  1. I take it from the completed team that Cris Widman may have retired...But as yet no confirmation of that..What ever the future holds for him I wish him all the best.....
  2. Not a bad side in depth..but I only see two actual heat leaders,,Ben and Connor ,,remains to be seen if one of Woolley or Campos can step up,,Leek was improving last season and the youngsters King and Wirtzfield can obviously improve this season..So wishing all at the IOW a happy ,,safe year ,,with hopefully a team that can challenge for honours...!,
  3. Sings ,,obviously something would have to be worked out along the lines you have mentioned,,,, especially if they adopted handicaping for regular league racing....
  4. The problem with handicap racing, which can be excellent ,,is, making the riders payments fair for all abilities...difficult?.
  5. Hopefully Coles can pick up a bit of sponsorships at the IOW ...They have one of the best management teams in British Speedway
  6. Good to see Connor King back has the right attitude, needs to improve his gating this season...
  7. I'm sure Connor King will be there,he is very popular with the fans and Danno too has been making progress each season ,,hopefully a bit more to come this season.....
  8. Yes Hume should have a place on ability.maybe a deal has not gone well some where,,we do not know what goes on behind the scenes
  9. I think you may be right Bagpus i can not think of any other reason for signing Ledwith.... And for Pinnys information,, Morley had a plus 5 average when at Lakeside and last season had to ride at no 2 at Eastbourne ,not reserve , and not one of his best tracks....
  10. The thing is Morley is a class act round Kent even Len has said so to me ,,,and easily beats Ledwith every time ,,facts
  11. Philipsnr ,your entitled to your opinion ,but down here and around Kent there is no question who is the considerably better rider... ..?
  12. I'm sure a contract could have been done but they had already signed Ledwith
  13. Stranger kings,,I'm sure Ben would have been happy to be in Kents championship side..
  14. Captain Ben Morley is back again with the Warriors,,,,,,,Sadly not as yet a Championship place,,Kent will surely be kicking themselves later for signing Rob Ledwith instead of Ben who would have been a much bigger scorer on a similar average...Their loss..!
  15. I heard Joe Lawler rides the track well would be my pick at no 5
  16. Canterbury were the Crusaders so I suppose that is highly suitable for a Kent county club
  17. Handicap racing ok for individual meetings but a big NoNo for league racing!,,,! If they bring that in a lot of riders will pack it in.......
  18. It amazes me that the best people never seem to be in charge where they are desperately needed.........
  19. BMR have ruined the place!,,,,,,!
  20. What a shame about Rye ,gone right down hill since Len left?..Hopefully a decent Speedway promotion may return there.....
  21. The question is do Kent want to put out the strongest possible side ,,Gilks will improve with experience, but Ledwith will not,any team needs a strong reserve pairing.Kent have not got that....
  22. Ledwith was a poor signing on a 2.point average on a 4 its a joke ,,can they now change him for Ben Morley who would score miles more than Ledwith around Kent...??
  23. The national league has hardly enough fans now..It would be crazy to reduce the standard......Youngsters can learn from the older riders in the teams,,and it is so important, there is this level to bring them on,to the point they can progress to the higher levels
  24. Hope you are right Dave, averages seem to fit pretty well....
