  1. serious attitude fault from my former sailing partner last night. if he really had a problem with Hans N A's riding, why did he speak to the ref instead of his track rival?
  2. i'll be there going with Pammie's mob... must keep her away from the German wine wonder if they have any swing parks in Deutschland
  3. ...and away meeting at Stoke on Saturday. probably true but Good Luck to him anyway
  4. i actually thought it was Julia Bradbury 'til i saw her face
  5. i was sat in the top tier on the apex of the 3rd / 4th bend and could quite clearly see the huge screen directly across from me on the 1st / 2nd bend
  6. if he promises to put the N back in the middle of his name, i might consider placing a bid
  7. didn't he smash one of the lights which were hovering over the track at Powderhall? extremely vague childhood memory
  8. oh joy. i'm sure "worra won-a-fell weld" will sound amazing think i'll stay in the pub
  9. thanks to Anders for the translations very best wishes to Kenny.
  10. i agree with both of you Middlo owes him nowt. he made the correct decision for the country. agreed. choice of those two, it's Kennett all the way. give Stead nothing while i'd defo like to see Rory at Cardiff, the powers that be would never go for it...
  11. will have to watch where i sit - wouldn't want my hair blown out of place
  12. myself and my mate were on that plane. it really wasn't that bad you know! we were landing just as the fireworks were taking place at the stadium. from there, we got a mad taxi driver to speed us through the streets to our Hotel, checked in, dumped the bags, collected the GP tickets from Reception (cheers Stevie ) and jumped back in said taxi to the stadium - cost = under a tenner arrived at the interval just after ht8 (had heard the previous few races on radio commentary, with results interpreted by the driver!) and found our friends after ht12 as for the meeting, the racing was suave-and-a-half and the atmosphere was something completely different to say the least! the rest of the trip comprised good company, tasty drink and warm weather (all hail sunblock ). was good to see Rico, Chivsy Travel, etc, etc again, as well as meeting HenryW and The Doctor for the first time (although i didn't realise who the latter actually was 'til i got back home!) me thinks i'll more than likely go back next year
  13. you can add King Jamie +1 (maybe 2?) to your list really looking forward to it as well, although must remember to avoid Polish pizza and alcohol
  14. unprofessional Scott 'red light' Nicholls = tube / failure / child Hans N (don't forget the N ) Andersen = world class rider commentary team = biased biggest lack of info moment = Mr Pearson telling us Lee Richardson was in as a T/S Joker thingy but blatantly omitting the fact his love child had been shunted from the very same race er, roll on saturday...
  15. oi - i said "met for the first time" ya Welsh tube
  16. i'm a wee bit behind in this but here goes anyway... had a suave time, with great company - Pammie (and loads of our non-forum pals), the Fairies, Chivs and family, Jay, etc, etc. 0830 flight from Edinburgh on the friday morning (yawn!), into Cardiff after a quick taxi ride and then off out for eats. an enjoyable / relaxing day followed but, er, we won't mention night time Hotel - The Lodge by Macdonald. nice and close to the City Centre but, most bizarrely, we had a double bed in our room! it's the first time i've ever slept with a bloke (also, hugely extortionate drink prices - tut tut!) saturday - got up for brekkie and found i couldn't face food! eventually settled for a mug (or 2!) of hot water. in the afternoon, we headed to the PoW. watched the football (Peter Crouch - legend!) before taking a brief (too brief!) trip outside while i waited on my food order coming back. good to see some familiar faces again, as well as some new ones. then it was off to the stadium... seat - almost same as last year. top tier, section U18, 3rd/4th bend = suave view. Bonnie Tyler - very lazy vocalist. probably music's answer to Michael Coles. ie was capable in her day but should surely now know it's time to stop... the rap - pretty awful. did they really sing "speedway player"? and why are the riders playing football in the video?! the racing - i enjoyed it (maybe cos i was sober?!). i'd probably put it 3rd out of the 6 held at Cardiff so far. tube features - the joint worst performance by a Wild Card this season. nuff said. Lee Richardson - p1sh. unprofessional Scott 'red light' Nicholls - fell yet again in a semi final - will he ever get it right? thought the ref was altogether dodgy, the only one he got right was excluding Hancock in the Final. well done to Jason Crump on his win, and hats off also to Jaroslaw Hampel who won my mate some dosh on his each way bet! sunday - as most folk were leaving, i spotted Joanne and Kev H, so i popped out for a quick hello... "oh, it's Jamie... King Jamie" said Joanne then, before i knew it, a blonde wifey chipped in with "Jamie Luckhurst fan" and i was standing there thinking "who the hell's that?!" it wasn't long 'til i found out though - twas none other than the infamous Shazzybird (i presumed the mature chap in attendance was Uncle Ted but i wasn't brave enough to ask!) all too soon, we were back at the Airport awating our (delayed) flight home. as i said, i had a suave time and, as well as Shazzy, i also met for the first time: Jay (er, love the signature!!), Fat Tractor Man, Queen Bee, leavesomeforus, Gangsta Fairy, TNT133, Laura Fisher (i think!), Kat, Silver Cheetah (wasn't brave enough to speak to him though!), and i'm sure there were at least one or two others but i'm that old i've forgotten already as they say, roll on next year...
  17. poor Hans he should never have dropped the N from his name
  18. shoot everyone ...then we wont have anything to moan about
