  1. Having never ridden I obviously have no first hand experience, but the rider on the inside didn't turn in late, he rode his line and was ahead going into the corner, there was room outside. In both cases, the outside ride was trying to clamp down on the inside rider when behind causing contact. The outside rider didn't have to turn right, just go a little wider. Obviously, my view is purely from a spectator's point of view.
  2. For me the refs in both incidents got it right, Rider on the inside ahead going into the corner, don't deviate from their lines, rider on the outside behind, and tries to drop it on the inside rider. Worrall went wide because Edwards clipped his bike.
  3. Ref got it right. I was standing on the 2nd bend, Worrall was ahead going into the corner, Edwards tried to drop it on him, but he was half a bike behind.
  4. Due to riders changing teams every year, it could be said for many teams. Redcar has 9 present and former riders in the line up
  5. Even reported on BBC News this morning, Belle Vue winning the title after 29 years.
  6. I thought that was the best racing I've seen at Sheffield. Both teams contributed to a great match over the 2 legs. As for the refs decisions, I thought Brennan was already on his way down, and his foot hit Ellis's dirt deflector as he put his foot down again. As for ht 11, I think it was a fair decision. Although Kurtz could have gone a little wider, but then he would have been passed so he took a calculated gamble and stayed tight. All in all, 2 good meetings. Well done Belle Vue.
  7. The meeting shouldn't be called null and void, the result should stand as in a league match called after ht.10. The losing team don't say '''We could have won this match'' then declare it null and void. The result stands. If as the rules say draw a ballot, then so be it, not the best solution, but that's in the rules. Or a fairer way would be to have a race off before practice at Cardiff, winner gets the wild card, the loser a reserve spot.
  8. Just goes to show, give the riders a good race track and they will do the rest. Good meeting, great racing.
  9. I thought Connor did well last night, once he got dialled in, 1+1 first 2 rides, 8 from his last 3.
  10. Great match, good racing, close racing, lots of passing. Well done to the Bears, everyone contributed. Great to see Jordon Jenkins getting stuck in. Was expecting It to be a closer match but Leicester had little back up to the heat leaders. I couldn't make the match due to a late finish at work, but watched the live stream which was excellent.
  11. Just been to the practice, Kyle was there working on his gating with Ty Proctor, (I think it was Ty), I've been to several practices and Kyle has been there getting laps in, working hard. If points were awarded for effort Kyle would have a bag full. I'm sure Kyle will come good.
  12. I hope Kyle does well, but I don't think he will strengthen the team. If they were going to drop Adam, they should have done it before the new averages kicked in. Could have fit Paul Stark in.
  13. I think the problem stems from the last day of last season, (which was going to be the final match at Newcastle) After all the fans turned up and did the final track walk, Rob let his heart rule his head and promised to bring the Diamonds back for this season. I hope things can be turned around for Newcastle, but it will be an up hill struggle. Redcar were almost in similar situations (wooden spoon 2 years running). So things can be turned around with good support. I hope Rob can turn things around.
  14. All in all, a poor meeting with very little racing. I think the final was a case of giving the ref an option of putting all 4 back in the a rerun. No one really did anything wrong, Ellis was just left with no where to go. I hope other tracks can produce better racing.
  15. Then that's poor refereeing on two counts, ejecting him from the meeting for something that was relatively minor, and secondly for being talked into changing his mind.
  16. A good match last, some great racing. Lions getting a point was the right result I think. Nick Morris is a true racer, as for his 'chat' with the ref, I see no problem with it, a stern word from the ref should have sufficed as a slap on the wrist. How many remember Geoff Pusey's visits to the refs box, climbing over the fence, stomping through the crowd, certainly got the crowd going. We need riders like Morris, racers who entertain. Both sides raced hard last night to make a great meeting.
  17. Does anyone know the extent of BDW's injury?
  18. I thought the streaming was good over all. Commentating live isn't easy, I thought they did ok, but as has been mentioned a little more homework wouldn't go a miss. They will soon sort out the gremlins. Unfortunately the track was very one line, although it produced a few good races. I'm not sure what Berwick can take from this, Brummies are very weak, and against a stronger side, I think Berwick would have struggled. I wouldn't be surprised if The Brummies don't see the season out. All in all I enjoyed the coverage and am looking forward to the rest of the season.
  19. Are averages still counted over 2 seasons? Might account for the increase if so.
  20. I think 5+ for Kingsley at this stage in his career might be a bit too much to ask, but Sarj and Jenk are capable of doing that, and if the top 4 can all hit form together it could be close.
  21. Can't see a Redcar win, too many weak links, Poole are stronger throughout.
  22. Plus there are 3 other riders all trying to avoid the bump!!
