  1. You have most people wetting themselves regularly on this forum. Have you considered stand up comedy Steve? Stop me if you’ve heard this one. There were 2 Australians, 2 Danes, 2 Poles and an Englishman...
  2. Nobody can miss your purple chinos. Was that you stood next to Lord Lucan and Shergar at the burger van?
  3. So, if it was a small crowd it would appear that the Swindon fan made a sizeable contribution to the attendance...
  4. I thought it added to the evening, a team in multi-coloured outfits, falling over themselves and everybody laughing... If you haven’t see this team they will be touring the country soon and I promise if you had as much enjoyment as I have £17 is a cheap night’s entertainment...
  5. Great to see a large crowd for the return of PK to The Abbey and The Boy didn’t let the Swindon fans down. Race of the night was heat 9 between Batchelor and Bellego as it was clear, Kurtz apart, that this was the only way the Swindon riders would get some meaningful practice as Poole weren’t capable of competing. The league table doesn’t lie. The White Knight continues to show promise as he gave Sundstrom a 20m head start and a 20m beating. Poole are in disarray and there must be more changes in the offing. It’s sad to see one of the biggest names in speedway struggling to compete. Will Matt do the same as a few years back when the team propped up the league and threaten to take the team to the Conference?
  6. Batchelor has done his time. He made his bed and for punishment was sent to Kings Lynn. We all know how that ended. If he was a bad apple, as you are seeming to suggest, why has Rosco re-engaged him for a third time? If Batch was that disruptive or so self centred he wouldn’t be part of this or any Swindon team under Rosco.
  7. If Poole keep chucking in these type of performances on a regular basis it won’t take long for you to have toured the whole of Italy. After last season, there can’t be many places left?
  8. Great planning by the Robins promotion to start the league campaign against one of the lesser teams in this season’s competition. The Four Point Arena is very aptly named and clearly many of the riders from last season’s Championship squad have enjoyed familiar territory. I was hoping that Matt had put together a decent side over the winter but clearly he hasn’t, and frankly its getting a bit boring now keep spanking Poole in their back yard. Good job the Swindon asset was trying, otherwise, it could have been even more embarrassing...
  9. I attended a meeting v Coventry about 5 or 6 years ago. It was the first time I’d seen 1-2-3 Sarjeant in action, he scored a load from reserve, The Bees won by a lot and the meeting was abandoned as per normal after 10. An absolute monsoon and it was disgraceful that the meeting got to heat 10. I got back to the car feeling as though I’d done 50 lengths at Milton Road baths with my clothes on. Tonight’s weather would have been the equivalent of turning up with a bbq, on Bondai Beach with a stack of tinnies. Edited: liked the use of the word and too much.
  10. I afraid you are asking the wrong person. I didn’t make any decision re the meeting. The referee is the sole arbiter as to whether a meeting starts so your question should be addressed to them.
  11. Good ol’ Mystic Hans. Hans is a family man, loves his pipe and slippers and isn’t putting his neck on the block for anyone. However, could this be the same Hans that won a Grand Prix, on a track that Tom Daley would have enjoyed. How times have changed.
  12. Incorrect. The referee, along with the riders deemed the track fit to ride on. Hagonshocker was a bystander.
  13. Given the track was heavy and he was tailed off would Kasprzak been a better name for the horse?
  14. Joined with a flourish. What does that mean? I don’t recall any flourish. Maybe you can provide something to jog mine and others memories? A little bit of research shows he joined in 2013 and resigned in December 2017. This is a closed company and directors come and go all the time. Not sure of any relevance, except he was a director, however, as you seem to know about it and more knowledgeable Swindon fans didn’t, maybe you have your own thoughts or know something... edited for p*ss poor English.
  15. Unfortunately, he was looking at the wrong rule book..
  16. Didn't a couple of teams try and 'up their game' not so long ago. How did that end up for the speedway family?
  17. Ok, you can extend the period to allow these riders to return. My point was that the ruling is clearly ambiguous when it shouldn’t be. These are supposed to be speedway people but they just don’t have the brain capacity to think things through and come up with a proper solution. It happens every year, so it’s not bad luck they are just incompetent.
  18. But you don’t know the rule either, Steve, yet are saying it’s ok? The easiest rule would have been to say anybody that has ridden in any GP within the last 2 seasons is a 9 unless they have ridden and attained an average in the UK in that period. I mean, how hard is that? No ambiguity. Everyone, supporters, promoters and riders know the score. The BSPA are continued embarrassment to the sport. A bunch of bumbling fools that are not worth the steam off anyone’s p*ss
  19. Not the best meeting to be honest but a fair enough scoreline. Cook looked good early doors but didn’t have a lot of back up. TunneRRRs stepped up on his Monday showing but I was disappointed by Fricke, Worrall and Bewley. They are much better riders than their scores showed. Drodz struggled badly and his attempted ’backie’ with Tunners at 60mph so nearly paid off. I’ll be interested in his Trip Advisor report for the burger van after his unscheduled visit during heat 7. Robins solid. Morris seemed down on power but the others all put in a good shift and no more so than that bloody nice French bloke who won heat 15 securing the evenings expenses on the match bet v Tunners. A tough start against a potentially potent Lions line up next week awaits. PS. Are you ok Geoff?
  20. Fantastic for The Aces on winning the 2nd leg and the Charity Shield without turning a wheel. Luckily, the meeting isn’t raced on this forum and a timely reminder for those Aces fans is that last season the Robins minus Doyle won by 6 points against a full strength Aces team. RR garnered a measly 6 points so I think the chat is somewhat misplaced. If RRRohan Tungate decides to get his act together then the Aces have a chance but Cook is average at Swindon and Swindon’s top 3 will sort him out. I fancy the Robins to be too strong and to win by 10.
  21. Google translation:- Our disloyal customer fan base that turned their back on us during the last two years when we were getting tubbed think we have a team capable of winning the league. Did you get to use any of the assets during the period of the Frost/Fraud axis? If you did, and I suspect there a number of riders that would fall in to that equation, then surely no loan fee would have been applicable. Conversely, if an asset was loaned to another team would the Pirates not have benefited? That's probably a little more than 'not a single penny'?
