Hope I'm still alive when your sequel comes out. Don't leave it too long.

Oh Yes? So what was the problem then because he certainly wasn't "normal". -

Why, oh why can't people just click on the Reply icon instead of quoting all over again something we have already read, especially one as long as that?! -
After ploughing through several speedway books recently, Sam Ermolenko "Breaking the Limits", Billy Hamill's "No Bull" and the equally famous King Jamie's "10th Yer Baws", I'm now reading Alan's book at the moment and agree it is very interesting, particularly for any ex-Hunters/Lions fans. (I also have the first one, but must admit I haven't read that yet.) Can't wait for the Lions Era!

NORBOLD!!! Hang on in there and I'm sure you will get a reply when our forum historian sees this. There used to be a Jack Hughes, but I'm not sure if that would have been in the 40's.

Which is what I said earlier on. Within reason, as long as the post doesn't contain bad language or is particularly offensive, it is much better to leave the posts on as it gives an insight into the personality of the forum members in question and we can judge them accordingly. A lot of the things that have been said need to be taken "with a pinch of salt" as they have been posted in the heat of the moment. The holes are presumably to enable the block to be picked up with fingers inserted - a bit like a ten pin bowling ball - ready for the aim. Not much point trying it at Coventry though unless you are a good shot putter and can throw it over a 6ft fence. I'd say Andersen's chances of being hit by a breeze block are 1000 to 1. Now whatever happened to SuperDazTheBee when I need him to place a bet?

I did on 7th Aug, as follows ....... "Much as it pains me to do so, I have to agree with Steve on the Scott Nicholls incident. I think it was a bad mistake on his part which in the end probably cost England the chance of a race-off. The two riders in 1st and 2nd places were still belting round and if Nicki had fallen behind him, which Scott thought had happened, he would have had at least half a lap to pull up. Surely he must have seen that Lindback and Rempala were still racing?" You are correct Stanislawski it isn't fair to blame Hans Andersen for Team GB's defeat, but if you read all the posts you'll see there are some sensible ones amongst all the rubbish.

I'd just leave things alone. If the webmaster and about five moderators have not removed the posts you don't like then they have obviously not crossed the forum boundries. I don't agree with a lot of things that have been said, but it does give one an insight into the personalities of some forum members and whose posts to bother reading in future. If you start emailing the webmaster and complaining he might just get so cheesed off with it all that he closes the forum down and we don't want that.

So that's bacon, ham, sausages, gammon, pork scratchings, roast pork, faggots, pork pie...... Poor little sods they don't stand a chance.
-
I never buy Danish bacon. I like to think that the Pigs have a little bit of freedom in England before they have to be slaughtered unlike Denmark's intensive rearing. Incidentally we saw a hilarious Pig Race at Brickfields Heavy Horse Centre in the Isle of Wight recently, but even they are destined to be killed in a couple of months time. Surely the Pig must produce more variety of meat than any other animal? Bacon, ham, sausages, pork pie, roast pork, faggots......not that I eat any of it myself.

That figures. I can understand fans wanting to make a swift exit from Monmore Green.
-
No? Why do you think loads of us on here were chuffed to bits when Australia didn't qualify for the final. We remember.......
-
Do ya know - you've always confused me. I'm completely lost now.
-
Or perhaps not?
-
Excatly. Really amusing.

And when I am in need of a chair lift to get me upstairs I'll make sure it's not from Meridian. I'd rather move house and get myself a bungalow.

Much as it pains me to do so, I have to agree with Steve on the Scott Nicholls incident. I think it was a bad mistake on his part which in the end probably cost England the chance of a race-off. The two riders in 1st and 2nd places were still belting round and if Nicki had fallen behind him, which Scott thought had happened, he would have had at least half a lap to pull up. Surely he must have seen that Lindback and Rempala were still racing? I thought flash cameras were banned whilst a race was on anyway? Someone must know who the guilty person is so when we find out I reckon he should be hung, drawn and quartered.

And don't worry about the Glasgow avatar Queen Bee, she doesn't live up in Scotland although it's hard to keep up with her. I think it's still High Wycombe at the moment and she occasionally makes trips to Brandon so you could probably meet up there sometime.

well done AJ+ tomaz wot a meeting
Gemini replied to sirmatty's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I don't! I hope someone cellotapes his mouth up and ties him to a chair out of the way somewhere so the riders can get a word in edgeways. -
COME ON GREAT BRITAIN!!!

Yep...agree and much too crabby. -

Oh dear! Two Taurus's. What do you expect? He always used to think those Weetabix adverts of a year or so ago were too violent as well.
