  1. When he doesnt gate can he make a pass on an equivalent standard of rider to himself?
  2. Modern journalism is copy and paste, they never think to question anything or that there may be an ulterior motive. Scotland is littered with them. In this case the information about Harris isn't sourced so may in itself be inaccurate or it may be the authors personal opinion.
  3. Maybe it was a ploy all along to get a southern CL team closer to his home.
  4. Likewise, I wish both well, however Douglas can gate, Pickering can't consistently. At a higher level it will be exposed and its points that help riders stay in contention for team places.
  5. Can someone ensure Marcin gets a medal, best move he ever made, albeit outwith his control. Dropped in the doodoo, we came out of it smelling like roses with Vad. Be good to enjoy this league success, the last time we slipped towards the abyss from 2012 - 2014 as a result, before the Facenna revolution from 2015.
  6. Strong top 5 and reserves an afterthought if Berwick can afford it, and him at the same time. Track prep his way and tactical rides at ht5 or 6 on the road!
  7. Very tense meeting but not a classic by any means as the track was prepped hyper slick to cope with some serious rainfall. No grip means next to no passing. The Pijper gamble didn't pay off, too inexperienced on a tricky surface and possibly not 100% fit. Gate 1 was awful most of the night with riders spinning in the deep stuff, and really worked against us in the early heats. Hopefully we can set up a track that suits us for the final as Poole will p1ss themselves to have it as slick as it was tonight.
  8. It may become a diluted Prem, with the Championship doing the same.
  9. Give him until June, perhaps July 2024.
  10. Marcin would have made it very interesting and Pijper would have been more on the pace than Complin early on. Good meeting to watch just like the BSN meeting earlier. Updates site has several references to Glasgow riders stealing it on the line, never giving up would be my take. Brennan should be given the No2 race jacket with our recent signing, he's really toiling.
  11. The Premiership may need Glasgow but Glasgow doesn't need the Premiership IMO. The racing at home is good even against the weaker teams, like Edinburgh. Moving up would mean the nearest team would be Manchester when EDI, Berwick and Redcar are all closer. I've no great interest in what the Premiership does but wish the Championship teams would stick together and not be dictated to by a league the country can longer sustain.
  12. Bomber had the throttle open up scraping the fence in that heat, TB doesn't do that. Still enjoyable tonight with Complin a different rider. Expected more from Schlien.
  13. Signing a 7 point rider on a 9.5 average hasnt helped matters. It pushed valuable points away from the lower order and made the team even weaker, though I appreciate there may not have been many options out there.
  14. Would be 31 at that point. Who knows what state UK speedway will be in by then, there is usually always someone looking for riders.
  15. Does it matter who gets his registration? The rider will dictate where he will be riding.
  16. Thats the first problem, what the PL owners will want will differ from the CL owners. Sense will go out the window as self interest will dominate.
  17. He may opt not to come back however by keeping him at No5 suppresses his average and makes him very marketable next season should it be us or someone else. The problem with swapping him and Basso around is that if Claus isnt on it, as recently, they become a very weak pairing.
  18. Vissing is also going through his mid season slump and is as slow as a week in the jail.
  19. Andersen hasn't ridden yet so maybe not! I hope Berwick get what they are paying for and not a continuation of Peterborough.
  20. Out of character for Steve, his head really did explode in ht15 when there was no need.
  21. Had Havelock reserve switched Newman for Roynon in ht14 and given Roynon either one of ht6 or ht9 for Newman to help get rid of his third ride, it would have been easier for Poole to pick up third place in ht14. Why he didn't is inexplicable. Having been in total command at ht10 with the TS dispensed and being 10 points ahead, the dreaded regrade handed the ascendency back to Poole who won four of the last five heats. I'm still lost why we do it when it isn't advantageous to us or why it has to be fixed to ht10. If we must have it, it should be when it benefits us.
  22. Whatever happened to Jordan Stewart who was injured at Brum in 2021? Will he ever come back to speedway?
