  1. I don't think the cut off date is that early? Play-offs aren't until October...not that we need to worry about those.
  2. I know it must be hard for you to understand but first and foremost I am a fan of Speedway, not just one individual team, so I can still enjoy the racing even if Coventry don't win. It's obviously more enjoyable if they do but not the end of the World if they don't. As things stand at the moment though I am getting less and less interested in the Elite League as it lurches from one disastrous season to another so sorry to disappoint you but I'm not a liar when I say I'm not bothered.
  3. You really don't get it do you? You ask him a question, he replies and you think he's on the wrong thread. To answer your question because I understand and don't ignore them or give a stupid answer ~ none, zero, zilch. Am I bothered? Not at all, but I don't think it does Speedway any good at all if Poole win for the 4th time in a row so I'll be hoping it's another team this season.
  4. Might be if we're live on Sky twice next month. Save a bit of embarrassment.
  5. You were at home in October 2010 Poole v Coventry match but still waiting for that rider by rider report so I think she's right Steve only does them when Pirates win.
  6. Oh damn! I thought the word grockles would confuse everyone ~ I've just been longing to use that word since I learnt it from Rabbit many years ago. No need to disagree because I agree beaches must be very nice to live near but personally I don't like sand and I can't swim so the sea is not much use either. Prefer the countryside myself. I think he also hangs out around Studland Bay? Saw him and a couple of equally interesting sights a few years ago.
  7. Just hoping the family I advised to take a look at Poole Speedway tonight, when they were looking for suggestions on Facebook of what to do in the area whilst on holiday this week, don't take any notice and go to the pub instead.
  8. Not only that but the place is full of grockles in the Summer months so there is no advantage living near a beach.
  9. Thanks for the summing up as I'd given up trying to understand this thread ages ago. Such a lot of aggro, which is usually confined to the close season on here when everyone is bored with no Speedway to follow, but of course we are in the middle of Summer and matches are going on at E.L. tracks every week all over the country........or perhaps not.
  10. 2004 wasn't too good either. Strangely enough though I really enjoyed that season even though both the Bees and Cougars finished bottom of their respective leagues.
  11. Agree, but don't bother wasting your time arguing with Starman. The two Kings Lynn fans we were due to meet at the track were going to be on the 4th bend but they very wisely decided to not pay to go in until they heard the sound of bikes revving up. Unfortunately we didn't wait as we had no idea the match wouldn't be going ahead. The track looked no worse than Coventry's did the night before.
  12. Let me guess......lead by Troy Batchelor and Rory Schlein. Aussie rules. Who was the referee?
  13. Sounds a bit precarious. No health and safety rules at Monmore then?
  14. Was it Alan Jones? I saw him replying to questions. Linda Jones ~ Web administrator. Obviously caught them out as well because the track was being watered at 4.30pm. I agree with you the main objection is the promotion keeping the turnstiles open and letting everyone in when they must have known beforehand the match wasn't going ahead with riders not even changed. He might have better luck a few miles up the road at Groby Pool.
  15. Very good. I was trying to think of something but in the end didn't want to tax my brain too much. I've got loads of photos of Little Egrets if Mr Watson needs any help with identification.
  16. Of course he wasn't there. He's just being stupid as usual so do like most others do and ignore what he says.
  17. Perhaps because no-one knows for sure yet. We're not Swindon out to fleece the fans by having a Farewell meeting at The Abbey and then carrying on.
  18. Mostly cloudy with the possibility of a shower or two. Should be okay. http://www.accuweather.com/en/gb/beaumont-leys/le4-1/hourly-weather-forecast/2519836
  19. Pretty fair summing up for a Steve Shovlar post I reckon. Apart from the obvious delight at the final score line and heat 15 I didn't think the racing was that good and I've certainly got used to seeing a lot better at Coventry. Still, we won so I'll take that thank you. Yes, that's weird because according to our announcer the rule was only brought in at lunch time that day, which would have been Friday, yet it was used on Thursday as well.
  20. Make sure you get in the stadium car park then because that sounds like more than four hours to me.
  21. Really? Belligo a big fat zero. Barker 5 and Adam 4....if you're calling them guests. Adam was already in the race when he had his 4th ride. The other possibility was heat 9 but that was against Pedersen and Kurtz who scored a 5-1 so I doubt if replacing him with Adam would have made any difference. New rule brought in especially for Poole at lunch time today so Bjarne didn't get excluded. That's got to be a bit easier than trying to get a dog to limbo underneath the turnstile.
  22. Now I know you hate all things Coventry but calling that a rant? No way as he was just saying he was against the rule in the first place, as was your beloved leader, and I think all the promoters have probably realized by now how stupid it was. I think next season SCB should sit in at the promoters conference and have some input because he seems to have a much better idea of the best rules and regulations to pass than any of them do.
  23. Don't say that. One of my friends is heading up there tomorrow. Kings Lynn today, Belle Vue Friday and Leicester Saturday.
  24. I was with them but not the one with the flag as she supports Kings Lynn and went home very happy. You can see us on the video up until heat six when we moved to the back straight, hoping it wouldn't be so cold and windy there. If only I could get Lucy to pay more attention instead of lying down asleep all the time you would have seen her as well.
