  1. Mike you obviously do not plan your summer as others me included do,,or you to would be fed up with the incompetent way this league has been run for years..
  2. You must realise that Peter Morrish is the co-ordinater of this league..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  3. I imagine there is not a National League team in the country that would ,not like Kelvin Tatum in the pits working with the young riders .We are lucky to have him at Lakeside..His enthusiasm and knowledge will be invaluable to all the riders young and old...
  4. The future as was hinted at last night may depend on how this season goes,,But there was considerable optimism from Jon and Kelvin ..the Premier League however was not considered to be in good health for the future...
  5. I did not say Bowen and Boxhall were struggling,,and you can not compare Kent with Lakeside totally different... I saw them both on their most recent visits which was in the top level ,and thought they were not at their best....
  6. Went to the Lakeside forum tonight.Very good turnout and a lot of positivity from Jon and considerable enthusiasm from Kelvin. They are looking to create a Lakeside family atmosphire between Riders and the fans this season. All looking good for an enjoyable years Speedway........
  7. One of Ben,s best tracks ,,nice lad,,wish him well for a good season,,..
  8. Many of the riders will not have ridden Lakeside before so it should be a fortress,Even the top riders in this league ,Bowen and Boxall are not at their best on this very tight circuit....the away matches should be the deciding factor in their final league position,,
  9. The level of support will no doubt go a long way to determine the future of speedway in Essex ..if you want it support it........
  10. Good luck to Kyle Hughes hope he has a great season,,nice lad and a top rider at this level....
  11. Are they saving the announcement of the last rider for the forum..?"""
  12. Natural TENT..Not sure you have covered that correctly
  13. A regular visitor to Lakeside in recent years .
  14. Lakeside Ben Morley ,,a track expert here .will score big home and away.. Alfie Bowtell,,will need to get used to the tight bends at Lakeside ,to improve. David Mason ..Track will suit his style, will score well at home,,Away, will need to up his game considerably Zach Wajtknecht,,,,Hopefully will continue to improve and challenge Ben for the No 1 spot George Hunter Has potential and should be a solid scorer ,will need to steer clear of injuries Nick Laurence,,Been a makeshift reserve for several seasons .without showing much,,However has enough expe rience to get points against some of this seasons rookies No 6 ,Hopefully a 3 plus lad that will use the full quota of the points available If all goes to plan and with considerable home advantage,,,should make a top six side
  15. Gustix I think what you are looking foris on page 5 of this thread...
  16. Judging by Cooks remarks on their website about our first Sunday meeting.i wonder if the race days may vary with some sats,, some fridays and sundays ..I hope we get a fixture list sooner rather than later if that proves to be the case so we can plan our summer....
  17. I think this seasons top sides will be the ones having the best improving youngsters,,and in this respect i think Kent have one of the best in Jack Thomas. ..Nathan Stoneman though around a while is still open to improve on good equipment,,was hoping lakeside would sign him ,,,but there you go good luck to him at Kent....And Hopwood is a steal on his false average.......Most teams looking similar in strenght ,,so improvers.will be vital......
  18. I think Hopwood is nailed on, goes well round Kent...And if you get Stoneman you should be well pleased..Most of the rookie reserves will be a gamble/...
  19. Any one have the race details of the Rob Woffinden memorial meeting .?
  20. I still think Fridays are the most likely nights to run...Even with the cars running sats and sundays,it is running against Rye House on sats .i can not see that happening ...No more than 10 to 12 pounds to get in and 2 pound for a programme tops,,Any more and i can see many fans staying away..I hope they get it right and do not get greedy....
  21. It has to be said that a number of third choice riders this season are not true heat leaders.the lower points limit does not help in this respect...Having said that the number of heat leaders was really limited any way..
  22. It is becoming obvious that David Mason was the only rider available that fits the bill regarding average,,Lakeside will suit his style and i expect him to more than hold his own round there especially as has been pointed out many visitors will have no experience round the track..i just hope he can up his game away and indeed he is well enough to compete in them.....
  23. Hector,,please we are all at a low ebb already !! As a point of interest are there any riders around 3.4 left that we could fit in to give us a slightly stronger reserve ???
  24. These are depressing posts on here now,,after every thing started to look so positive after the first 4 signings.. ..It is now looking unlikely this side will be making the play offs,,,When will managements realise they have to put out competitive ,and above all if they want the fans to turn up, entertaining sides..And after dropping down two leagues this becomes even more vital....
