Whatever happened to Jordan Stewart who was injured at Brum in 2021? Will he ever come back to speedway?

Edinburgh v Berwick Championship Friday 28th July at 7pm

Its a double edged sword, if you let Jorgensen go another club will benefit from his now realistic average however if you keep him he could be just as p1sh as this year. Berwick need a real clear out, Leon needs to be refreshed at another team, Knudsen hasn't shown what he promised last year and Etheridge is Dany Gappmaier in disguise. Hopefully there is a plan B for 2024. -
4) The practice will do him good as Glasgow visit next week.

He never does when expected to be the No1. Almost always on an attractive average at end of season though. -

It all depends on who is training them, they all seem to interpret rules their own way and the trainer passes on their bad habits. It totally pi55es me off when some refs let jumping go but others pull it back then don't consistently follow it through for the rest of the meeting. -

Belle Vue and Peterborough apart, its a poor watch IMO with passing pretty rare. As you say it often becomes tedious mid meeting. -

We've already moved him away from 5 which should be easier with no ht13 but I dont think its working paired with Vissing, he and Basso are much better. Brennan does seem noticeably absent in the big heats. Vissing is reknowned for his mid season collapse, although tonight was frustrating he will come good again. If we could find a competent and consistent 4 pointer, the cheque book should come out. We didn't take advantage of Oxford going a man down tonight because we couldn't. Just like against Poole we didn't gate and never forced Oxford to chase the meeting. -
The M74 is fine its the M6 thats an absolute b1tch especially on a Friday!

I meant Complin not the team!

Brilliant meeting that could have gone either way right up to the last few heats. Last years rider of the season turned up again to remind us we should have kept him. More passes than an SNP conference tonight.
-
Surprises me greatly but thanks for doing the numbers. Hopefully tonight he can put decent points on the board.
-
Unfortunately you need to hug the white line at speed during the opening batch of heats at Ashfield which isn't Lee's forte. Another challenging night coming up.
-
Yes we were crap because we could'nt gate. We knew this going into it but came out worse than ever. This time last year we had Ostergaard who made us respectable by gating and by default winning races, despite not being the fastest of riders no one could pass him. I'll disagree about Lawson & Worrall revelling in the outside dirt, they revelled in the 20 yard dash to turn 1. On the one occasion Lawson didn't gate quickest he couldn't get near Basso over the remaining 3.5 laps despite Basso also not looking the fastest. It is what it is, Glasgow aren't a bad team but can't blame anyone else, it wasn't a mystery what the track was going to be like.

Good meeting unfortunately cut short. Had Mountain not been injured we would have been toiling IMO. Can't understand Scunny riders gamesmanship in ht9 when the meeting needed pushed on to avoid the rain, they appeared with a few seconds to spare then were slow out again in ht10 but out ok in the remaining heats. Did they really want a rainoff? -

Yes. Aiden Collins was the far better prospect IMO but after coming back to us after spending a winter in Australia, never seemed the same. Moved on to Workington possibly then retired. -

We signed Scott when SD was there. He didn't get on too well from memory. -
Observation more than anything. Lee has the experience to overcome it, hopefully.
-
He struggles to hold the inside coming off the bends at Ashfield whether slick or deep, often gifting the rider behind a pass having done the hard bit of getting in front of them in the first place. Those single points are what could make or break us in the play offs.

Thirty to forty minutes of grading between heats 4 and 10 would suggest we were trying to recover the track to suit us. Complin and Pijper really struggled but Nowak really seems uninterested in conditions that dont immediately suit him. Ht13 is one of the best races I've seen. -
The better racing was among the lesser lights last night with Pearson, Alfie BT, Pijper and Complin. Morris without engine issues would have made it a bit more respectable but with no middle order Brum look very vulnerable.

Glasgow Vs Redcar 2nd leg KOC QF 30th May

Lee is noticeably struggling to control the bike for whatever reason and it shows. In the early heats at Ashfield you really need to hug the white line however coming off the corners he can't hold it. Twice last night he got done inside and out on bends one to two and is often very untidy or out of shape off turn four. Perhaps Lee is over trying but its doing him no favours. He was much more effective at Berwick where the big track corners are less intensive. The light will be shining on him as he's got experience but so also does Marcin who was woeful last night and Sedgmen who put in an average Sedgmen performance. Our rider of the season last year came back to remind us what we are missing.
