  1. David Mason will do a job at home at least ,, i hope his health holds up ,as he tends to miss several away meetings..However Nick Lawrence has been around for years struggling to get in any side because of his lack of ability , very poor signing you need improving youngsters at reserve,,,, I can live with Mason,,,But two old hands not what was required to keep the fans at Lakeside,,.
  2. Would like Stoneman,,but I have feeling it may be Mason
  3. Ben Morley is riding in the Rob Woffinden memorial meeting this coming saturday in Australia ,,Good luck Ben and stay safe
  4. Most riders need two leagues to make it financially viable
  5. Thanks for that info Arnieg,,seems a bit stupid that they can not ride in both leagues at their age..
  6. Gazzac judging by the persistent. personally verbal attacks on here I make you dead right ! Good informative post Sing4 Kings what it should all be about....
  7. Not sure how the likes of Boxall can get back in to this league ,,when the likes of Clegg,,,Branford and Ash Morris ,,,Liam Carr can not, seems stupid to me and unfair....
  8. Sings for Kings i saw him at Rye last year and i have to say i was very impressed,,I think once he gets dialled in around Kent he will prove to be an excellent signing
  9. A very interesting and informative post from John Leslie.....must have taken some time on the research... Gustix i believe is a genuine former speedway supporter who,s knowledge goes back far more years than most of us ...so he is probably knocking on a bit. ..Modern attitudes and opinions have changed... and i believe i read, he is unable to get to meetings for whatever reason now days,,so this forum is probably his main contact with the sport,,I wish people would stop knocking him..He is still entitled to an opinion..
  10. I agree the points limit is about right ,,with only a few riders on 5 to 7points still to be placed ..of course David Mason is one of those and a few posters have said they would not want him in their team at the expense of younger riders..Gustix just does not agree with that reasoning and is entitled to his opinion...
  11. Gustix is entitled to be keen on any rider, (David Mason in this case),,even if the majority are not of the same opinion ,,and while a bit stuck in the past,he still makes a valuable contribution to speedway threads...And by the way Gustix,..David Mason could still get a team place this season..
  12. All the best to Shane for a full recovery,,very sensible giving things time to be fully healed before riding again..
  13. If Smith is out of the running then Stoneman would be number 1 choice with me to,,However Shane Hazelden at his best would be a good option allowing Hunter to start at reserve with an additional 4 pointer in the team ,,+one 3 pointer giving a more strength in depth side
  14. Ok we have all talked about Kelvin to keep the thread going ,though we know being in the team is just wishfull dreaming..But i do wish they would announce the third heat leader before there are none left worth a carrot ,As i see it Jack Smith my personal first choice ,,,Stoneman ,,, Shuttleworth or even Mason if he is fully commited to do all the away meetings ,,and Lakeside would suit his stye get out the gate and sit on the white line......
  15. Hopefully all the teams can produce competitive sides ,..that will give good race meetings across the board
  16. Rest in peace Bryn a speedway legend
  17. Greg Hancock would be good if they can fit him in.?
  18. I would like him on 3.98 please then we could start him at reserve..or is that to much to ask for a tenner.??
  19. Due to the lack of real events happening,,Unlikely ones are being discussed....
  20. Assuming in the unlikely event Tatum could ride in this league. How could they give him an average.and what would it be.?
  21. Heat leaders on the right average are in short supply..If they have not signed one yet I can see problems,
  22. Saw Bradley Andrews at Rye last year looked a very good prospect,,was kind of hoping he might get signed by Lakeside,,
  23. Best wishes and get well soon,,see you at Lakeside in the spring..
  24. With all the newcomers this year,, Sam Woods would do a good job at reserve, providing he can keep his equipment up to scratch ,we must have one reserve experienced enough to get regular points..
  25. I just hope they have got the riders they want signed up and are keeping us all in suspense for the announcements...If not the options will be getting less and less as the days go by and we could be getting the left overs........
