  1. Heaven knows but it will probably be Leicester for me being as it's only up the road, if they ever get sorted out of course. No it doesn't and we all know how quickly the law works.
  2. Join the club. I admire all those fans who have been optimistic up to now but the fact there has been no reassuring statement at all from the promoters speaks volumes. Statement signed on November 3rd but now it seems clear nothing has been signed. As Nan would say 'What a load of old rubbish.'
  3. It's not quite true to say nothing is being done to it though is it? Photos show that things are still happening ~ lamp posts broken down, fence removed, doors broken. Hence the reason why some of us are still worried exactly what is going on.
  4. I think Chris struggled with his set up every year. It always seemed to take a few months before he properly got going then he'd be flying by the end of the season. I could never understand why he didn't then keep those bikes/engines or whatever and put them in moth balls until March but he always seemed to start from scratch again and have the same early season problems. Anyway, it doesn't concern us now so I hope he carries on his normal practice and we meet Rye House early on.
  5. I don't think the problem is all to do with the bikes but certain riders who have to get their leg over one so it would make no difference. They only have to see a damp track and they either refuse to ride or just tootle round at the back. Prefer not to name names but I think we all know who they are.
  6. Sorry teaboy ~ it's just a bit of an on-going guessing game trying to find out who Robert72 is because he claims to have been a Speedway rider and some don't believe him. Thought I might have cracked it then but obviously not so back to the drawing board.
  7. Do you know something we don't know? Just logged on and had to quickly check the Coventry thread expecting the worst. Just when I'm trying my best to be positive about the situation.
  8. If I could change it I'd change the title to 'Time For Someone to be Sectioned' rather than 'Time for a Section Change.' I think that sounds much better.
  9. Are there any decent riders left for Leicester to sign?
  10. Could you see the racing okay? The last time we went it was that dusty we hardly saw a thing.
  11. I'd like to bet that the change will be delayed even more now Gustix has brought the subject up. Anyway, I'm quite happy with it still being called the Elite League for now until I get my head around the new name.
  12. Blimey is SCB out for the evening? Surprised he hasn't commented yet how well off all OAP's are compared to youngsters who can't afford to get on the property market.
  13. Me ever moan? I think I'm quite unbiased really. .... You're right woz01 I actually didn't mind paying the extra £3 admission and it certainly wasn't enough to keep me away, especially as mostly there are only matches every two weeks.
  14. He will be for the chop then. The last person that liked a post Mick didn't agree with got the sack never to be seen again. Clue......Chris Simpson our D.J. and the rider who was in dispute with the promotion about payment for his kevlars I believe. Kenni Larson or Kenneth Hansen, I can never remember which one.
  15. Now which meeting are you referring to? The words Kings Lynn strikes fear into my heart as things seem to happen when the Lions meet the Stars. By the way bring your own seat if you should go to Coventry or you won't be able to sit down.
  16. Glyn did a good job on bends 3/4 so is it not possible for him to sort the other bends out, or perhaps he's not going to be involved anymore? The racing was noticeably better this season after the work was carried out.
  17. Ah the old fold up seat that youngsters like SCB take the mickey out of, especially when accompanied by a blanket and a flask of coffee. Perhaps they'll be the 'in thing' next season then so I'll fit in really well.
  18. Surely he will be getting on for 80 in three years time as I think he's about the same age as me? Depends how fit he is of course. I'm not.
  19. There will no doubt be one but give him chance as he's probably getting over jet-lag at the moment. Do we really need one anyway? It's hard to believe what anyone says these days so it's pretty much a waste of time. That's what worries me too. I'll believe we're up and running when I'm watching the first race.
