  1. And there we have it........ the way to the top. Well said Swine Town.
  2. Don't want to worry you, but that could have been Steve Turner. Pink hat, mini-skirt, thigh length boots, flowered top?
  3. I can't understand why Bernie is posting like this tonight because if you read her other posts she is perfectly understandable and her punctuation and spelling are good. Perhaps I'll just give them a miss tonight as I can't understand them. Normal service resumed tomorrow no doubt.
  4. Thanks Shirls. I don't know what happened then as we were at Cardiff. Worst thing is I lent it to someone on Friday at Coventry and forgot to mention about the 2 minute blackness. Never mind they will soon find out.
  5. Jay.......As if I'd forget meeting you after you've been keeping out of my way (or so it seems) for so long. This is a thread about who we met in Cardiff. You get full recognition in the Swindon v Coventry one. "I wish you'd all stop saying that. Could be serious egg on face time come Sunday evening. I prefer to be more pessimistic and then it's really nice when things turn out well." "Serious egg on face time it was then. Pretty awful performance by the Coventry riders, with a couple of exceptions, and a boring meeting but as I spent a lot of the evening with the lovely Addy the speedway came second anyway. Thank goodness for forum members to take my mind off the track "action". So many were there too and I met up with False dawn, Full Throttle, Dave Jones, A61, The Fairies, Grachan, ArnieG, Joanne, Kevin Hammond, Chivs, Robbie_45, Woody the Bee, Steve Turner, Sullyrox, shortoi, Silver Cheetah, Ballinger, London Witch and Witches v Hammers. Nice to meet for the first time at last! JAY, also Buzzybee. I think that's the lot. Sorry if I've missed anyone. By the way I needn't have worried about the fireworks after all as the dog hated Swindon before the match even started so I took her back to the car. Perhaps she knew what was coming."
  6. ....How on earth do you manage that? My dog put her paw down at wearing a black/yellow scarf many years ago.
  7. Some people are just miserable. What's wrong with downloading a few photos of forum members so I can put them in my photo album?
  8. Managed to set the video okay and even allowed an extra hour in case it went over, but did anyone else miss half of heat 8? The screen was black for about a minute or two. Perhaps it was just NTL as no-one else seems to have mentioned it.
  9. Didn't meet many as we didn't go to the Prince of Wales, but were kept busy keeping Pawprint on the run so she'd be worn out for the evening. Was Sam's Bar shut by the way, as said earlier in the week? Met Andy P for the first time at The Castle, also nice to see Scorpio again. Bumped into Liontamer and his son in the queue for the programmes, also Joanne inside the stadium. That's about it I think. All in all a brilliant weekend, but I wish we'd gone home on Sunday instead of going to the Swindon v Coventry meeting. Still Porthcawl was nice beforehand and the Travel Lodge bed was very comfortable on Sunday night so not completely a waste of time and money. Looking forward to 2006 already.
  10. Sorry, but I don't agree with that. I thought it was the best G.P. yet with plenty of passing. Having now watched the Sky broadcast as well there were only 3 heats when there was no passing - heats 10, 18 and the re-run of the 2nd semi-final when there were only three riders. Not bad for 23 heats racing and there aren't many league matches on "proper" tracks where you would see that amount of passing. Brilliant stuff.
  11. Surely can't be correct? Marek Wojaczek was the referee printed in the G.P. programme and he was the one who was in charge of the meeting wasn't he? I seem to recall his name being mentioned more than once during the Sky broadcast.
  12. Is this any help? http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...12entry407812
  13. You really must pay a visit to Brandon as it is entirely different now. Great music and tunes for all the riders. Disco after the meeting in the downstairs bar. It has improved 100% this season. Stand near a loudspeaker and you can clear your ears and sinuses out for the next 12 months.
  14. That's the route I've got from the A.A. if I ever get there.
  15. Oh god! Don't say they will be firing bloody great cannons? We usually end up at the Castle to give Jemma a run on the grass.
  16. That's sad. I hope you've knocked them off your Christmas card list. Hope to see you on your visit to Coventry.
  17. Just to clear this up for a thick person like me who is trying to work out all the different permitations..... will I be able to get off the M5 at junction 8 and go on the M50 for 22 miles until it reaches the A449? Only my navigator is not very reliable sometimes so I want to be clear before I set off.
  18. Mmmmm....Pawprint will hold you to that. Should be a very interesting conversation. Could you practise barking "Happy Birthday" because she will be 8 on Saturday.
  19. You know me so well. My immediate thought when I saw Joanne's post was to wonder what the hell she meant. However, I decided against enquiring because I thought any word with "pee" in it I'd be best to steer clear of. I've jumped to my own conclusions thank you and they are probably much more interesting than the true version.
  20. Never mind your credits, we need him on Sunday at Swindon.
  21. I'm getting worried now. I normally book the same hotel room for the next year when leaving after the G.P. I hope they don't suddenly change from the 2nd week in June to another date.
  22. Will John Boulger be over here for the September one?
  23. I don't think the Grim Reaper is going this year which is a shame. I don't think his friend Liontamer is going either, which is an even bigger shame.
  24. I've got four you could have but they are action photos and unfortunately only in black/white. Wembley World Final 1981 & U.S.A World Final 1982. If you are interested I will send them.
