Marson guested for Brum at Glasgow last week and looked better than most NL newcomers I've seen. Willie Lawson's lack of scoring can now be better covered in the 1-5 except ht8. Confirms its the end of the road for Sedgmen.

A bit but definitely not the worst for school holiday season. -

A good meeting for Connor Bailey to get more laps in on the Ashfield track, he really is coming on. No lack of effort from Shanes and Castagna but it was never going to be their night. The Brum TM never even attempted a TS ride when he should have given someone a go. Harder task next week with Newcastle and what looks like r/r for Cook who is at the SoN final all weekend. -

He is grasstracking, doing Swindon and riding in Denmark as well. Doing CL speedway seems to make him regularly double booked! -

Birmingham arent in a position of strength here and the balance of power rests with the rider. Ellis doesnt need CL speedway, its Birmingham who need him as he solved their No1 crisis when few others would or could. If they were to give him the bullet because of this it would be of little consequence to him but a major inconvenience to the them. -

Dont think Jack Smith can guest now he is unattached to a CL or NL team. Going to be a challenge. -

Sounds like it'll be Doolan guesting for Ashley Morris at 4 so Birmingham will be something like: 1. NL Guest 2. Agertoft 3. Castagna 4. Doolan 5. Aarnio r/r 6. Hume 7. Shanes Not going to be a classic by any means. -
Sedg is free.

Was quoted elsewhere that in the Edinburgh programme notes a recent meeting attracted 472 spectators including season ticket holders. -

Good meeting despite the lengthy delay. Cook and Lambert head and shoulders above the Poole team. Cook should have been more patient in ht15 he would have got Grajczonek over the remaining race. KL let down by a soft centre of Riss and Jorgensen. -

Not last night anyway. Sarj must have been needing the points money, never even twitched at the gate. My gripe is with inconsistent refereeing, some pull everything back, some wait to see if the rider penalises himself, others let everything go. -

A welcome 4 points on the road which we almost threw away with tactical naivety in ht13 gifting the Brummies a TS ride for Ellis in ht14. The TM should have sent Cook and Vissing out knowing a 2-4 wasnt on with Cook either sitting behind Ellis or Vissing letting Shanes through. It worked in the end but may have backfired at a stronger team. Some hard worked points through the order from Starkey, Bickley and Connor Bailey with Sarj unlucky to fall in his last ride. Adam Ellis was the pick for the home side though twice got away with jumping the start in the early part of the meeting and was creeping in ht10 which drew Jensen in. Thought Birmingham would have been stronger at reserve with Hume winning ht2 and not doing much else. Excellent venue to watch speedway on a pleasant evening. Onward to Redcar at home on Friday. -
Tragic

Had a habit of going missing in the later part of meetings and i think they got quite frustrated with him. However that was last year ............

Possibly Richard Sweetmans only performance for Glasgow, he was pretty awful and only really remembered for being photographed going head first over the first bend fence in a crash with Aaron Summers. That year we won the league carrying Sweetman, winning home and away but the resultant wage bill almost finished us.

Where is best place to park at Poole? Will be heading down A31 via Ringwood. Any local info would be helpful. -

Excellent post. The glory hunters probably dont even recognise who they are. -
Rode in the GP Qualifier at Glasgow recently using Ludvig Lindgrens bikes and with George Stancl as mechanic. Did indeed look impressive for his age and stage as a first time visitor.

Indeed, bigger teams to face with Redcar on Tues and Birmingham on Wed. The Brummies hardly seem to have ridden a home meeting over the last month, surely ripe for an away win. -

Reading the nonsense that was posted on there about him on Friday night after the meeting, I'm not surprised. However he is a young rider who needs an older head to have a quiet word, don't read speedway forums never mind post on them. He was the winner today, as he was on Friday, no better response than that. -

Today is why we should never return to Sunday afternoon racing. Got showered in sh1te watching a shower of sh1te despite track grading and watering almost every 2 heats up to ht10. There is no way you can beat the wind and sun drying out the track during the day. It rides totally different to an evening start and we were out of sorts in the opening heats when we should have put this lot to the sword, 35 points is more than flattering for a struggling team who turned up with r/r for their No1. I dont know why we couldnt start at 7.30 as normal when its cooler, the track retains the moisture and its the school holidays so families arent put off. Arguably the best heats were when the watering stopped with Starke having a stormer in heats 14 & 15 and Connor Bailey getting under Coles in ht14 but the boredom of watching tractor racing in the early meeting killed the normal excitement of a derby for me. Thankfully back to Fridays for the next home meeting. Onward. -
Which they thoroughly deserved. Different promotion now.

A quick glance at FB and Glasgow are win at all costs, paying the ref, cheating and with suggestions Edinburgh wouldnt be allowed to win. What a fkn great read, overwhelmed by victimhood and paranoia. A few more sensible punters are questioning their 1 & 6 and the TM for putting Wells in 15 or could it have been the away team were slightly better and took the chances that came their way.
