  1. Another close encounter with Kent should provide good racing,,Hope we have a strong ref on jump starts , not like the last time they were here..Connor Locke makes his debut and i am hoping he can prove me wrong and get some points ,,If he has to ride at number two it will be difficult... I think we will need at least 6 to 7 points from the bottom three to win this one,..Hope all the riders have a good safe meeting,,Weather looking OK..........hopefully....
  2. Why would they do that Tony E, I have agreed with all your posts,so perhaps they have also removed some of mine, but I could not tell if they had ,my memory is not that good these days
  3. I hope Lock spends more time on the bike than on his backside as he did last year at Rye ,would have thought the tight turns at Lakeside would not suit him,,He tends to lock up a bit and fall a lot ..Having said that he has a bit of dash about him and hopefully Tatum can sort out his problems.other wise this could be another bad signing,,There has to be some one out there better surely ???
  4. Tony E,,I to was there and i think you will agree the racing improved in the second half of the meeting when riders like Perry found the right lines to challenge our top boys ...Plus some interesting battles with some of the bottom end riders ..i am beginning to think some of the knockers preferred Elite League, and no longer attend because its National League....?
  5. Good post Liam, the knockers appear to be mostly those who do not attend///
  6. Most national league clubs would be more than happy with Lakesides crowd, which is spread round the whole circuit The knockers on here seem to be mostly those who do not attend....
  7. Cook said he was still looking to strengthen the team initially in the number 2 position.....
  8. Almost impossible to accruetly asses the numbers as the crowd is so spread out around the whole track plus people up in the large bar area but considerable more than the last meeting.......Cook not to bothered about those having a moan about Hurrys arrival.....
  9. Lakeside had to much top end power for Cradley whos only race winner (twice) was Connor Dwyer,...,But an exciting match was touch and go for much of the afternoon,,,Hammers pulling away in the last 5 races with 3 4-2s,,,Paid 4 ride max for Hurry on his league home debut ..full max for Zach,, with Ben on 11,, and Bowtell on 8 ,, provided the main bulk of the scoring, ..late on stirling efforts from Tom Perry kept the Heathens in with a chance of a match point..... Though Danny Ayers struggled to get to grips with the track today ,,,The track was kept in excellent condition all afternoon,, a credit to the track staff...the heavens opened during heat 15 which was completed just in time ..... Decent crowd must have enjoyed todays Speedway....Got the feeling Cook is still looking at possible no 2s, as the bottom end is still weak
  10. Good win for Lakeside.top 3 did the job plus a good return from Nick Lawrence
  11. Personally I think the track staff have done a brilliant job this season ,A big improvement on Gerald Richter never did rate him now doing Rye House says it all really .....Hopefully the storms will not arrive till the evening,,That's the forecast I believe,,antisipating an exciting match....
  12. Will Paul Hurry pull in the fans for this sunday meeting,,With Zac, and Ben its a powerfull top end,and Bowtell scoring well. ,question is can the long tail secure enough points between them for the victory over a strong Cradley side....Fingers crossed on the weather...
  13. If indeed Spooner has been signed to replace Hunter it could turn out to be a good signing i was impressed with his performance round Lakeside a few weeks ago...
  14. Hurry and Spooner replace Mason and Hunter, makes things very interesting tomorrow,,Lakeside now very top heavy...
  15. Two Two thinking that myself ?
  16. Alex Spooner in for the injured Hunter, now that puts a new angle on the averages saga.? Thats two changes ,,Tatum and Cook say Hurry rides both meetings this weekend..........
  17. Still no announcement from the powers that be ,regarding Hurrys eligability to ride,,,if it has not already been decided,,they are certainly keeping us all in suspense????
  18. Less ability ,,lower points scoring potential ,urge ? ?.?? Are you joking Gustix
  19. Ben had engine problems at Belle Vue ,and everyone knows his dislike.of IOW , He does not cheat and is gutted he has lost the no 1 jacket and will be doing his best to get it back in the coming weeks...Personally I think Paul wil strengthen the Hammers considerably and the opportunity has come to fit him in probably sooner than was expected. Feel sorry for David he has done what was expected, but it's a hard game and the change is a no brainer.....
  20. Hope this one is on weather looks a bit iffy,,,Brennan guests for Zack on duty with Swindon .if that is on.. fingers crossed all round... MEETING OFF,,at Lakeside
  21. Another tough task for the Hammers on another huge track ,after a difficult night at Belle Vue,....IOW have Liam Carr guesting who has just hit form and Spooner at reserve,,..Mason returns for Lakeside,,hope all the riders have a good safe meeting....
  22. Ultra weak sides like Kings Lynn do nothing to bring the fans through the gates....
  23. Lakeside will find it hard with R/R for David Mason ( injured) Will be interesting to see if they can cope with the wide open spaces of the track..Expect a bit of a tonking to be honest.....
  24. Can not see any sign of this meeting on the updates site .?.?
