  1. Same reason Newcastle have an EL heat leader as their No1. Rules are the same for everyone just some are smarter than others at manipulating them. It isn't right though!
  2. Its time. When you have to pull your No1 in their third ride having only scored a point the time has come. Looks like we could've at least got a point here. I'm holding back on criticising Rusty as he's been brilliant this season but FFS three zeros is appalling. MPT did us a turn and the rest seem respectable. If Newcastle can squeeze Britains third best rider into their PL team surely we can find a solution to our No1 racejacket. The time for patience has long since expired.
  3. Kelvin Mullarkey was an absolute headcase, todays riders don't come close to him thankfully. Riders insurance premiums probably went down when he retired!
  4. My comments were just being sarcastic. I'm frustrated to no end that a decent racer is chucking in the performances he is. I don't doubt for a minute that he is even interested in his average. What I am interested in is getting a No1 that can score decent points with double figures at home. ATM Wolbert has a shocking number of last places to his name.
  5. Who does he think he is, Joe Screen! Setting himself up nicely for a low average return to El Dale in 2015.
  6. In recent Premier League matches MPT has beaten Danny Phillips and Luke Bowen. If Glasgow have any sense they'll find a different guest in future. Tom perry would do.
  7. I'm usually running late, arriving within 5 mins of the start time and its a regular occurence that the gate closest to the pits is closed.
  8. Been saying for years that parade should be ditched, half the crowd usually keep talking through it anyway. Though yesterday it did help those queueing outside at 5pm to see ht1, only 1 gate open!
  9. There was no rain forecast yesterday but it chucked it down most of the afternoon.
  10. Good crowd today, 5pm starts are much better. Rye took it to last heat, a couple of points from Bowen in his opening rides could have changed the result. Anders T is typically inconsistent, lifted at the start in his first two. Hopefully this is the kickstart Wolbert needs to get going. Much tougher next week with Ipswich off the back of away trips to Somerset and another at Rye.
  11. Berge not due back until 24 July, couple of weeks to get back into it and up to speed and September will be approaching. Why we didn't or haven't signed a replacement is mystifying. Looking forward to Rye this weekend and for the first time in ages its forecast to be dry. Could Wolbert possibly win ht1 to get us on our way!
  12. The track must have taken a pounding yesterday with 6 hours of incessant rain. Met Office shows to rain from 11 til 4 today. Good luck!
  13. Career best paid 15 for Anders, less so Pijper who's poor run continues.
  14. True but we could sign a 6 pointer like Tabaka for the same return. If this keeps up someone else will get the benefit of his average being lowered next year and I think I know who! Not sure Kauko would change much but agree there are few options out there, perhaps a current EL second string?
  15. The problem hasn't been solved by signing Henry. Whenever it was we had our last home meeting, the programme listed Wolbert averaging less than 6 for 2014 when his CMA is 8.5+. Until we rectify that and start winning heats 1,13 & 15 at least at home, little will change. Christian Henry will strengthen the middle order but that will be offset by Anders moving into the 1-5 who is wildly inconsistent and IMO will largely struggle. Paper, cracks, you know the story ......
  16. Good point though fixing a No 1 is more expensive and more difficult to find.
  17. A positive change, lets make the next one at No1 and try to rescue a really pish season so far.
  18. Nothing on team changes though. If Berge is back in 2 weeks all the better however having not ridden for the best part of 2 months I wouldn't expect miracles.
  19. We have meetings Sunday and Monday next week, though the Sunday is non competitive.
  20. Typically its drying up now having not rained since 4. The only predictable bit about our season is that it'll rain on a Sunday.
  21. We don't have our troubles to seek, you just couldn't make this up. Only started raining at 1, dry overnight but its battering down now. We must have had more rain offs than home meetings now! Perhaps the club statement regarding changes could be posted online tonight.
  22. If Henry is coming in he could be in for Berge depending on the numbers. Wolbert is where the real change is required. Whilst others harp on about Lemon he's in the team to score 5 or 6 points a meeting which for the most part he has, not to be a No1. Theo should also take a good look at himself, I'm a big fan but he's been woeful over the last few weeks.
  23. Statement on Tigers website saying last night unacceptable, changes to come, fans updated tomorrow. In Speedway Star says Dimitri to have scan early to mid June to determine how his recovery is going. Doesn't sound like we'll see him anytime soon! Bring on the changes!
  24. Good question, we've been on the verge of extinction for 2 years now, though nowt changes on track. I doubt we have the cash to make changes. I'll still be at Ash on Sunday. I don't expect a league winning side just a credible one that can supply a bit of entertainment, at home anyway.
  25. Mug punters, they'll never learn! Like you couldn't have foreseen last night and then want to complain about it. There is supporting your team through thick and thin and then there's being downright delusional. Glasgow are on the fringes of not worth supporting at all away from home. Scunny will smell an away win tomorrow and only they can chuck it away.
