Coventry V Kings Lynn -monday 11th July - 7.30pm
Gemini replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Good news all round. Thanks for the reduced admission price and the chance to see what Ben Barker can do. -
Keep up Starry ~ the meeting was on May 26th. As to your other suggestion I'd strongly advise that they don't.
-
Well, he is doing okay most of the time isn't he which is what I said? I can't check his scores as the website won't load and I can't check the scraps of paper I call my programmes because they get thrown away. At least you are prepared to put some realistic names forward whereas some fans just continue to criticise but never come up with any alternatives. Not impressed with Ulamek myself. I've been expecting Walasek to go back to Leicester, but perhaps not now they've started winning matches. Bech I know nothing about.
-
So who would you suggest replaces who? Danny and Chris are riding well, as is KK most of the time. Garrity is doing okay but the way he rides is prone to crashing and being out injured. Sarjeant is outclassed when riding in the main team but that's due to the stupid rules. Bates okay at reserve, which leaves Woryna who I think was the biggest mistake in signing. Drop Woryna and who is available to replace him? Ben Barker, Ryan Fisher (Edinburgh ride on Friday's) and would we be any better off?
-
Not surprising really as Mick was quoted a month or so ago to be disillusioned with the sport. He's not the only one.
-
Hard luck. I said he was trying for 4 laps ~ I didn't say which race.

There is at Coventry when they've only got one gate open.

Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
Gemini replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I know I don't either but hit the dog enough and it will do anything. By the way the stuffed Lion is called Lennie but he's usually walking whenever I see him. Me too. Damn disgusting and I reckon the RSPCA should be notified and send a uniformed officer to take the dog off the owner. -
Now I've watched the match on Youtube I disagree with you because he was trying for the 4 laps, apart from his last race when he gave up in disgust just before the end. After the night he'd had I probably would have done too. I was more disappointed with Woryna being stupid because he was on TV and acting like a 4 year old. What a prat.

I agree. I feel quite sorry for her sometimes as I have to beat her up first to get her to come with me. -
Swindon - Coventry 4.7.16 On Sky
Gemini replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well, that wasn't too cringeworthy, although I didn't watch any of the team manager's interviews except Gary's before heat 15. What a prat Woryna is acting like a 6 year old. Completely gone off him now. A couple of decisions could have made Coventry's score a bit closer. Bates making a good start ~ nothing wrong with it at all but got called back. Fed up with these lately as it's happening all the time. Also the race being immediately stopped while Bees were in front when Charles Wright was on his feet and ready to clear his bike from the track. Now I've seen it I must admit KK was genuinely trying hard in all of his races but was getting nowhere due to his second bike being so slow so I'll forgive him an off night. -

Yes, I'm all prepared and going to watch it now. One thing I can't stand though is riders giving up when in 4th place so I do hope KK really had bike problems and wasn't doing a Gollob. -

Let me have a guess. The Dogs Trust? They say women are bitchy and go on and on about things but my goodness this thread takes some beating and all men involved. I hope Dazzafl sticks to his word and doesn't reply to your posts from now on and perhaps Gavan should take that advice as well because you are clearly just loving all the attention and the more people reply the more you will carry on. (I really would like to protect Norbold's Hole's position for a few more years too.) -

Thanks. I'll wizz through that later as I'm in a good mood. Judging by the comments on here and Facebook that might change though. -
Wally Loak? (Or something like that.) I used to have some of those and had a tape to tape cassette thingy but they went in the rubbish bin years ago.
-
Ah...well....that's Premier League riders for you. I hope Leicester return to that league next season.
-
Were both exit gates open? We've had that problem sometimes when only one has been open which obviously leads to a bit of chaos with cars coming from all directions.
-
Still have 'war cries' at Leicester. Give us an L, give us an I......... Shame but it would very rarely happen these days as they are too busy packing up and catching a flight to ride for their other team/s.
-
Leicester's reserves 18 ~ Wolves reserves 4 says it all really. Sam, Jacob and Scott all won the rider replacement rides for Freddie so did their bit but when it was Peter's turn he came last. I don't know how he is riding at Monmore but judging by his performance tonight, scoring just 3 points, it's perhaps one season too many now and he should call it a day in the UK after this year. This wasn't such a good meeting as the Coventry one and was also very drawn out with a couple of crashes and race re-starts. One thing I will say though is that the presentation is really good and fans are always kept informed what is going on.
-
No, definitely don't miss that. Most fans left after the main match anyway so we'd be losing two heats if they went back to that idea.
-
Leicester have to manage with 235. However, there is a shopping centre car park that can be used for up to 4 hours about half a mile away. It might be a quarter of a mile trek ~ it just feels like half a mile.
-
Tom Perry did a great bit of team riding with reserve Jack Smith at the Storm v Birmingham match recently and that was National League level. The referee must have been that impressed he gave the 5-1 to Birmingham even though we thought Coventry's Mitchell Davey had split them on the line.

Coventry V Swindon Friday 1st July
Gemini replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Probably a better idea. By the looks of that forecast it might rain around 2pm/3pm so that will water the track nicely. Afterwards just one big grey cloud and all next week too but we're used to that now. It's only July so we can't really expect anything else. -

Not that I can fully understand that weather forecast surely most of the time it's just cloudy not raining? Anyway, it could all change tomorrow and the sun might be shining.
