  1. Never heard of Nick Hurst so don't know who he is.
  2. Are you dissing the Coventry team Liontamer? Has he signed? Take your pick then on changing one of my suggested team. Nice way to be treated. Good luck Glyn and thank you for all your hard work over the last 5 years.
  3. I reckon the following:- Danny King Kenneth Bjerre Lasse Bjerre James Sarjeant Jason Garrity Josh Bates Lewis Kerr I wouldn't bother trying to get an answer.
  4. Blimey! How has Gustix managed to miss this story and giving the link?
  5. Personally I'd ask them to calm down first.
  6. Yes it's him that keeps banging on about Coventry using Leicester's track. There was never any intention of doing this by the promotion and it's certainly not what either set of fans want.
  7. Sure about your comment 'without DH there would be no Speedway in Leicester to talk about.' There were others involved ~ one being Ken Naylor ~ but there's not much point reeling names off because you wouldn't know who they are anyway. Blimey! You've got a good memory. I keep waiting for the second series but perhaps they can't get enough volunteers to make one.
  8. Are you quite sure about that? I think there were quite a few others involved who dropped out one by one because of his attitude.
  9. Yes, I know and I might change my choice to this one now. Damn depressing just when I was feeling a bit better. Well, his lips are perhaps sealed as he's not allowed to say anything yet but that's rather a good cryptic clue.
  10. Actually it doesn't annoy me. You're getting too wound up lately and need to chill about comments regarding Poole riders. You don't want to end up like Starman do you?
  11. What new bridge? Actually I might know this as I think there has been a massive housing estate built/being built on Lubbersthorpe Road and it goes there and presumably is also their access to the M1. I always try to avert my eyes from even a quick glance of looking up there.
  12. Unfortunately it's a rather complicated road system for me to get to Sainsbury's so I'd probably end up on my way to Nottingham up the M1 North. Sad really because I'd quite like to go to Pets At Home.
  13. Let's hope he doesn't do a Sandhu then and remove them.
  14. So what information has been released that indicates Coventry will be running? Can't say I have seen anything myself apart from photos/videos of a dilapidated stadium on Facebook and the fact that Sandhu has now 'moved on.' Nothing at all from the Bees promotion unless I blinked and missed it.
  15. Fosse Park is my nearest and I can't say I've ever seen one there so I won't bother joining the queue. Strangely enough our corner shop had a copy a few weeks ago ~ just the one. I knew I should have bought it to give him a bit of encouragement as he hasn't stocked any since.
  16. Peter York might be looking for a job soon.
  17. Probably it was before the fixtures and fittings were removed because in previous seasons the Speedway promoters were paying to lease it from Sandhu and all the food/drink sales went to him so the financial side of things should have been a lot better in 2017. Of course we all know now it's not worked out that way.
  18. I don't. As to who owns the stadium who knows as it's all very confusing ~ to me anyway. Doesn't David lease it from the council rather than actually own it?
  19. Blimey! It's all happening in this week's Speedway Star. Judging by comments on other threads it looks like it's going to be sold out everywhere so not much point me looking for a copy. Wonder when Mick Horton is going to have a 2 page article or even 1 page?
  20. So true. Trouble is promoters don't think we need to know what's going on and keep everything quiet. We have had no comment from Mick Horton since the end of the 2016 season regarding Coventry so all that happens is fans speculating on possible different outcomes and becoming more disillusioned with the sport. Is no news good news? Who knows but as Sandhu has now apparently 'moved on' and the stadium is missing most of the things that make it operational I'm sadly in the disillusioned and pessimistic camp.
  21. No not really, apart from the occasional look at Peterborough threads as they are the nearest lower division team to me and where I'm more likely to go. I still think the E.L. has been in a bigger mess this close season than any of the others, with doubt about running of almost half of last year's teams. Thankfully Leicester seem to be sorted, although no idea who will be in the team and Belle Vue will hopefully have good news this week, which leaves Coventry ~ heaven knows what's happening with them. At least Swindon have the old stadium to use this year should the new one not materialize. I can't remember saying it was all the fault of the top flight though.
  22. Okay fair enough as I didn't think of the other teams involved, just what a mess the E.L. is in at the moment. Anyway. I hope it all works out well for Somerset. Have loved visiting there in the past ~ great track.
  23. Don't worry as I doubt very much if that will happen. I bet you won't say no to using riders from the Coventry team though?
  24. Yes it is but the one below seems to sum it up better unfortunately.
