Morris is not on an attractive average? A rider on nearly 2 points lower than when he left us. Unfortunately, riders have to be sacrificed next season through no fault of their own but Morris should be a rider that we want in the team. You could, and I haven’t even looked at averages, sacrifice Tobi and Razza for Morris and Bellego assuming JD still wants to ride in the league.

The problem is the plans have had to be altered, yet again, because we've had to submit revised proposals to the council to increase the size of our trophy cabinet.

I accept your point re the referees, however, both the instances I referred to were on tv. In reality, Vissing and Wright were both excluded for crashes they were involved in but didn’t intentionally cause. A referee would be hard pushed to exclude a rider when he has the potential to make a more rational decision. It’s about fairness to riders and supporters alike. -

You’ll regret giving him a little sighter before the semi final... -

If there is no actual rule to confirm that the referee is entitled to make a case for first bend bunching, given this is the 21st century, why not actually introduce one to cover the eventuality and whilst they are at it, introduce one that gives the referee the opportunity to use a bit of common and put all 4 back when e.g. last night with Batchelor, Tungate and Vissing were involved in a 'racing incident'. There was also the incident in the British Final with Charlie Wright that resulted in his exclusion when he didn't actually materially do anything wrong. It's not like it happens in every race, or every meeting, but allows some discretion if the referee feels no one is responsible. I mean, is that too sensible even for the powers that be? -

Good ol’ Rosco. Job done and a comfortable 3 points in the bag. Pressure firmly back on Poole. They need to pick up something from their trip to Norfolk and hope the Four Point Arena doesn’t live up to its name. With Slow and Slower at reserve I expect Matt is already fretting and has got his abacus out to calculate the Lynn and Witches reserves pay already. Could be expensive, and I’m not talking wages. -
Fancy that, another team trousering the full 4 points at the Arena. Did anyone mention that you shouldn’t use a TS at home? Surely the idea is to get stronger as the season goes on, not weaker...those reserves are truly awful. Looking at the team I would have thought that Beaker and Big Bird would have been a better shout. Now who’s laughing.

The ol’ man is a Toffee. Bought him a ticket for Everton v Leicester on New Year’s Day last season. His first visit to Goodison in over 20 years. 1-0 Foxes. Home team kept passing to the front row of the Goodison Road stand. Now, that was an occasion where I’d have gladly stuck cocktail sticks down my fingernails.

Yes, he popped in a little 5-1 in heat 14 to help seal a come from behind victory for the Robins 47-46 http://www.swindon-speedway.com/_mobile/news.php?extend.1192 Twas the night before I flew to Toruń to see Tommy G slap in a 7 ride max. -

Did you really say that Sarjeant could beat Wells? That is some leap of faith. He’s got to get past the tapes first. -
Apart from 2017 PO semi final when they shot the final of One Man and His Dog at Wimborne Road.

What an uninspiring signing for Poole. The Poole ‘Penny Pinching’ Pirates (lovely alliteration that) are scraping the barrel with this signing and have clearly lowered their budget, expectations and Jolly Roger, and instead, have hoisted the White Flag. Cue Dido...(unfortunately they can’t afford her either). How times have changed down at the Four Point Arena.

Well that is some unexpectedly bad news, just in time for Home and Away v Poole. Douglas the Lurpak trumpeter? Desmond Douglas the table tennis player? Carl Douglas the singer of Everybody was Kung Fu fighting? Douglas is not Bart Zmarzlik.

Yes, we also had a huge stroke of luck when we got Alpen on a 4.5 average, swapped Doyle for Magic and picked up Kildemand in the reserve berth. Could it also be the manager knows what he is doing? -

Is it possible that Poole struggled because they were unable to bounce in to the corners tonight? Just reading the Star, and I have to say that I am loving Richie Worrall’s sense of humour. Apparently, and I think he said this with a straight face, Klindt and Scrabble are the best 3 and 4 in the league. Is it possible he meant they are the best at getting 3s and 4s? Keep it up Rich. -

An excellent performance from the Robins, with the Top 5 all filling their boots. Personally, I wouldn’t go with a strong Top 5... It was also good to see that the Robins mid-season trip to Eastbourne has reinvigorated Vissing. He came off the ropes swinging and there was definitely more fight about his performance tonight. The Robins look like they are the sole contenders in the heavyweight division, whilst the Pirates , on tonight’s evidence, look like they belong in the bantamweight division. -

Yes, funnily enough foreverblue had suggested on the Ipswich v Swindon thread that ‘top teams win by more than 2 points’. What do you think he meant by this comment, DC?
