  1. I'm not sure that this is any responsibility of the BSPA - more like the FIM but supposing they are big and tough enough to make the decision (and lets not forget Hans did this at a crucial point of their celebrations) it would cause a problem for Ipswich which i'm sure as you have mentioned would provide a good enough case for a 'peterborough' moment. If it didn't though - thems the breaks - everything we wouldn't want but everything you would expect in any other sport. Supposing he was caught for titanium or an oversized engine he would suffer a ban - simple as that - I don't see how this is any different
  2. another vote for Middlo here - tis good to see our national team on the pace - how many other sports can say that. Maybe next time he won't need to feel so nervous And as for Ronnie .....I reckon Ian Steel would be getting in there first
  3. no flying ryan watch the replay it is clear to see - I will be watching his other races on the tape with interest - especially as his favourite trick is to steam into 3 wildly
  4. What a fantastic week of racing we have witnessed. The thought of Eastbourne and Poole being the chosen tracks did not set my world on fire at first but the tracks were set up very well and produced some great passing. The majority of the world's best took part and were mixing it up and going for broke. Thursday night was perhaps one of the best meetings televised and the timing couldn't have been better 2 days before the final. Although there were some doubts over the track preparation for the final, mainly based on previous shenanigans it did not turn out to suit any particular nation ( ) and at the halfway mark we still had 3 teams who could win the cup. So going into the last heat decider who would have predicted that some could be taking the view that the 2004 WTC could be bad for speedway??!! IMO Hans Andersen should be punished - The Swedes were odds on to win before the final heat anyway judging by the form of both PK and SN - but what was a great finale was spoilt by the actions of one little boy from Denmark - the last thing this sport needs is to have what amounts to 'fixing' - I should imagine the implications are imeasurable, especially with Skybet now a part of speedway. I don't imagine that anything will happen but this could well be a good time for the authorities to lay down a watershed moment and take control.
  5. yeah and perhaps we need someone to oversee him too!
  6. Hans Andersen has certainly had a year of controversy and is doing his best to deflect attention away for Nicki. I'm still waiting for someone to take away his front wheel going into 3 the way he seems to try to every match I see him involved in. Most definitely deserves the mantle of the most dangerous 'top' rider As for tonight it is very difficult to prove but I reckon we all know what happened and I hope that the stick he receives over it doesn't stop for a very long time! oh and how predictable is it that if there is a bit of dangerous play or alleged cheating going on it is firmly in the camp of the Danes - after seeing this for the last 20 years it is getting a bit boring to say the least and it is about time something was done about it in terms of consistency the race shouldn't have been stopped and rerun - but ideally I believe that the refs should be able to restart or award in situations like this - i've never understood why a rider has to come off his bike for a decision to be made
  7. its just experience a more experienced rider may have chosen not to raise the front wheel over the line and increase the risk of lifting drive. But theres no doubt about it - the competitors want to take advantage now because he learns quickly!
  8. what an incredible meeting!! but why oh why is a team allowed to use the joker in the last heat??!! well done Poland
  9. Apparently The Daily Mirror published yesterday that Stuart Robson and Chris Neath are to be called up to the GB squad - can anyone confirm this?
  10. lots of posts going on about black kettles here but ultimately mr Gollob must have learnt his lesson at some stage and is a better man and rider for it. There is no doubt about it Nicki Pedersen does not always go for the line or the gap or the dirt - he has something else in his repertoire - going for the man quite simply this should be stamped on
  11. In my speedway lifetime: Kenny Carter Michael Lee Hans Nielsen Tony Rickardsson Thomas Gollob Mark Loram Chris Morton and second division: Joe Owen Bob Garrad Steve Lawson Rod Hunter Martin Goodwin Leigh Adams Matej Zagar
  12. I listened to his interview before the first GP where he was banging the drum and saying what a great ambassador he will be for speedway as the current world champion. yesterdays fixture: - interleague challenge Rye House vs Eastbourne guess what......no nicki pedersen
  13. well done Ed and Matej and all the other qualifiers - but most of all well done Stevie Boxall!!!! The strides this guy has made from being a rank novice at the start of last season have been incredible.
  14. I cant stand the way Sky do this - a cheap ploy to get everyone to update their packages or to move over to sky digital from ntl digital It means I have to watch it at my bro's but thats all cool
  15. Can't wait for this one! - although I haven't got bloomin sky sports extra so have got to find someone with it Adams Gollob Crump Rickardsson although I would like to see Loram Nicholls Brehl (comon Bo!) Gollob but you cant have evrything can you?
  16. yeah kind of takes the gloss off doesn't it?! although I would say JC is no different
  17. aren't they riding for GB though Robbo? sure you'll be happy for a welsh rider to go into a GB team in the future
  18. This field is so good I can see any of them qualifying - would love to see Chris, Stuart and Bo go through though
  19. British of course! with Bo Brhel a close second for being the sprightly old geezer But then again I seem to just shout anyway regardless of who is on the track - i've been infected with Kelvin Tatum's ohhhhhhhhooooooooooooooooo and can be loudly heard doing it on several bits of prague footage so in short A followed by C and unless i've missed Steve Master's inclusion in the GP's this year B is not a problem
  20. yeah good photos although like the TV coverage we are just cropped off your pics on the stand thought we had a good atmosphere going in that stand
