Rye Cobras head north to take on the Saints in the second half of a double header starting at 5pm ..,Jaimie Smith should return,,but David Mason is still missing from the line up will use R/R to cover..Saints without Buzz Burrows i believe are using R/R..Should be a cracking match with a close result..

The track was a bit grippy to start with ,causing problems for some,,but.settled down to provide some good racng.The Buxton team always give it a real go even though they were without a couple of riders.. The match could have gone either way and along with the do or die riding of Jason Garrity provided great entertainment..Marc Owen continues to improve at a fast rate..Kyle Hughes had one of his best meetings for the Cobras bringing home the bacon in heat 15..Ben Morley after falling when in front in his first went on to register a solid paid 9..Shane Hazelden after looping the loop in his first ride finished the meeting strongly with paid 5.Lee strudwick had to withdraw from the meeting after a fall in his 3rd ride(nothing to serious and hopes to make a quick return to racing)..guest Jerran Hart scoered 8+1 after a couple of falls..No 8 Tom Stokes rode well in his one R/R ride ...Allot was the stand out rider for Buxton with Robert Branford not far behind,, but both teams were a credit to the meeting..

A very good meeting according to reports .well done to the devils i had thought it would have been a tighter result.Another excellent showing from Marc Owen..The rest of the team reportedly rode hard for their points ,, in which individual scores perhaps did not reflect that effort..

Hope to see all the COBRAS score plenty of points.... especially the league points..Good luck tonight wish i could be there...

With the england football team now playing on sunday.. the rye house forum states this match will now be on sat evening 7pm ....Buxton could be without Craig Cook..Hopefully Jaimie Smith will return for the Cobras..

Engine rebuilds after a blow up can cost up to £9oo .We are talking a few thousand pounds over a season..Promotions such as Rye House ..scunthorpe are very keen to bring on youngsters .And there are the Amateur clubs ,,Southern track riders....The Dragons club...Who run at tracks like Rye house ... Kings lynn..Sittingbourne in kent ...Newport ,..exct..Who cater for all age groups,, and abilities...

Most teams could put a side together but i do not think the public appreciates the huge cost involved to the families of these youngsters ..Many just cant afford to travel the long distances involved...AND THEY RECIEVE NO PAY MENT FOR PROVIDING SECOND HALF ENTERTAINMENT...//And the cost of maintaining a Speedway Bike would frighten you to death //...

I have to apologise i refered to the pocket rockets and the kings lynn juniors as cobras and the barracudas im new at this posting game this refers to my original post.

thecobras fielded a very strong side even without marc owen . ben morley an impressive 10 paid 12. mike bovis 2 wins and an engine failier when miles in front. Ashley morris had a win and two paid seconds behind team mate ben morley . and Derrol ritchings who i had not seen before scored a creditable 3 from 2 rides. for the barracudas nial strudwick battled hard for his 7 points from 4rides. if anyone can post the full card of results i would like to see them.
