Jonsson Not In Gelsenkirchen?
Gemini replied to iris123's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
What about Thursday for Arena? -
Atmosphere? The only time I've ever watched speedway inside is at Wolverhampton and the Wolves fans make plenty of noise.....or they used to. I don't know what it's like now.

Gelsenkirchen Off !
Gemini replied to smartace's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Me....me. I'm a happy speedway fan and it takes some doing after the season Coventry have had. Mind you it could be worse. I could be a Wolves fan. You have my deepest sympathy Wolverine. That could be a very good question in some future sports quiz programme. They'll never guess the answer. Or "What happened next?" on Question of Sport. -
Gelsenkirchen Off !

So no cover on the barge then? Surely there is always the possibility of rain. The track was being laid 4 days ago on October 7th so what's happened to the famous "track drier outer" belonging to Colin Meredith? Surely this would have been an ideal time to make use of it. -
Jonsson Not In Gelsenkirchen?

Well, you know it is a genuine reason when a rider misses a Grand Prix so get well soon A.J. -
£5 each. It's under Bargain Books for Christmas so I should think so. http://www.retro-speedway.com/home.php

I've forgotten how PUK got his nickname but I do know that BJ is Coventry's Billy Janniro.

Watch Beowulf. He'll have you down the pub drinking Real Ale and you'll never get your train back to London. -
Or stop it altogether? The riders haven't been bothered about it for quite a few years and it's very rare for the top averaged ones to be competing. Some of them must be taxing their brains to think of a valid excuse not to ride. Back in the days of Hyde Road it was a prestigious meeting but times move on and now is the time to drop it. Just my opinion as an oldie who remembers the brilliant racing at Hyde Road and the farce it has now descended into.

Anyone At The Maritim Hotel Germany?

Take care that you don't disappear. -
Sure is. Mostly found posting in the Conference League section, but just put her name in the members search and you can send her a PM. Her forum name is Jayne.
-
Send Jayne a P.M. Kev. She's married to his son I believe so she'll know where Ken was born.

Heaven forbid. Anyway peace seems to have descended over the forum so perhaps Sub has turned over a new leaf and won't be so unpleasant in future.....or he could have been banned for a while of course. Wouldn't be surprised to be honest as he seems to have been on even more of a mission lately. -
Race Card For Sgp

It's not just women that change their mind then as he is now saying if he gets 8th place he may well carry on next year (this week's Speedway Star.) -
Always the same isn't it? I've not bothered with this meeting since the Hyde Road days when it really meant something then.

Well Done Hans Andersen!
Gemini replied to Hansfan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Sorry but I have gone off him now after not turning out for the Bees at Ipswich. Hope he returns to Peterborough next season because I dislike riders who are "ill" in order to miss meetings they don't fancy here. I also wonder if he was actually in England on Monday for the Belle Vue meeting? -

Probably nothing to do with failing eyesight. I think it might have something to do with their country of origin, who their favourite rider is or what team they support. I'm with you Bryn. I thought all the decisions the referee made were spot on. -

Maybe but I bet Billy Janniro could manage it. Quite a good G.P. tonight and I thought the referee got all his decisions correct. Scott Nicholls was again so frustrating to watch! I'm beginning to agree with KevH about Lukas Dryml and I don't blame Scott for his reaction. So how are you feeling zonkers now that Hans won and you couldn't get your bet on? -
Andreas Jonsson To Boycott World Cup Next Season
Gemini replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
SCB? Hasn't he left Wales and become an Englishman? -
I think you've just misunderstood what young Philip meant. Cardiff gets a bigger attendance than any of the other G.P's - not collectively. You have to be born in the Midlands to understand the lingo.

G P Rostrum
Gemini replied to billybikespeedway's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Good! Let's hope they all pack the Elite League in and just concentrate on the G.P's then we can have a workable league again without all the disruptions. One big Premier League with teams riding against each other once at home and once away. Thank you! -
