  1. Thought Berwick would do something tonight but def not to be. Harris looked to be having bike issues, Pijper spun out and Flint was impeded by his team mate before coming down hard. Knudsen looks a good find but FFS MacGregor, ht14 is the kind of p1sh he used to pull 15 years ago to get the Grand Monarch title.
  2. Richard had four laps to pass Ostergaard but didnt. Wonder what the issue was?
  3. I agree but continue to do that and we wont beat anyone like this over 2 legs in the play offs. Fairness doesn't get results. Tonight was about gating not racing, I was getting bored watching on TV but Poole got a 12 point win and the fans looked like they were going home happy. Could we pull back 12 points at home if this was a 2 leg affair. No chance IMO, our track is too fair.
  4. Ulle apart it wasnt good but if you didnt gate you were finishing the race in the same place as you left the second bend. Gives you perspective when we naively have a thorough track regrade at ht10 to produce good racing right to the end. What have we learned tonight?
  5. Poor meeting overall, hyper slick track with almost no passing. Had hoped to see better.
  6. Whether BWD can ride effectively is more important than his intention to continue riding. Isnt this the same shoulder injury that was troubling him in 2018 or 2019?
  7. Today should have been the Russian GP which was suspended so it was an opportunity to run a meeting here with some GP riders involved, if they wanted to come.
  8. Brilliant meeting to watch with lots of passing and repassing throughout, and often from the Championship riders. Lambert's hunting of Doyle and getting him on the last lap was superb. The only criticism was the excessive time between races with no grading and no one riding back to back. Rasser will need to smarten up for the GP Qualifier.
  9. Lawson riding a lawnmower. We know from experience when one of the heatleaders in a top heavy team dont perform it goes titties up. Got a feeling they will fix it for Wednesday.
  10. Ht15 didnt make up for an awful meeting to watch.
  11. Indeed, the only time I could describe the M6 as enjoyable!
  12. Glasgow outgated Birmingham for most of the meeting and held their position thereafter. Danyon superb, moved Cook out the way in ht1 for being too slow! Brum not helped by Ashley Morris struggling to stay upright and Vissing r/r yielding just 5 points. Wish them well, a very pleasant arena to watch speedway. £140 in fuel though ! Absolute piss ripping.
  13. Claus is now sitting nicely on an average of 6.73 which makes him hugely employable next year if Brum drop him.
  14. Last time I visited Brum in 2019 I parked in the car park to the east of the main stand which now seems to be labelled as the VIP car park on the Brummies website. Is this still available or is it only the section on the corner coming off the A34 that's for parking? Thanks in advance.
  15. Announced tonight that Robert Lambert replaces Palin. Quite an upgrade.
  16. We are looking much healthier as a team with points coming from everyone. Tonight was a learning point for Basso in ht14, he got off lightly with a straightforward looking off that could have been so much worse. Dynamite to watch him though.
  17. Ironic Redcar got 3 heat wins after the dreaded ht10 grading, which was actually after ht9 tonight.
  18. Not a drop of rain all day so far. A good drying wind should take care of any that does show.
  19. Stage 1 may be track construction only with everything else being work in progress in future years. With a blank canvas, getting the track shape right should be priority 1 as it was at Belle Vue and not Leicester. Perhaps a change from the Armadale or Powderhall shape is on the cards.
  20. Great meeting, lots of good racing and Glasgow really up for it though we've had harder meetings this season. Leicester had 11 last places and an exclusion with little back up for their top three. Basso was just superb though i do wonder if he didnt get ht15 for his own good. With the rain coming down and the trick becoming slippy the heat time was around 4 seconds slower than earlier in the meeting. Perhaps its time for Cookie to rest up for a week or so.
  21. Kyle Howarth seems a different rider this year. Normally his presence in this fixture is a bonus, for Glasgow, not this year I suspect. Last time out young Dan was r/r for an upset stomach, hope no one is struck down with anything this year.
  22. We need to win ht12. Meeting is delicately poised at the break, wonder if they are grading the track?
