Edinburgh V Peterborough Pl 23/9/16 @7.30pm

He isnt as dominant on big tracks like PB or the new BV. Watching him at BV he is reluctant to go right out wide in the mid to latter part of the meeting and at times will frustratingly stick like glue to the white line which leaves him vulnerable. Riding like that on big tracks isnt going to get him anywhere if he gets another chance in Poland. He may be better to try the second tier in Poland which is littered with PL standard riders which he could compete against and get himself better known. Having a try out once a year with Gorzow wont present much opportunity as a couple of duff rides and its door closed. I could see Cook switching EL clubs next year to one of the smaller tracks and coming back to EDI, milking the cash cow of easy heat wins to boost his finances and confidence. -

Perhaps but likely a whopping loss to the club with fans not turning out to watch this nonsense. -

Only when it suits them. -
Quite an enjoyable meeting despite the wet with heats run in quick succession. Glasgow's desire to win was tremendous with Lunna, Summers and Bach just never giving in. Ht15 was superb with Bach chasing Wells for 3 laps before going under him though may have benefitted from Wells goggles pinging off at the end of lap 2. Credit to all the riders for giving it a go with the categoric exception of Jensen who gave up before the first bend in his first two heats and pulled onto the grass. Hansen worked his socks off and Vissing let his frustration get the better of him at the end of ht13. Never say never but Glasgow should have safe passage through. Roynon seemed to have bike issues in the early meeting and Jensen was disinterested which counts for 5 R's.

Confirming any aspiration to ride at another level is gone and returning to milk the cash cow of endless easy heat wins at Arma. -

Superb! Four league points when you really really need them and Campton has a stinker. Doesnt get any better. Makes the EDI restaging less significant if we get it before the cut off. -

That was a massacre few predicted with little entertainment to view other than Garcia in ht14 stalking and getting Howarth on the line. Bates and Berge looked like reserves not coping in the middle order and Greaves wasnt at the races. Sissis was the only visitor to come away with any credibility. Garrity r/r scored 5 points much what he would have if he werent 'injured'. Its now 2 weeks to our next home meeting being disadvantaged by yet another shared event running at a weekend next Sunday. No tractor races today so proves someone is listening. -

If Garrity performs as normal at Ashfield he'll be on his arse at least once when leading a race. Narrow home win predicted. -

A lot depends on the team order with the new averages. Summers needs away from No1 but will he be replaced by Worrall or Lawson? Also will Lunna and Garcia switch places? -
Glasgow Vs Somerset Pl 21/08/16
MD replied to damosuzuki's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Even if Jorgensen scored the same as Allen would have, Bewley got 13 more than Zac would and Wilson Dean was well off the pace. I agree if Somerset and Glasgow are to meet in the play offs it is the Somerset leg that would largely determine who progresses. -

Summers was inconsistent prior to moving to No1 and is a bit more exposed now. At the next set of averages it may be that Worrall goes to No1 and Lunna and Garcia swap. -

Agree with much of that, what a great meeting, with the first eight heats all within a second of the track record such was the standard of the riding. Bewley was sensational in his second heat aggressively going under Lawson with a very self assured style. He won ht14 untroubled and took second from Garcia on the line in ht10, how we could have done with that point. Somerset started well winning 5 of the first 6 heats opening a 6 point lead but Glasgow fought back to be 6 ahead at ht10. Unfortunately the major regrade after then handed back the advantage to Somerset as they won easy 5-1's in heats 11 & 13 which effectively sealed the deal. Whilst Bewley outscored Zac Waj points for the last month, we have all played that card and no point complaining, Somerset were simply better. A home defeat at this stage is perhaps what we needed, proves we arent invincible despite the hype and will hopefully restore some desire at the top end of the team. It would be interesting to know what Summers and Tungates spat was about after ht15, but well done the Rebels anyway. -
Edinburgh must be regretting the two suspect call offs in June against Plymouth, where Palovaara was to guest in a full strength Devils team that still included Kurtz and against Glasgow where Doolan was to guest in place of Bach, I think. #didnaefancyit #microclimate #damagewasalreadydonetothetrackbutdrytoday #trackstaffwhoworkwonderswereallonholiday

Off your head more like. Both teams are well matched at 1-5, with Jorgensen strengthening Somerset for a rider who has never visited before. We have to pick up big points at reserve to build up any kind of lead. Bewley has yet to take a liking to Ashfield, hopefully it doesnt begin on Sunday. -

Is that Thomas Jorgensen from Berwick at No2?
