  1. Heaven forbid that someone on a forum gives his opinion about having at reserve an ex-Leicester rider who is a good gater.
  2. Presumably it was because England could have been in the final? With all the 'Its coming home' messages I saw I thought it was a foregone conclusion. Dont know what went wrong because I dont follow football.
  3. You can hope but this is Leicester who seem able to build up a good lead but then lose a lot of it in the second half of a match so it makes more sense to have the choice of the best gates in the last heat. Agree and perhaps Simon would have chosen differently if he had been there.
  4. I think the mistake was made much earlier on in heat one when Lions won the toss and chose gates 1 & 3. They should have waited and picked gates in the last heat after watching to see which were more advantageous. Even the flying Klindt could do nothing from the back when he didn't gate in heat 12 off four and got beaten by Charles Wright and James Sarjeant, plus his own team mate Jakobsen.
  5. Not doing something right as probably most fans having a look at Poole threads do it for the comedy value like me. If I need cheering up I always look in here first.
  6. Surprisingly good considering most tracks have a big drop in attendances when TV are there. Looked to be a normal crowd but whether they will lose a few after the mostly processional racing remains to be seen.
  7. Yes, it's July now and that's the month when he usually manages to at last sort out the set ups on his bikes so Poole have signed him at the best time.
  8. Unfortunately it has become the norm this year and I'm beginning to wonder why I bother as it's quite a struggle for me these days walking from the shopping centre car park. Rapidly losing interest but after 70 years speedway is hard to give up so I suppose I will plod on until the end of the season.
  9. Gawd this is boring. The camermen must wonder what on earth we see in speedway.
  10. Sun break with the TV cameras there and keeping to a schedule? I predict Sarjeant to be warned at some point during his rides for moving at the tapes or actually breaking them and no sun break.
  11. Yes agree with that. Martin sold the stadium to a known property developer so from then on it was a count down to the end of Speedway and Stock Cars. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.
  12. We had to miss that one as we were on holiday so it would have been 202 and 2 dogs .
  13. Okay. I prefer to keep an open mind and don't just blame one person for what happened at Coventry.
  14. You must have the wrong info as surely it is all Mick Horton's fault? He usually gets the blame for everything that's happened.
  15. I think this Sunday's has been called off because a lot of work is going on at the stadium over the weekend due to the Lions v Poole match being on TV the following day. Everything needs to look good and the track well prepared. Next Sunday's is probably due to some Football match being played somewhere.
  16. Don't think I agree with that. I'm always on the 4th bend and some of the riders take a very wide line round there, scarily so sometimes.
  17. Yes, so did I. With Sam on 18 points and Rory on 9 I expected Lions to lose or at best get a 45 all draw as Sam had been flying all night. Thank goodness for new signing Ricky Wells as Bjerre and Pieszczek only scored 4 points each.
  18. Perhaps try mobility scooters for a change then like Glasgow.
  19. Perhaps no-one has to check and there is a camera clocking when you come in and when you exit like at the Leicester shopping centre one? You're allowed 4 hours there though.
  20. I think the majority of people who are either vegetarian or vegan do it because they don't like eating the bodies of dead animals, not for any health benefits.
  21. As his collar bone is not broken as first thought perhaps he won't miss any meetings?
  22. That one is probably those pesky Squirrels chomping on the wiring?
  23. Last Monday's racing was much better than the previous two matches so hopefully that's how it will be from now on. I think even ianb enjoyed the Rye House one.
