  1. Pretty poor meeting for the first half, Worky never really got going until ht13, being poorly served by their woeful middle order of Campton, Hansen and Jensen. EF's for Worrall and Lunna stopped Glasgow hitting 60 though only just. Ht15 was decent as Lawson went from third to first. Lunna again ran riot from reserve but perhaps the only memorable part of the meeting was the unseasonable wind which made poor opposition all the less bearable to watch.
  2. Decent but not insurmountable lead for Berwick to take into the away leg.
  3. Jim MacGregor saw through it the first time on Sunday, surprisingly. Twice in a week just wouldnt be good form.
  4. Surprised Branford replaced Lanham and not Morley in ht14, surely Lanhams experience could have brought more even if he had been poor to that point.
  5. The track staff will work wonders to get it on, you dont have any guests that worry them. Should things not go to plan starts will be delayed and the TM will be unavailable in the pits. Moral high ground no more Mr Campbell, you did it right in front of our noses and we have been kind to you by not going OTT in the match report on the GLA website. Wonder if the same would happen in reverse? Anyway m'on the Rockets.
  6. EDI dont have the luxury of Sedgmen to step up to the plate like they did last year when that happens. Im sure they would have thought Eric Riss would have grown more into that role this year but like Clegg he really hasnt pushed on from 2015. Mark Riss looks much of a muchness of his brother, be interesting to see his final average in October.
  7. Lunna at reserve for the next month will be a trump card though Fernando has gone off the boil making the jump up to No2. Need to be at our best to beat Somerset in 3 weeks.
  8. I thought Michael Max did Trent a dis-service today talking about his best heat. Im certain it was he and Christian Henry in a ht8 against Newport who scored an against all odds 5-1 against Frank Smart golden double and Craig Watson golden double tactical substitute in a moment of Neil Street managerial madness!
  9. Somerset are the best 1-6 in the PL IMO and we'll enjoy seeing them nonetheless.
  10. Not seen gamesmanship like that for many years. Funny how Harkess couldnt be located in the pits when a replacement had to be nominated for Riss. MacGregor was wise to it thankfully. Just shows the self appointed moral high ground they proclaim are just the same as everybody else and will attempt to manipulate situations when circumstances require it.
  11. A definite chink in his armour. There is no point gesturing to the referee from the track, as if he's expected to interpret what it is, get back to the pits and get the TM to communicate on your behalf. Extending his middle finger to the crowd, superb, confirmed he was rattled and all of his own doing.
  12. Probably best that was called at ht14, Masters temper was starting to get the better of him. The 0131 were desperately trying to stem the tide throughout the meeting but 2 race wins and no heat advantages added to no TR facility made it very one sided. Monarchs attempts to delay the meeting at the start of ht12 backfired as MacGregor got their measure and excluded Riss E when Clegg should have gone having been a full bike length back from the tapes long after the 2 mins expired and refusing to move forward. Lunna was immense on his return and Luke Chessell looks like he could have got himself a PL place for the next month. Hopefully GLA are through to the next round but you just never know at Arma.
  13. I dont detect on this thread that it is anti Edinburgh more frustration with the inconsistent lack of application of the rules. If Davey isnt eligible to ride for GLA tomorrow then fine but an official statement from the powers that be as to why and what rule prevents it would quash most of the discussion here but thats not going to happen for reasons that have been long debated.
  14. A point is better than nothing. Looks like Bewley scored Payne's monthly average in one meeting.
  15. Concussion for Danny Ayres who will now miss Redcar tomorrow and the 0131 at home on Sunday.
  16. Four big away points banked by the money men. Hopefully more of the same tomorrow at Redcar.
  17. Thats a fair point, Glasgow should be able to take advantage if Stachyra takes time to find his feet. We need to avoid last places especially our reserves which is easier said than done. A good meeting in prospect.
  18. Breaking the party line there TS. You're supposed to hate the Berwick track and run it down at every opportunity. Wonder if the Peterborough fans will also take it up?
  19. Riders who suffer serious injuries such as a broken thigh in Bjerre's case often have a poor year the season they return but pick up the season after. A good example is Josh Grajczonek who similarly broke his thigh in 2011 with Glasgow and was pretty average in 2012 when he returned. Despite wanting to move track for the 2012 season there were no takers. Bjerre could prove to be in demand in 2017, or not depending on if Havelock holds his registration. Definitely not a No1 though even at the height of his game.
  20. The track staff will have been in since Glasgow declared their team, working tirelessly through the night to make it not just rideable but raceable. Campbell will be pi55ing himself in expectation.
  21. Ouch! This could be a sore one. Im sure the track staff will work wonders to get it on.
  22. They usually wait and see who the guest rider is first!
  23. Tough to find guests for Worrall and Lunna with so many matches on elsewhere.
