not sure there's any need for an apology given the circumstances but thanks for making the effort anyway! i took Monday and Tuesday off i blame his mechanic ------------------------------------------------------------ anyway, had an excellent evening in the company of Seb the Snail (all night) and Grachan (most of the night). was also good to see again / meet for the first time SCB, Silver Bee, Jotrez, a very shy (and startled!) najjer, Iffoid and the PoS chaps and chapesses who actually made it, namely Foldsey, Leigh and Ruckeroo. sadly, i have to agree with those who said the racing was somewhat poor. i've never been a great fan of the Swindon track but, having watched the EL play off Final last Monday, i hoped it might have changed for the better. hats off to young Mr Wright - a thoroughly deserved win. at least p1shy Nermark didn't win, even if i did 'land' him in the sweep Kaj with a j was a tad unlucky to only score 7. kinda sums up our year apart from that, i have to say the Blunsdon chicken burger was bl00dy awful... sack the chef! and the event as a whole? i can only repeat what i've said before... super7even - same sh1te, different banner -

name dropper see you and the gang there Sir -
an excellent day from start to finish. headed off at 10.30am with my dad and two mates. weather was way too hot for travelling after having tea in Sheff, we headed back to the stadium and saw Steady. as always, he seemed pleased to see my programme board and it was good to see him taking so much time with everyone, chatting and signing stuff. on the social side of things, it was suave to see Ruby Tuesday and her mum, plus Krissie and Andrew again. not quite sure how i managed to meet folk in the middle of such a large crowd though! racing wise, i thoroughly enjoyed it. a lot of people already know i think Owlerton is the best race track in the country and last night just proved that. one of my mates was on his first visit there and he couldn't believe his eyes the Final was out of this world and, as has been said before, had to be seen to be believed. as tyre and fuel sponsor for Lee Complin, i was naturally delighted. dad wanted Fredrik Lindgren to win but wasn't overly disappointed cos he likes Lee as well. the night ended with a quick chat with Neil Machin (very nice man!) before heading back North, finally jumping into bed at 4am. an unforgettable day out and hats off to the organisers, etc for the whole occasion. Go On Steady! your Legend will never die

serious attitude fault from my former sailing partner last night. if he really had a problem with Hans N A's riding, why did he speak to the ref instead of his track rival? -

Line-up as per Official Press Release: 1. Christian Henry 2. George Stancl 3. Kevin Doolan 4. Daniel Nermark 5. Tai Woffinden 6. Stan Burza 7. Kalle Katajisto 8. Shane Parker 9. Craig Watson 10. Kaj Laukkanen 11. Matthew Wethers 12. James Grieves 13. Derek Sneddon 14. Carl Stonehewer 15. Lee Complin 16. Cameron Woodward Reserves: Daniele Tessari and Andrew Tully this week's visitors to sunny Armadale are... oh rubbish, wrong thread... er, take two... it's Scottish Open time this week at sunny Armadale as riders from all over the globe battle for the Jack Young Memorial Trophy. title holder Stanislaw the Manislaw Burza (we'll forget about the sh1te guest tag for this once only ) has absolutely Norfolk 'n' Chance of winning again, so at least we know we'll have someone else standing on top of the rostrum come 10pm... it's probably the most, er, open Open ( ) in recent history with numerous guys able to stake a reasonable claim as to why they should be pre meeting favourites. the evening will also be notable as it will see a return to track action for Daniele Tessari. our very own ice cream Legend has been missing since his knee met a post during our home meeting vs Pisle of Shight and will take his place at reserve in this one. i can't wait for a tape / 2min exclusion now... this week's big welcome goes to: who can i pick? well, 'hats off' mentions go to Christian Henry, Kevin Doolan, Tai Woffinden, Shane the suave guest, Wato the even better guest and Lee the world's best guest but i'm gonna give this one to returning Monarch Cameron Woodward. welcome back young man. this week's 'popular yer baws!' award goes to: er, no-one really stands out to be honest, so it'll just have to be won by Daniella infuriating Nermark. the Beirut fans know why... the Florenshafisztof Kaspitzanwinkelhoppen award for suave name of the week goes to: Kaj Laukkanen. only because this is usually reserved for a visiting rider, so it's about the only chance i have to let him win the Award! roll on friday... KJ's prediction: 1st J Grieves 2nd K Doolan 3rd D Nermark 4th C Stonehewer
