  1. At least we'll have 2H and 2A then!
  2. Then pull out. The CL shouldn't be backed into a corner by one party, or a minority of parties.
  3. Rules, not just one! Never did hear if he was fined for publicly criticising the referee at Glasgow in July.
  4. The biggest issue is having a home fixture on average every three weeks. Add in that next years teams might have to be made up of half NDL/half CL standard riders and my enthusiasm is burst. Im not sure Glasgow will charge more but I am sure the thoughts, frustrations and preferences of the customer arent even an afterthought. No matter how rubbish we can make it, or how many times we get it wrong, its take it or leave it.
  5. We were here in 2016 when the product was weakened and lots of 2.00 pointers were forced up when they werent ready for it. Thats when Jack Smith first joined us. Having endured two seasons of very few fixtures and now further dilution of the product in prospect again next year I think I may opt out, or at least buy a season ticket to support the club but with no intention of attending, and hope things get better in 2026.
  6. Not his best season but he'd keep on trying to move forward and improve as a rider. When asked about coming back, replied do the fans want me back.
  7. A very down to earth interview from Leon at the end although unfairly asked if he'd like to come back next year. Most of the riders know they won't be returning and its unfortunate to put any rider in that position in front of a microphone IMO. Still all quiet on next year, can it really be 38 points again!
  8. Ironic that the lowest averaged team in the league with an outside chance of a play off spot, go to a higher averaged team needing a win or aggregate point to avoid last place in the league, that will largely be decided by guests. Met office currently has fog for the micro climate tomorrow.
  9. They want to protect the Premiership and its tv deal, everything else is a means to an end. Championship team owners really need to stand up this year, but they won't!
  10. Moving up would be the nuclear option! Roughly this time last year the 38 point limit was being widely banded about and I don't think many believed it until some of the higher averaged riders started saying they werent doing the Championship next season. This year its been very quiet, so far anyway. Another year of 38 points bullsh1t will kill our league.
  11. The meeting warmed up nicely in the second half however looking down the racecard beforehand its nigh on impossible to see where we can get heat advantages with Ivacic, Spencer and Smith. Even a couple more points from Ivacic would make the difference. I'm not sure if he's not got it or not interested but gives in far too easily. Flint hit his high water mark for the Tigers but its not enough to keep him onboard for 2025 unless the points limit remains ridiculously low.
  12. Bit of a pasting with 12 no scoring rides from last places, falls etc. With the rain thats fallen, and whats predicted to fall, Friday will be a lottery if its actually on.
  13. Showed he's not and despite his advancing years, maturity hasn't cured the petulant character that has always bubbled under the surface. Never someone I liked because of it.
  14. You've reminded me to ask if Godfrey ever got a fine for publicly criticising the ref. I suspect the answer is no and if the case Cami can likewise expect no comeback, can't he?
  15. If nothing's worked isn't that down to the manager?
  16. We threw away too many points and were woeful at reserve. The ref was poor. We needed everything to go right tonight to have a chance of winning. With our normal 1 - 7 we wouldn't have done any better, Ivacic would've been lucky to make it back out of the second bend. Cami looked a man under pressure, perhaps he suspects what we are all beginning to think.
  17. Don't you mean the sport will be finished at Championship level? The powers that be genuinely don't care about anything other than the Premiership and preserving its TV deal. We can't complain ourselves out of this, we need club owners in our league to collectively stand up to change it, so that won't be happening!
  18. That was a very poor watch before the rain and now presents a problem to re-stage relatively soon.
  19. How many heatleaders departed the league over the rumoured 38 point limit this time last year, and found other avenues rather than be left out? Did they jump or were they pushed?
  20. You couldn't! If you had an employee who year after year made the same mistakes and never learned from them, eventually you would sack them. You get what I'm saying, when is the point where enough is enough?
  21. Those 10 blank Friday's we never ran on could have come in handy. Never mind, looking more like October playoffs all the time
  22. He was brought in to help us at one particular track we toil on. Perhaps another flawed decision that he would thrive on a racers track. Unfortunately his season is kaput.
  23. The decision makers certainly were but like I mentioned previously the wrong rider in the wrong season. In 2023 we could have carried him along and let him find his feet at his own pace with Bomber and Basso doing the heavy lifting. That may have set him up better to ride for us in 2024. Glasgow now have a dilemma, do they keep him having given him a season to bed in and bank on him improving next season or thank him for his efforts. The points limit will be a crucial factor however Claus is currently 0.3 below Leon in the newest averages.
