speedway..If only the other promoters put as much effort in then possibly speedway could see a resurgence in this country.,.......well done again IOW..!,
  10. Comfortable win for IOW all round team performance,,Much improved from Widman all be it a little help from Ben when he won.Sincerly hope he can push on from this.and go on.the attack with his league performances....Chris your team needs you to keep that strong mind set..you can do the business........
  11. W,ith moderate bottom ends to both teams i will be looking to see if Chris Widman can go to the tapes with a determined mind set ,that should bring a greatly improved performance that he is capable of ,,,Which would please me, having been highly critical of his racing lately....
  12. Looks a well balanced meeting and hopefully will go some way to resurect Oxford speedway
  13. You would have a job telling youngsters any thing these days..........They know it all......
  14. Alfie is a very detirmined rider with little ability to turn a speedway bike on anything other than large tracks,, he gates well but if he gets inside another rider there are to many occasions were he makes uncontrolled contact and as such could be considered by some as dangerous ,potentially injuring another rider or indeed himself...We will see in the long run if that happens or he eventually becomes more controlled and a decent rider.....
  15. Sensible early call saves every one chancing travelling only to find it called off later.. A touch of the Len Silvers way how it should be done ....
  16. Ben Morley guests for Danny Ayres,,,,,,,Weather looks really dodgy for this one on sunday,,hopefully an early decision one way or the other will be made.....?
  17. Oh I spoke to soon looking bad for IOW now, though guest Smith is doing a good job
  18. No Georgie Wood again,,,,,,,any one know the reason,,,Looks a close meeting so far
  19. They certainly have Richard ,,and so have riders demands,,largely to keep their bikes in competitive order,......
  20. Things are not like they used to be,,nowdays every thing revolves round costs that are far more expensive than they used to be,,,,,hence longer delays with injuries
  21. A fairly well balanced set of pairs for this meeting...Hopefully some good racing with all the riders staying safe...
  22. Do the averages fit for either rider,,,? don't ask me not up on averages at Kent
  23. Hi blue herb77,,as you probably know I did the track at Rye back in the early 80,s with Hughie Saunders ,and have been staff on the Kent track when Ben was there ,l also did the track with Chick Woodruff many years ago at Rayleigh so I think I know what I'm talking about on tracks,,The track at Kent is one of the hardest to ride for young inexperienced riders..So take no notice of those knocking your opinions...For an example did you ever see Nathan Ablitt crashing at Lakeside ?.
