  1. I think that was in 2006 and last year there was no free programme. Does anyone know how I can print my own please?
  2. Looks like the Coventry website is down at the moment so I can't check but I think it is the usual prices that you pay for a league match.
  3. Gemini, Summit, Jemma & Molly will be there and hoping there are no unexpected loud bangs.
  4. Ah...but that doesn't apply this season so we're keeping quiet.
  5. The best idea is when leaving the hotel provisionally book for 2009 and then let them know the exact date as soon as it's revealed. That's what everyone used to do where we stayed.
  6. Glad you got sorted. I'm sure you will sleep okay but just in case pack some ear plugs - in fact that might be a good idea for your son in the stadium anyway as it is very noisy with the air horns.
  7. Have you actually looked at the fixture list for the Bees being as you seem to know what to do to get some Mondays on in June? Grand Prix this Saturday so no meeting as usual on Friday. Monday June 16th at Belle Vue. K.O.C. Friday June 20th Bees v Belle Vue K.O.C. 2nd leg. Sunday June 22nd Steve Johnston Testimonial. British G.P. at Cardiff June 28th so no meeting on Friday as usual. Monday June 30th at Lakeside. So exactly which ones would you like us to call off and rearrange so we don't upset some Belle Vue fans? Perhaps you'd also like us to ride on our off night Monday June 23rd so we have 3 meetings in four days at Brandon?
  8. Both I think. Definitely at Stoke and you can still do that now and the other half says cars could be parked along the back straight at Station Road because he remembers the lights flashing if a Long Eaton rider won. I wish I could recall these things but obviously my brain only stores up really useful information.
  9. Oh dear! Have you tried looking at something like this to see if any of them jog your memory? http://www.booking.com/searchresults.html?...3;city=-2591777 Was it definitely a hotel or bed/breakfast? There are loads on Cathedral Road which is within walking distance of the stadium.
  10. Do you have to be so rude to people? It's quite easy to make a mistake or not read all the relative posts. Why can't you just point something out without implying someone is stupid? It must be really nice to be perfect like you. Anyway to get back on topic I don't know why some Belle Vue fans are critical of Coventry's re-arranged meeting. It's just one of those things which happen in speedway and if it means Bomber and Steady have to miss the Belle Vue anniversary unfortunately it's just too bad as I doubt they are "committed to the booking" as RobB has stated. Anything down in writing? Of course the Elite League takes priority. At least Killer Cat from Mars is talking sense.
  11. That's got me a little bit worried because we have got a new postman at the moment who is apparently getting the houses mixed up and putting post through the wrong letterboxes. Knowing how the tickets were delivered last year with the envelope open and looking like some sort of rubbishy advert, to anyone who didn't know differently, I hope mine gets to the right place.
  12. How sad. R.I.P. Vladimir.
  13. Excuse me for being old, but I've never heard of her.
  14. Rye House. Sun 29th........ Sheffield Premier League....... Home 2pm. Followed by Scunthorpe Conference League Home 4pm.
  15. Speedway Museum? Go on try it. It's a bit like the page numbers on Pro-Boards - they are there but getting them before they disappear is quite an art.
  16. About 10.45/11pm. Tickets are not normally sent out until a couple of weeks before the G.P. If they haven't arrived by the 27th of June start worrying.
  17. You may well laugh. I think Lupus would rather stick pins in her eyes than support Johno. But there you go - Wolves fans are a strange lot.
  18. I've only just watched the G.P. after my NTL box decided it was going to pack in on Saturday night and following some of the comments on the forum I was expecting it to be boring. It must be me because I thought the racing was okay and most of it very good. Could have been worse - you could have told them to watch the league match on Monday. Now that was boring!
  19. Ah....thank you SCB. I felt quite guilty about my "childish dig" but I know that while Lee was a Coventry rider he let a lot of people down with promises he didn't keep and I'm like an elephant I never forget. I just can't remember the details that's all. I know he pulled out of the Briggo's Extreme Races (or whatever it was called) at Coventry at the last minute, also he didn't turn up when he was booked as a guest at the Rugby Supporters club meeting, without letting them know. There are others but you know what my memory is like.
  20. I really don't know how you can all remember your first meeting, let alone the first race ever seen. It makes me feel positively senile as my memory is terrible. All I can remember is the year - 1949 - so that will have to do. I was 8 years old and went to Blackbird Road with my dad. He eventually stopped going but I carried on and I'm still enjoying my speedway now as much as I did way back then.
  21. I believe I'm right in saying that Kiwi, who is a member of the forum, is Bob's son.....or is there a New Zealander called Bob Andrew? I'll shut up now before I dig a deeper hole for myself 'cos I get confused with similar names.
  22. Nothing. But don't bother asking him because even if he accepts he won't turn up at the last minute and will have some excuse. With apologies to Silver Bee and all the Swindon fans.
