To get the IOW up and running again is a feat in itself,However i fear the team needs strengthening to maintain a reasonable crowd level that will enable it to continue running after this season

Remember Branford would have to replace a No6 cant ride as a 3point national league rider..Having said that he would definatly be better than Karger at Rye House but they would have a lot of points to play with if Karger left ,,,though i do not see that happening in the near future,, as they will give the lad every opportunity to improve

McCauley Leek to my surprise in his first meeting proved to be the pick of the Rye rookies and should be persivered with at the exspense of Lock or Bowdrey in my opinion ,How long we can expect 3 riders to carry the team i do not know Hopefully Hunter should be back soon Ben Morley and Rob Branford provided the little bit of excitement for the Raiders fans,that im afraid are likely to look thin on the ground befor long without some improvement from the bottom end..

Jonny the spud makes good points,,If you do not agree with some one of Adams class riding in this league ,you can only blame the rules that allow it,not the rider or the club that have every right to take advantage ..

What ever the result ,there are some of the best riders in this league battling tonight,,I also expect we will also see the difference in the level of the rookies on show ,,Should be interesting.....Wrap up warm it will be cold ,the north wind blows straight in to the stands here...

A good compromise would maybe an hour or two earlier..but then again what ever time they start it will not suit everyone...

There are novices and there are novices,at the moment ,Raiders are a bit behind some of the others.we have to hope there will be improvements sooner rather than later ,other wise it will be along hard season..

The main problem for me is when a guest is a stronger rider than the one he is replacing ie Bowen allowed in to this league on a ridiculously low average .He will be getting guest booking s everywhere until he obtains his real average,, At least Adam Ellis who will also be to good for this league has come in on his true average from last year ,even though he is an even better rider now,,The gap between the top riders and the novices is now huge in this league

Bowen will be much stronger than wachnecht,how the hell did he get into this league on such a low average,,should be at least a ten ,,,If that is right sing4kings Banks for Woods ..it will not improve the teams obvious weaknesses..Oh we'll another Tonkin...

Rob Branford makes his seasonal debute at no 1 with Ben Morley at 5 Luke Priest at 3 and that basically is the team that faces the might of a very strong Birmingham side..We all know you can not win with only 3 riders scoring the bulk of the points,, but we know they will give it all they,ve got..Hopefully the rest of the side will make improvements as each meeting goes bye,, Woods should be doing better by now and needs to get it together ,,R/R is doing us no favours either,, Hopefully when we are at full strength later in the season we can win a few matches, but do not expect to much at this stage of the season from the two very inexperienced riders who may or may not make the grade only time will tell
