  1. What did he do ~ kick it? Please don't get the hump as it's just a jokey comment on something that made me laugh as it seems fun is not allowed on here any more as there are a lot of tetchy people around.
  2. Yes, it's a bit too early yet and probably won't be until the first week in October before the line up is announced, just giving some riders the chance to check back on their list of excuses for dropping out so they don't use the same one twice.
  3. I'm mainly watching E.L and N.L racing this year but by PL standard I'd say riders like Simon Stead, Craig Cook, Ben Barker, Ryan Fisher, Ludvig Lindgren, Aaron Summers, Josh Bates, Richard Lawson, Kenneth Hansen etc. I don't need to watch the likes of Pedersen, Hancock, Doyle, Andersen etc. to enjoy Speedway and would be more than happy with one league next season or North and South with the top 4 meeting each other in play offs at the end. The Elite League is too boring with only 8 teams in it.
  4. It might be a good idea but it wouldn't change things with riders dropping out as these meetings just don't have the same interest to them as it had years ago and it must be hard for some of them to think of different excuses to avoid riding. Probably the fans too aren't that bothered these days ~ I know I'm not, although I might go to the National League one as it's only up the road. I think you've probably also forgotten that there is now a G.P. in Australia in October so some top EL riders will be heading down under come the middle of that month. (This year's is on the 22nd.)
  5. Good grief! I'm afraid I would have gone home half way through the second match if there was no urgency to get things moving. Coventry's double header on Friday was bad enough but at least the referee put the two minutes time allowance on immediately a race had finished.
  6. Blimey it's all going on at Belle Vue these days. Shame they don't allow dogs or I'd pay a visit and see if there are any nice ones available cheap.
  7. I'm not into statistics so I hope you will work it out and while you're doing it see how many times the other seven teams have managed to track their 1-7. On second thoughts make that six teams because Poole are perfect so their riders have probably ridden in every match, bar injuries.
  8. My initial thought was who did he ride for but I suppose I ought to be serious. It depends what the £2,000 was for ~ kevlars, wages not paid, sponsors money, petrol, van, it could be anything so there are always two sides to every story. Unless you know exactly why he was owed £2,000 and why he quickly removed the 'tweet' or whatever it's called then you know as much as me.
  9. 4 Premier League standard and 2 National League at reserve in each team. Sorted.
  10. As someone who was convinced two people were actually the same person and continued to go on about it for weeks on end pardon me if I don't believe anything you say is 'bloody true' from now on as you obviously know the same as everyone else on here.....which is usually zilch.
  11. Me in this case as it rained all night, all morning and the early part of the afternoon as well. Now ask the same question about the Poole match and I would give a different answer because that was dodgy and probably had some involvement from Matt Ford.
  12. Is there anyone? Nothing wrong in keeping a check on the finances to ensure the club can continue each season. Unfortunately we don't have a millionaire promoter any more as he got hounded out.
  13. Thank you for the confirmation as I thought that's what I heard David (or Peter York) say when he was announcing the teams, which explains that he wasn't actually 'sitting in the pits' doing nothing. Incidentally who was it that took over the announcing for a while because he was pretty good?
  14. Who knows. There might be a shock in store and one big league joining up with the E.L.
  15. Yes, I'd agree with that, which is why I've been going this year. Just need to alter the 1st/2nd bend when the season has finished, drop down to the Premier League again, pay all the debts and get someone to take over then things will be looking rosy for 2017.
  16. I think someone has said Fricke wants too much money.
  17. I was referring to Henry Atkins not Mick Horton. Drew2 thought he should have been given a ride but I thought I heard he wasn't even there. Could be wrong though ~ I usually am.
  18. I'd keep these four. Danny, Chris, Josh and Jason ~ with fingers crossed he has an injury free season. No Woryna or Sarjeant and it's pretty obvious KK will choose Poole over Coventry.
  19. Is your inbox full Steve as I tried to send you a message?
  20. Oh dear that's a shame but with his style of riding he seems very injury prone.
  21. For heaven's sake Steve just ignore him. Not worth replying.
  22. Good grief that's rather an over reaction to a bit of light hearted fun, of which there's not much on here these days. I think someone should go to bed a bit earlier so they're not so tetchy.
