  1. So to summarise: A major crash happened in the rerun of ht10 The sole Redcar rider was excluded by the ref with the heat less than a lap short of being able to award the race The subsequent rerun would have had 2 Glasgow riders only Had they both suffered EF's the score would still have been 24-32 Redcar had already used their TR A meeting result can be called after ht10 where it is cut short, in this case the 10pm curfew Ht10 at the third attempt was 60 seconds from completion There is provision in the rules for exceptional circumstances which has been applied in this case.
  2. A touch frustrating as well though that our No1 in 2015 who claimed mid season he couldnt adjust to the track shape turns up 18 months later and puts in a blinder. He took a point off his average from the previous year when he joined us from Somerset and took another half point off with us to finish 2015 on 7.91. We never did see the best of him that year. Noticeable he didnt come round at all today for a victory lap or after ht15.
  3. Indeed though perhaps Arma isnt his type of track. With a good run at reserve he can boost his confidence and bank balance to reinvest in better equipment.
  4. There is precedent though. When Berge walked from GLA in 2015 we applied for a 28 day facility for with-holding his services as is the norm and got 14. The standard get out of 'not in the interest of British speedway' was used.
  5. Perhaps Etheridge is better supported by the club at Berwick! He was thoroughly decent for a visiting No6 and light years ahead of the rider that turned up 12 months ago. Decent meeting overall, Morris got stuck in and the Bandits kept chipping away though were let down by Sarj with his usual gating technique and then the reruns. Bridger would definitely have made it closer.
  6. Used to be a standing joke in the 2000's when we were at Armadale when the Grand M was refereeing that if he had to put the red lights on, regardless of the cause he would be phoning John Campbell to see which Tiger he wanted excluded. Never harder on any other club.
  7. There'll be no p1ss taking at the starts then. Line up on time or your out. Amazing how the first exclusion changes rider behaviour at the start line.
  8. Seems Redcar have offered Glasgow a re-staging date of Thursday 16 June. However we should be appealing to have the result stand as ht10 was to be a formality with both home riders excluded and a nailed on 5-0 for Glasgow. I severely doubt the re-staging date will be agreed to regardless.
  9. Or will he do his usual big track routine, lifting at the start and hugging the white line for four laps. Will be a measure of his progress if he doesnt and picks up a few points.
  10. I get that but it still means we get speedway those weekends for the visit or Berwick and Worky. The point im making is that we should have challenged the original list which only had us running on 6 of the 10 weekends from the start of the season.
  11. Im not sure what the change of race night has to do with things unless its another one of speedway's legacy rules. Having 4 blank Saturdays in the opening 10 weeks of the season is bad for business and we should be able to challenge it although why it seems we havent is disappointing.
  12. Which would mean r/r for Bewley where we cant cover his scoring and also puts pressure on Perry to do 7 rides. However we could move to the Sunday to make this fixture happen and prevent another blank weekend.
  13. Hopefully we can get PB to re-arrange for Sat 17 June when we have a blank fixture.
  14. Its impossible to know if we break even, only the owners will know that. However as business people im surprised we havent taken action regarding our poor fixture allocation. We have suffered from this for several years. Chuck in 2 rainoffs on top of 2 blank fixtures and having to switch to Sundays for 2 meetings before the end of May and any continuity for fans is lost. For our last home meet against Redcar, the crowd was very poor. We also have another blank fixture in June, then its school summer holidays when crowds naturally dip as people are away.
  15. The only frustration is another weekend without speedway in Glasgow making it 3 weeks between home meetings. Tonight looked to be a much better prospect than it initially seemed with the introduction of Bomber.
  16. Potential for guests for 2 from Holder, Ostergaard and Hansen will significantly strengthen PB. Hansen in particular is going through a poor patch and is usually woeful at Ashfield. Ostergaard likewise.
  17. Close one but wouldve taken a point before the meeting. Glasgow continue their record of picking up points in every away meeting.
  18. Gating seems to be the defining factor at Sheffield these days with little or no passing. Glasgow can trap themselves but need to get off to a good start to keep the pressure on the home team. An edgy affair in prospect!
  19. Glasgow havent ridden since 13 May and certainly not last weekend. We've had a very frustrating fixture calendar so far with too many free weekends.
  20. Classic Dishington! Pulls some heats back but not others, gives out warnings sometimes but doesnt follow through on them for any other tapes offences. Worst ref by far. He disappeared off the scene for a bit last year and thought he had been given his jotters.
  21. Why would Redcar not just tell Hall after Thursdays meeting is out of the way, meaning Hall would be riding and not an NL guest? All sounds very amateurish to tell him today.
  22. Flicked the back wheel at him on turn 1. Lawson is a pretty sedate character but he was furious afterwards.
