Glasgow V Edinburgh KO Cup 10 October
MD replied to Endeavour's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Racing incident IMO, Nicol did nothing wrong either. Kemp cut under Bailey just as Nicol was coming round inside, neither could have anticipated what the other would do, if they even saw each other. With the track being extremely slick to cope with rain you had to be aggressive to get anywhere, unfortunately another downside of October speedway. -
Steady! The Leicester promotion will use whatever manipulation is necessary to suit their needs/agenda at the time. Nice to see Dan T back riding and "illness" free.

Great meeting. Dr Dickson gave the sicknote to the wrong rider! At one point it looked like he wasnt going to send his riders out for the rerun of ht10. Kennedy put in a good shift at reserve and Morris got better as it went on. Hopefully the weather plays ball across the country this week, time is marching.

He's fecking desperate to beat us. Watch out for a track inspection prior to ht10 if things arent going to plan. Its already clouded over and the track will be super slick which will suit Leicester. It'll could be painful to watch Andersen gate and park the bus on the inside line with no dirt for the racers to get round him.

Never as slick as this IMO. Hopefully we will have another practice tomorrow, gating was poor tonight, Wells and Jensen not at the races. -

I know but GLA isnt like this through the season its only because we are so late into the year and the weather is unpredictable. Wells, Brennan and Jensen were scraping the fence looking for drive in hts 5&6 and going backwards. -

Track needs to be less slick, were not used to it which showed tonight. I know it was prepped for rain but this plays right into Leicesters hands. -

If the away team arrive without an agenda, and I stress if, the paying public might see some speedway this week. -
Trying to make sense of it all with bit part info. Leicester complain at 5pm bends 1 & 2 are too soft so spend 2 hours scraping every speckle of dirt off, tonnes of it, to the point of glass. Why? Was it really that soft or did Leicester not want to ride a grippy track? Two hours wasted watching tractor racing. Nothing short of embarrassing.

He never came alive all season never mind the playoffs. Been a decent visitor ever since.

Do Redcar always gate so poorly or were Leicester made to look good? MPT was sleeping at the tapes, one of the worst gating performances I've seen at this level, a couple more points from him would have given Redcar a win. Good stream though !

Glasgow v Plymouth Friday 10 September 7.30pm

Superb meeting tonight, Plymouth's fast starting lower order meant Glasgow had to overhaul them which made it great to watch heat after heat. Ruml worked out how to ride the fast line in ht14 and was gradually reeling in Nowak who had a superb debut, much more to come from him. The only down side was the referee letting the 2 minutes run out and riders still fannying about at the tapes a minute later. Its nonsense like that that ruins the sport and puts people off. Its 2 minutes for a reason. -

They are coming under unexpected pressure at home, something they haven't really been used to at Armadale. -

Brennan is a long term signing, well for a season anyway at Glasgow. He along with Jensen and Bailey will form the basis of the team next year. After that who knows. -

Think we got off lightly, tomorrow could be worse. Our transfer saga is self inflicted, turns out anything isn't better than Sedgmen after all unless the new Pole is more Kasprzak than Konopka. We couldn't beat Edinburgh at this rate.
