Belle Vue Aces Vs Poole Pirate 31/07
theblueboy replied to SCB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I hope people aren't going to revel in another pitiful Poole performance... Given the current abject performances put in by this Poole team, I would say that KK has a chance of making the play offs. Wouldn't that be karma for Fraud & Co. -
This is desperately bad timing. He is clearly developing at The Abbey and the improvement over the last 6 weeks has been phenomenal. He has been an integral part of the Robins upturn with his contributions both home and away. Crucial loss and I hope whoever the replacement is can just ride to their average.

Swindon V Poole Thurs 27/07/

Has anyone seen my friend Starman? He was really excited yesterday. It was his first day at BSF school, which is a state funded school, and he made lots of new friends, particularly in the Swindon area. He was telling all his new friends, here on the BSF, that in English, he now understands the meaning of the word 'H A M M E R I N G' In maths, he has learnt that 56 - 34 isn't just a lot but actually 22. And in geography, he learnt that the good people of Swindon love nothing more than to relax by fishing. Naturally, Swindon people are clever, and look to undertake sustainable fishing, particularly off the coast of Dorset. There has been lots of fishing down in Dorset this season and has currently led to stocks being depleted as everyone is filling their boots. You just can't put a price on learning so much in one day. Who said the education system can't be fun... -

Should people in glass houses throw stones... How is your Italian these days? -

I think you'll find I told you what a waste of £17 it would be with the Poole riders 'pootling' around at the back, that you'd get hammered and that you are cannon fodder! Now you have the cheek to moan about it. 😛 -

http://www.macmillandictionary.com/dictionary/british/hammering Starry, I refer you to point 2. It's a good job that some of us went to school because if the government were to rely on the tax and NIC from your job as a paper boy they would struggle to fill in that pot hole on bend one at The Blue Groove Arena.... Cocksure, nah. Just enjoying the ascendancy for once. As a Swindon fan, and I cannot speak for my contemporaries, I have no delusions of grandeur. I have seen much better teams than this one fail miserably. I have been genuinely surprised at how the Robins have done, particularly as Doyle has missed most of the period where we have sprung in to life. Morris and Bellego have kept the team afloat and Adam's miserable start to the season has ensured we now have someone finally winning heat 2 and backing up the second heat leader in those heats. I hope that its a good meeting and as always, it will be good to see the Robins captain of 2012 at The Abbey. Still think it will be easy tonight, but that's my opinion. Edit: I will be there, of course, not going to miss the opportunity to have another laugh... -

Just been to see the Stereophonics and caught up with the result at Wimborne Road. Ooooppppps. Good to see the Blue Groove Arena, over the last month, finally deliver some excellent speedway...well, for the vast majority of the league! 🍻 Also, I must congratulate both Matt and Neil from turning the Pirates from title contenders in to cannon fodder this season. That takes some doing, but you have to hand it to them. They have done a first class job there. Anyway, on to tomorrow. For the first time this season I am seriously considering giving it a miss. Nobody likes to see a team take a hammering and to see the sight of the Pirates team pootling around at the back racing each other for a point isn't screaming £17 tbh... 52-40 to Doyle and chums. -

Where is everyone? Late one at the bingo? -
My brother just text me to say that Drill Bit is in for a World Cup winner....I thought he was winding me up. 😀😀😀😀 On the other side, it now means that only Wolves, Swindon or Belle Vue can win the league now, so it's not been a total waste of time!

On the basis of what was witnessed and reported last night I would say he is a good fit for this Pirates line up... -

As KK is leaving shortly, was there a collection amongst the faithful to recognise his sterling service? -

Was it four points you say? Looking at the score line, was it a National League Select v Swindon tonight? -

My mistake, its Four Point Road... This team of 'dross' just keep surprising everyone with Muesli 'Alpen' himself to another decent score. Can anyone confirm if there is another 15 heats to see if those Pirates can get close? -

Absolutely the correct decision to disqualify Nilsson. PP - possible broken ankle according to BT. -

Were they not using RR for Bates? There's a couple of people I would like to thank for tonight's entertainment. Firstly, Jim Lynch on gifting the Robins 3 valuable points. Riss gets you out of all sorts of trouble in heat 14 only for you to call 2 and 4 in 15. Stevie Wonder could have done a better job tbh. Secondly, well done to Muesli. Looks a steal on 4.53 and gives us a much more solid look to the team. If he can work out Blunsdon quickly we might have a team that could cause some damage in the play offs, should we get there. Finally, to Bet365 for the gift of +2 Musielak v Przedepelski. Much appreciated fellas. -

Similar to a batsman struggling for form when you suddenly realise that your favourite bowling line up is just round the corner and those boots will well and truly be filled... Everyone loves Three Point Road.... -

There have been so many 'track specialists' this season AO due to the Pirates being in such benevolent form, it might be easier if you can narrow it down for everyone... -
Serious? Me? I think you are confusing me someone else my purple chinod friend... Anyway, seeing as you were on +13, treat yourself to a new pair. Try a new colour this time. Make sure you wear them Wednesday so we can see you...😉

Who was the forum member that said they were 'dross' earlier this week? 🤔

Excellent news that Troy has recovered following yesterday's meeting. Maybe sucking his thumb all night has helped him recover from that nasty experience last night?

Poor from JD tbh. With Poole rolling over last night and probably on the end of another spanking tonight an opportunity to close in on 4th spot. If the injury affected him so much why have 5 rides last night? Guess it's Harris, which given our alternatives is reasonable enough. -

Nope, instead he threatens to take his team to the Conference League, bends the rules to suit himself, takes assets of other clubs without consulting them or fails to get the team showers fixed in time. That's how Matt deals with adversity... -
Poor team. More bumps on the track than a blind man's book. Has Fraud finally had enough? I can sense those purple chino's are itching to stray.....where will you go Gater?
