  1. Charles Wright Danny King Erik Riss Jason Edwards/Jordon Jenkins Danyon Hume Jake Mulford Freddie Hodder
  2. It's going to give the Semi Final of the KOC a little extra 'spice' on the 4th and 6th. On the incident, I think the ref got it right, Nichols locked up in front of Wright, leaving him nowhere to go.
  3. I think the reason they used Ace for Vissing is because if they had a facility for him then he would be deemed to be withholding his services and get a 28 day ban, so they used Ace to avoid that.
  4. 'If it was due to not having machinery' then he would have still had to have 3 rides (possibly 3 rider races) but if declared unfit to ride, then Sam Hagon could take his rides. But as you say he was fit to take his place in the rerun, then was suddenly unfit!!
  5. Nichols rolled in 5 of his 6 rides, if the ref had called them properly and didn't let him get away with it, then there would have been no need for a super heat because The Bears would have won.
  6. He's hoping to have a spin after the Glasgow meeting.
  7. I'm not sure he's at 2nd string level, certainly not as good as the 2 we've got, he's more of a 3rd reserve. But I agree riders of heat leader standard are very thin on the ground.
  8. I am a little surprised with Dans' signing, I can't see how he strengthens the team, it might even weaken us a bit. At the moment we are running with 2 heatleaders, 2 inconsistent second strings, and 3 reserves. Unless there's another change on the way, maybe when the new averages come into force.
  9. I'm wondering if there's another change in the pipeline, and just waiting for the new averages and the extra .50 to be added.
  10. Maybe that will leave room for another change?
  11. To be fair, bearly a second string. What average will he come in on?
  12. It's on Facebook Jonas is out, new rider announced at 3 o'clock.
  13. If that's the case, what riders are available to replace the dropped riders that would improve the riders we have? I don't think Erik is available or I assume he would have been signed already.
  14. I don't disagree with anything been said previously about the track and team. However although slick, the outside was working, most of the Berwick riders rode the outside, Charles rode the outside, the rest of the team seemed to stick doggedly to the inside or mid track. Although not deserving of a win, Ben Barker fencing Charles stopped what could have been a 5-1 or at least a 4-2. Although the team was generally poor, Jonas, apart from one or two meetings, just isn't contributing. Just another couple of points from him would have made a big difference.
  15. Does anyone know if Charles is, or will be fit for the start of the season?
  16. The Ref said at the start of the meeting he would allow all 4 back whenever possible. As he did with Richard Lawson after he lifted coming out of the 2nd bend, which took him into Lewis Kerr and fell halfway down the back straight.
  17. A good all round performance with everybody chipping in. Especially pleased for young Luke Harrison, it seems the time Danny spent with him after last weeks meeting has paid dividends. Once again some great racing on a very well prepared track.
  18. We didn't lose (although it felt like it) we drew and Poole got the extra point. It was a great meeting, with both sides battling hard. But to battle hard, they had to have a good track to ride, Well done to Johnny and his team for producing an outstanding track despite the weather conditions.
  19. Each system has its merits, but the old system each team gets 1-3, 2-4 equally, (unless in the case of going 6 behind) the team manager can choose which gate his riders go off. Ht 15 would be as it is now.
  20. Perhaps they should go back to the old system where gates did alternate, and if a team was 6 points behind they got gate choice.
  21. He rode well at Redcar, outscored Complin, and Vissing. He's definitely a star of the future and worth sticking with. One other point, for a rider of his experience, Chris Harris seems to have a lot of retirements/ef's
  22. Interesting comment from Jason Edwards about ht 11 in his interview before the Glasgow match. He said ''I left the door slightly open and Steve Worrall went through it''
  23. Any win by The Bears would be welcome. But I think when we ride against the stronger teams, then it exposes our weaknesses. At least Glasgow doesn't have 4 former Bears in their team.
