  1. I've seen somewhere that Gapinski and Gomolski are signed up for Valsarna, can anyone confirm this?
  2. For anyone who may be interested in seeing them, taken from HERE: I think the grading system for the Danish Speedway League works really well, and hence, more of the Grand Prix riders make apperances here than they do in say Britain for example. I am growing to like the Danish league, and I will certainy be keeping an eye out for results in the coming season
  3. 1st U21 FINAL date ALTERED Confirmed that the Coventry leg is moved back on week to July 23rd.
  4. I thought Buster Chapman said that at the time of taking Lynn into the Premier League in 2003 that NEVER again whilst he owned Kings Lynn Speedway would the Stars race in the Elite League? Personally, I think the Stars are a force in the Premier League and shouldn't now risk ruining the steady ship they've got going at the Norfolk Arena by plunging deep into the mire of a league which clearly has no direction and doesn't know what it is doing.
  5. Just wondering, as I cannot find any info, whether anyone knows the ins and outs of 2011 team line-ups for speedway in Denmark and/or Czech Republic? and who has signed for who please? Thanks in advance
  6. Just out of interest, when are Swedish fixtures out?
  7. Not sure if these have been posted or discussed already, but I'll put them anyway: Crump to Rzeszow? Zagar signs for Gorzow Watt to Grudziadz
  8. Thanks Ghostwalker, it is once again greatly appreciated that info
  9. well, be sure to pass my thanks onto Rob too please just one other thing I am unsure of about the old concept..... did riders keep their starting averages from the first league meeting to the last (in terms of defining a team's riding order)? Many thanks in advance
  10. awesome, thankyou very much for that Ghostwalker. Helps me out tremendously, so many thanks and it is greatly appreciated that info
  11. This is off topic slightly, but I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how the old Swedish rolling averages system used to work, and how the rider's "running averages" were calculated please? Any help/explainations would be most welcome, thank you in advance.
  12. Don't know if this already has been posted, but Ryan Sullivan has been named captain of the Torun team for 2011.
  13. what is Ludvig's average under the new 'heat average' system? It would be mad for no team in the EL to have him as a rider... I know Swedish speedway is a different kettle of fish but what I saw of Ludvig at Ipswich this season, he is a tidy little rider who can do a solid job for any team.
  14. Hans down to 6.38 from 6.50, PK fell to 4.68 from 5.36
  15. Glad to see Ipswich have arranged a meeting like this for end of season, I'll hope to come along on the 14th and watch the action
  16. 16 good races, and then it kinda of went flat and dull, Gollob's final ride the only piece of magic between Heat 17 and 23. 16 great heats of speedway with a superb track for racing and passing, then it is ruined. Take nothing away from Holder though, he was flying tonight and a well deserved win for the young man. Crump showed the true pro he is too, being the first to congratulate his fellow native after the race on his victory, that's why in my view, Crump will always be a better world Champion, in stark contrast to one Mr Pedersen.
  17. Unless the rules are different these days, I've always been of the understanding that in light of possible rider injuries (in this case Emil), then the first reserve (who is Pepe) shall replace him for the next grand prix.
  18. Not sure what to think tbh. IMO, only Freddie merits a permanent w/c out of the quintet chosen though I can see why Hans has been given one. A bad year in 2009 so being given a chance to put things right, fair enough. Undecided about the British selection(s), I suppose Harris is merely justifiable, given that he is the current British Champion but in my view, he is far too inconsistent to ever become a top-line grand prix rider. As for Tai, I think this comes one year too early for him. Of course, he'll get my support but I must admit that I am 'concerned' about the potential impact on him that it could have. With what is happening off the track in terms of his father's illness, the grand prixs are just going to be providing big(ger) distractions for him when he doesn't need it. I'd rather have seen him come in for 2011 but never mind, the decision is made now and we have to accept it, whether we like the 'choices' or not.....
  19. I feel sorry for all the fans that are stuck with boredom on the terraces with such long gaps. Especially those who may have travelled long distances to the meeting, it's going to be well into tomorrow before they get home.....
  20. agreed. Mind you, sure Millard would rabbit on about AJ being a 'veteran' at 27/28 against the others in that group. Gawd help us
  21. What a ride from that man, Tomasz Gollob, the 8 times Polish Champion. Gate 2 in blue, Emil Sayfutdinov........ the 19 year old russian.
  22. or that Holta is a norwegian born Pole, riding on a Polish license? That's breaking news to all of us.....
  23. Wembley for me, purely because it's less distance to go
