  1. I never buy Danish bacon. I like to think that the Pigs have a little bit of freedom in England before they have to be slaughtered unlike Denmark's intensive rearing. Incidentally we saw a hilarious Pig Race at Brickfields Heavy Horse Centre in the Isle of Wight recently, but even they are destined to be killed in a couple of months time. Surely the Pig must produce more variety of meat than any other animal? Bacon, ham, sausages, pork pie, roast pork, faggots......not that I eat any of it myself.
  2. That figures. I can understand fans wanting to make a swift exit from Monmore Green.
  3. No? Why do you think loads of us on here were chuffed to bits when Australia didn't qualify for the final. We remember.......
  4. Do ya know - you've always confused me. I'm completely lost now.
  5. And when I am in need of a chair lift to get me upstairs I'll make sure it's not from Meridian. I'd rather move house and get myself a bungalow.
  6. Much as it pains me to do so, I have to agree with Steve on the Scott Nicholls incident. I think it was a bad mistake on his part which in the end probably cost England the chance of a race-off. The two riders in 1st and 2nd places were still belting round and if Nicki had fallen behind him, which Scott thought had happened, he would have had at least half a lap to pull up. Surely he must have seen that Lindback and Rempala were still racing? I thought flash cameras were banned whilst a race was on anyway? Someone must know who the guilty person is so when we find out I reckon he should be hung, drawn and quartered.
  7. And don't worry about the Glasgow avatar Queen Bee, she doesn't live up in Scotland although it's hard to keep up with her. I think it's still High Wycombe at the moment and she occasionally makes trips to Brandon so you could probably meet up there sometime.
  8. I don't! I hope someone cellotapes his mouth up and ties him to a chair out of the way somewhere so the riders can get a word in edgeways.
  9. Oh dear! Two Taurus's. What do you expect? He always used to think those Weetabix adverts of a year or so ago were too violent as well.
  10. You sound like an advert for Sky Bet. I think those adverts are hilarious, but the other half doesn't agree with them. No sense of humour some people.
  11. Not a lot else to be said really. Best meeting on Sky for years and some awesome racing. Glad Sweden and Poland went through. Brilliant stuff. Just one moan....that stupid on board camera. I wish it would get smashed up as it is next to useless and whilst we're seeing a bit of shale and a blurred view of someone's backside, we are missing the action on the track. By all means show bits afterwards (if there is anything worth watching) but not while the race is going on.
  12. I don't really think anyone is slating him too badly, just taking the mickey and understandably so as he definitely wasn't his normal self. I don't drink so I don't know how long it takes to sober up, but it seemed damn quick to me even if he'd had a gallon of coffee poured down him. So perhaps your suggestion of medication could be correct, but if so he needs to take it a lot earlier next time! Also if he is then what does he do when he's riding? Wouldn't be allowed surely? His speech seemed to me like that of someone who had suffered a mini-stroke with slurred words and others added in when not needed. And he definitely wanted the interview to end as he turned his head away from the camera after saying "Over to you Keith." Strange.
  13. Ooooo! I know someone who goes to a couple of the G.P's on her own, who I'm sure would appreciate some feminine company. She was even going to Australia on her tod, (accompanied by Pawprint smuggled in her luggage), but in the end a friend went with her. JOANNE....over to you.
  14. I reckon you might find it just a tad more crowded than it was last night, unless you are planning on picking your spot a couple of hours before the meeting starts. I'd stick with your seats or someone might nick them.
  15. I tell you what I will be really disappointed if that happens. I tell you what I like Kelvin. I tell you what I hope it's Sir Kelvin, whether he's had a few too many or not.
  16. Damn! That means I am going to have to watch the whole lot again tomorrow to find out. So this is Monday night, someone talking to a Swedish rider, with a nice bum. Well that narrows it down a bit. Err....Shane Parker? Although personally I've never seen his bum, but I understand he is quite partial to showing it when the occasion arises.
  17. I must pay more attention as I missed this. Come on...give us a clue when, or I will have to watch the whole lot over again. Surely not Nicki?
  18. Anyone know where these girls are from? Not the usual Eastbourne ones I presume and will they be going across to Poole for a repeat performance? Might have to slip something in Summit's cup of tea if they are.
  19. So which rider was that? Daniele, Simone or Andrea?
  20. My choice is.... 1st.. Sweden. 2nd..Denmark 3rd..Britain 4th..Australia. What...that Denmark would win? If you are referring to the girls in the Italian team, unfortunately Andrea, Simone and Daniele looked just a little bit too masculine for him.
  21. The crowd didn't look too bad to me, especially on Monday. It's understandable that it wasn't as good on Tuesday when there was no GB team there. I'm sure the place will be packed at Poole for the final and a good attendance at the play-off on Thursday as well. I don't want to sound like Steve Shovlar but I don't think you can beat the South Coast for the venues. And did you notice the sun was shining whereas other parts of the country seemed to be having thunderstorms and heavy rain? Spot on picking Eastbourne & Poole I think. Wish I could have been in the area on holiday this week, but we were in Dorset two weeks ago so just missed out.
