  1. If you read any of his posts the first word is always in capital letters. Just a bit confusing this time perhaps because there's only one word.
  2. This will be followed by the British Youth Championship that was previously abandoned so what is going to happen about parking being as there is a 4 hour limit? Presumably the admission will be higher to cover both meetings but fans might not be able to watch much of the second one.
  3. I agree with ch958 and don't think it is due to the weakening of the teams and lack of the so called star riders. What is losing fans is getting continually cheesed off with only having a few of your own team because two of them are riding for another club, made up with anyone who happens to be available plus rider replacement. That and going weeks without a match then the promoters suddenly waking up and realising they have umpteen of them to fit in by early September.
  4. It might sound good but the reality might change your mind after standing around for hours in the cold with track grading every 4 heats. You could of course take a garden seat, have a flask of coffee, packet of crisps and a few cucumber sandwiches to complete the picture of a typical Speedway fan.
  5. I have as well and I've got something to play them on. Remember the Walkman?
  6. .....I wait with bated breath to see if you get an answer.
  7. With a bit of luck the idea of promotion/relegation play offs might just be quietly forgotten as it's a stupid idea anyway which hasn't worked in the past when it was tried and won't work now. If Leicester have any sense they will want to drop down a division in 2018, (unless it's one big league), and carry on with Saturday night racing. I doubt if Sheffield want to be in the Premiership so it's going to be interesting watching both teams attempting to lose. Better tell the guests in advance what the plan is.
  8. One would hope so but who knows what will happen next season. We may be in different leagues. Just wanted to add I'm very impressed with the announcer at Beaumont Park ~ Tom Sensicall. Nice clear voice, very rarely makes a mistake and explains what is happening when there is a delay of any sort. Well done Tom.
  9. Daft idea if the aim is for Clean Cut Sports to sell DVD's. Surely it would be better to show one of the more exciting races to encourage fans to buy them. Showing that race is hardly going to boost sales, but should do okay with Belle Vue fans.
  10. You got me worried then as I always like to go to the Sunday meetings at Peterborough.
  11. I can't see that far. I'll take your word for it though. Watching them negotiate bend 4 is bad enough.
  12. Certainly have but I wish Scott Nicholls wouldn't ride quite so wide on bend 3/4.
  13. They do in Leicester. Perhaps the sun is setting differently in Norfolk so you're very lucky.
  14. Facebook probably. So incorrect information then? Apologies. Still won't see him over here again though so all irrelevant really.
  15. Seems stupid to have the same teams riding twice. I thought it was daft enough when Leicester recently had Kings Lynn as the opposition two weeks running. The fixtures this season have been a shambles and now we're into the last few weeks they're having to be crammed in, in spite of the fact there are only a paltry 8 teams in the league and the season starts in March. How about ONE match which counts as double and the usual admission fee?
  16. Do you really think he's going to be available? How long does a broken shoulder take to heal and that's on top of the other injury he had? If he rides anywhere it will be in Poland. (Fully prepared to be completely wrong, but I doubt it.)
  17. In fairness I think James Sargeant was also without a team place at the start of the year due to his unfortunate habit of either moving at the start or touching the tapes so no team wanted to take a chance on him.
  18. So what will happen about a sun break? Will it magically be okay to ride because they've got to get a move on? Best bet is to get Jim McGregor as the ref as he refused one at Leicester recently.
  19. Surely the Pole won't be back that quickly after a broken collarbone? Can't see him riding again in the UK this season anyway. I'd like to bet he'd turn down any booking to ride at Poole so I doubt it would be him guesting.
  20. Thanks for trying to help but it's Cycle Speedway fixtures not the Lions. I'm on their Facebook group which is pretty good with updates as well. Looks like I've had it for this season then because like you with Speedway I prefer 'top' league matches. I'm not keen on individuals either.
  21. So how is one supposed to find out the fixture list? All the Leicester websites I've looked at are years out of date .
  22. I think if that happens it will be followed by an SCB style rant.
  23. Oh right. Must admit we lost a bit of interest when they pulled out of the top league a few years ago and haven't been for a while due to Peterborough Sunday matches or family always seeming to want to visit on a Sunday afternoon and go for a walk. Will have to make an effort to go, although we have to hide the dogs behind a banner because strangely enough although they go to sleep at Speedway meetings they find Cycle Speedway very exciting. Must be all the little legs wizzing round.
  24. In that case, although it seems I am a Leicester fan this season, I hope Kings Lynn thrash them.
