Yes, I feel like a pack horse with all the things I carry to speedway meetings. Looks like I'll need 2 blankets tonight (if it's on) one to lie on and one to cover her up against the elements.

Well, I'm impressed you know the difference between 'have' and 'of'' but otherwise don't believe he was on any list as available to ride. Do you have a link to this list of riders so I can check and apologise for being wrong? -

What does that mean ~ you heard it here? You'll have to try to talk sense so I can understand. -
Coventry Bees V Leicester Lions 25/03/2016
Gemini replied to Woz01's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'd rather see a meeting between two poor teams than a lop sided one and thought there was some good racing with the end result always in doubt. Like I said before I think you must be hard to please. Perhaps it's paying £3 extra that's made you grumpy because I'm sure you're not always that way. -

So it's fact that every promoter had access to Rick Frost's asset Buczkowski? Yeah right. -
Now there's a thought. Perhaps provide a nice garden seat as well then I needn't lug mine around with me.

Blimey you're hard to please if you think that was a poor meeting. -

Yes and how boring it is, unless you are a Poole fan of course, but I suppose their supporters will be happy watching visiting teams struggle to get over 30 points. Personally I prefer a bit of excitement and not a foregone conclusion. For instance tonight's match at Coventry when it was 36-36 after 12 races so the result could go either way. In the end a couple of 4-2's and a 5-1 saw the Bees come out on top after some cracking racing. -

It will be steered back when Leicester get a shock win tonight. -
Heaven knows in Shawn's world. It seems like we've had the wettest Winter on record in the Midlands and I'm sure it was pretty general all over the UK with lots of flooding.
-
If you've got time can you nip up to Belle Vue and sort their mess of a track out Glyn? You seem to have made a better job of Leicester than they have managed.
-
Yes, I suppose strictly speaking you are correct. It was pointed out to me many years ago by 'False dawn' that there are only two bends on a Speedway track and he should know as he's been round them enough times.

Coventry V Poole Es Second Leg 18/03/2016
Gemini replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I can't be bothered to check the prices at other tracks except my local one but compared to Leicester all the prices are cheaper at Coventry apart from being £2 extra for pensioners. I don't think any other track is using this pricing policy this season but who knows what will happen in the future ~ even next season. Leicester Coventry Adults £18. Adults £17. OAP's £15. OAP's £17. Ages 10 - 16 £5. All children Free. Student £7.50p Student £5. -

If someone can't afford an extra £3 then I feel sorry for them. How about planning ahead and putting that amount of money away each week during the close season? That's what I have done. Anyway, I was pleased to see all the pensioners that I know had survived the Winter and were in attendance. -

Not really surprising. Freezing cold, Poole with a 22 point lead and a lot of people probably saving their money for Bomber's testimonial a couple of days later. -

Nothing changes does it? Still on a wind up. Just in case you are interested in some more realistic thoughts, mine are another defeat for Coventry but not as much as 22 this time so I suppose we'll have to be thankful for that. I don't think there will be too many problems as the circus is over on the left and I'm sure there'll be enough room on the other side. Sunday might be a different proposition though as they'll probably be a much bigger crowd supporting Bomber's testimonial. -

I think you'd better be careful Lisa as you are definitely turning into the female version of Starman. That's his standard answer. He said that to me and there wasn't even a question for me to answer. I offered to reply if he would tell me what he'd asked but strangely enough he's never got back to me. -

Not really ANY club as we don't want Hans back thanks. Wouldn't say no to Buzz though ~ always like watching him at Peterborough. Don't be daft Lisa. It's not a management statement, just a fan, and it's not about having 'no ambition whatsoever' more like being realistic that Poole will easily win, but we're not really that bothered. That's another view from a fan ~ not management just in case you're confused. -
AT least he talks more sense than some of yours.
-
Well, that's wrong already as it's bloody freezing here today, ten days too early.

So what would the 'desired effect' be? Stay away and close down due to lack of support before the end of the season instead of at the end so Sandhu can get on with his house building? Is that what you mean? -

Gemini replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well, lucky you. Unfortunately there has been a lot of flooding in the Midlands ~ Leicester and Coventry included ~ so no surprise the practice was called off. Thoughts? More like a 28 point lead than 8.
