Louis will probably come out with the Berwick TM was on the phone to the ref about Kemp's engine. #deflectiontactics
-
Absolutely but doubt it ever will.
-
Nope, we didnt get rid of enough guys. Harris and Sarjeant should have gone too when Kerr got injured as we had some points to play with. Had Worrall continued with us in the same vein his average would have been heading to 7 or just below. Not good enough!
-
Lots of things get said in the pits but the rider left with his engine. Perhaps a covenient distraction from Louis for another one that got away.

Bit of sour grapes from Louis, always perceived him as being above that. Both sides offered gifts to each other with Vissing looking like he didnt turn on his fuel in the same heat Starke crashed out for a 0-5. All Ipswich fallers were self inflicted, starting to need two hands to count the number of times Mark Riss has binned it on 3&4 since he came over here. A more clinical side would have slaughtered us, but thats for next week. Thought Kemp was superb, reminded me of the Dan Bewley of 2016 when he first started, and nothing like the Dan Bewley that rode with us last season. Cant fathom out why we never used Cook as a tactical for Starke in ht9 when we had the chance, especially as we were never more than six behind again and were only a single point short of stopping Ipswich taking a league point.

Almost all won be in the team but there are other priorities now.
-
Having only won once away from home and against a very depleted team, I think its pretty safe to say we wont win at Ipswich. I have my doubts we will beat Ipswich on Tuesday or at least stop them getting a point and think we should ask the riders to work on their averages for next year.

When riding against the 0131 he should always have a third bike available and tuned to GP standard. Seriously though why didnt he borrow a bike. If the first bike blew on warm up and the second was playing up, surely after 2 heats at most you abandon what hasnt been working and go to plan B. -

Infuriating when a rider misses the 2 minutes in their first ride but to then use the same misfiring bike heat after heat is unforgiveable. Well it is in this case! -
Wonder if Connor Mountain declined the booking? With Garcia turning it on in recent weeks and Kemp seemingly a decent prospect we need JT to be in amongst it from ht2. God help us with Sarjeant in the 1-5. Perhaps we could arrange a mechanic for Manzares to get the best out of him.

Nope, its Sunday league football that in reality is a seasonal one day a week semi professional sport run by fans with a little bit of wealth who can run things but not improve them. A select few can also manipulate the rules to suit, are accountable to no one and operate in, it seems in secrecy. -

Worrall then accepted a guest booking for Lakeside at Workington the following day. Injured or just didnt fancy it! -

I can understand why you may think we are ungrateful but its frustration with under performance that has built up all season and boiled over with the Edinburgh fixture, and another pumping. We have resources to match any club in our league, you've got to wonder how did it get to this position. Anyway, back to tomorrow hopefully it is dryer and we get the inevitable over in one weekend. -

Planning dept killed that one. -
Fair point but if there is one thing that has categorised our performances this season its been lack of fight. I thought down at Scunthorpe in July when we lost a last heat decider, that we had turned the corner. Cook got stuck in , Starke was aggressive and JT won ht2 to his credit, but not to be. We just dont seem to have that winning mentality or any one rider who can pull it out of the bag when we are up against it, perhaps thats why people question the TM, as its been season long. We need to take stock for this year and use what we have learned to make things better for 2019. The play offs are gone IMO and even if they werent I dont have any confidence this team would do anything anyway, other than have another away meeting like last night.

It was clear from day one that another top heavy team with a very weak end would do little as it did the previous season. It turned out that the top end would be just as weak as the bottom. Harris has been utterly woeful and insulted the fans with his incessant mechanical issues and poor performances. By being allowed to continue he has by default made a mockery of the owners. It was widely speculated we tried to replace him during May and June but signing him in the first place was the problem. Worrall as it turned out wasnt strong enough to carry it at 1 or 5 all season, as Edinburgh will find out next year when they dispense with Wells and his 9+ average. Vissing is what he is, just like Sarjeant, we cant act all surprised when they perform like they do. I've been super critical of the team structure all season, in particular the reserve make up but look at the teams which have turned us over, they often have a decent reserve who outperforms at home, Lambert at PB, Andersson at Edinburgh, Pijper/NBJ at Berwick, Jensen/Campton at Worky etc. Why do we overlook this when building a team. We could have had Pijper on 4.23 at the start of the season instead of Sarjeant. Anyway yesterdays result has confirmed what we knew for most of the season. Now if we could just roll over home and away to Ipswich!

Whats his status regarding a work permit?

Another outstanding 20+ return from the reserve positions. Berwick seem to be coming good. -
Crump was one of the biggest whiners of his generation. He was instrumental in making GP's slicker than slick during the Ole Olsen years which made the entertainment zero. He would argue black was white if it suited him and damn the rest. Having watched Shane Parker for 6 seasons, he was a fantastic rider but hated the wet. Sometimes you can look back through rose tinted glasses.
