  1. I don't think anyone would try because it's true. The G.P's will continue though.
  2. I'd like to bet that he knows exactly where he's going.
  3. I doubt it myself. As soon as Poole are 10 behind they will use a tactical.
  4. Half the team is already made up of PL riders so what's the difference? I'd much prefer to drop down and see more variety of teams instead of the same 7 twice. It won't happen though unfortunately.
  5. Not sure but whatever it is not many would bother going. Of course the solution would be to drop down to the Premier League and then we wouldn't have to bother about G.P's or SEC's. Perhaps we could even go back to how it used to be on a Saturday night ~ three Speedway and one Stock Car. No messing about and everyone knows when a match is on.
  6. Here you go Shale Searcher....copied from another topic as the person who did it was on his phone so couldn't. Get your popcorn and fizzy drink, sit and relax and digest this. SCB, on 10 Apr 2016 - 1:54 PM, said: Coventry winning the EL play-offs at Poole in 2010 is probably a good place to start. That night Poole turned the hot water off in the showers, refused to give Coventry any champagne and didn't use the fireworks. So obviously Matt was a little upset. But I doubt it was just about losing that night. It goes back a little more than that though. Coventry had sparingly used Shamek Pawlicki that season, he signed in April but only rode 11 meetings in a season 12 were needed to get an average. Yes some were because he was in U21s and GP qualis but some where very dodgy absences, certainly in August and September as it meant he'd stay in reserve. That upset a few, including Poole but also Swindon as that was one of the tracks Coventry went to without him. The thing is, that season you could use your number 8 (Aaron Summers in Coventrys case) for any rider at any time so Coventry broke no rules. It was just tactics. As a result the BSPa changed the rules so Pawlicki got an average that winter, the rule for averages changed from 12 to 8 but was also retrospective. Every other time the rules on averages change at an AGM it's never been retrospective before (or since - eg rolling averages changed form 28 to 20 meetings but not until the first set of averages). So that upset Coventry. Coventry had also signed Kenni Larsen. The conversion had always been 0.5 but they changed it to 0.6 sighting the case of Holder, Ward and Woffy who 0.6 would have been closer to reality. Which two clubs campaigned most for it? Wolves and Poole! Again, it upset Coventry and at that point dragged Peterborough into it as Sundstroms average went up too. Coventry/Poole bad feeling had been brewing for a while. It was Coventry who accused Poole of cheating in 2009 to get averages down and make changes. Everyone knows they did it, it couldn't be proven. Also throughout 2010 Allen Trump (then Cov promoter) had made many claims against Poole and slagged them off in the press. I said at the time it was a silly thing to do but antagonise Ford and he gets his mates to screw you over. Coventry eventually backed down over walking out when the BSPA agreed that they wouldn't retro-change Pawlickis average but make him a 5 (rather than his original 4 or his attained 6.5). Then in August that year Darcy Ward (Poole) and<cannot be named fore legal reasons> were arrested. At the same time Coventry re-declared their team in two stages. Ford on the BSPA MC accepted the first part (Kildemand and McGowan dropped for little Pawlicki) but didnt allow the second bit of Kildemand in for Josh Auty. That meant Coventry had Auty and Morris (who was unavailable for reasons Matt Ford knew all about) sharing a place. Ford knew Morris was not available so he couldn't possibly ride and that Auty knowing he'd been dropped would tell them to get stuffed (plus stood litle chance of getting there when Coventry only found out at 5.30) meaning Coventry had to go into a meeting with 6 riders. At the same time, Ford text Kildemand and told him Coventry had dropped him (technically true, but only for a few seconds) and asking if he wanted to sign for Poole so Kildemand agreed to sign for Poole thinking he'd been dropped. Ford rather than re-declaring the second Coventry re-declarion redeclared the Poole team with Kildemand in. I've probably missed something out, it was 5 years ago now.
  7. Why would you want Kasprzak back when he misses lots of matches and we end up with a National League rider at number 1?
  8. Yes, we know that. The point is why and the answer is 2010/11, plus the Kildemand affair was the last straw. Can you be on hand to be Starman's translator please so he understands what people are saying? I'm sure SCB knows all the details and will tell you when he reads this. Unfortunately I can't remember exactly what happened now except that it involved Poole and Matt Ford of course. Yes, lets.
  9. There you go Robert. Book your tickets.
  10. No idea except I think it's in the car park. The other land isn't very flat is it?
  11. Nothing this Saturday anyway unless you want to see Planet Circus in the car park. Won't Leicester get fined if they don't complete all their matches? Perhaps the Kings Lynn one will be midweek or on the 1st of October.
  12. Really? Okay I don't mind admitting I hate Poole and probably the Leicester v Coventry, Wolverhampton v Cradley matches in the past were pretty intense but nothing like the rivalry in Poland. That's what I like about Speedway ~ I can quite happily watch a meeting with fans from the opposing team with no problems.
  13. Well. at least you answered the question thanks. My mistake sorry as I thought you lived further away, although not quite so far away as on the moon.
  14. Just as a matter of interest how many times have you actually supported Poole this season, apart from on here, because I know you don't live anywhere near the track? My pet hates ~ messing around at the start and tractor racing. Just get on with it then maybe we could have a second half involving the young NL lads to give them more track time. We get told the tractor grading is 'to put the shale back on the racing line' but my reply to that would be 'what shale?'
  15. This thread could go on for quite a while but it's strange how there is one person missing who usually likes to join in discussions like this.
  16. I don't watch any Speedway from Poland but I wouldn't like things to be that intense over here. I don't suppose others will agree but that's how I feel.
  17. Keep going. You'll soon have this thread all to yourself.
  18. Is he the ref that David Hemsley had his little disagreement with at Leicester?
  19. Yes, a quick wizz up the M6 for home meetings. No point in going any further afield.
  20. It wouldn't have cost money to have a few kids do a lap of the track and inject a bit of humour into the proceedings as was promised. No idea why it didn't happen but can only think it was because of the Storm match being tagged on and the need to get on with things. Someone mentioned fireworks too but we haven't had them for a few years going back to Sandhu when I think there were complaints from the neighbours. It probably didn't have the usual 'end of the season' feel about it because although it was the last league match there is still the ELRC to come and a couple of Storm matches. It would be nice though if someone could explain on here (Neil!) exactly why the riders didn't come out at the end even if they didn't get to speak and why the kids bike races didn't happen.
