Have you tried Leicester? They have training days and would be a lot nearer than Scunthorpe.
-
Does he seriously think that was an entertaining meeting? I suppose it was for Leicester fans seeing their riders gate and go if that's what they want but there are other fans, like me, who want to see some good racing. How often does G.P. rider and Kings Lynn star Iversen fall off? Not very often I would guess but he managed it on the notorious 3rd/4th bend. Still, it's not worth getting into any discussions on here because no-one is going to change their mind and if the track is not going to be altered that's it. Just carry on next season as things are and hope the racing gets better with E.L. riders (if they do go up.)

No Sky Or League Sponsorship Money Etc...

I'm pretty sure that method has already been used before but the top team ended up missing out on a lucrative semi-final so it was ditched. -

TNT.....your best ever post which echoes my thoughts exactly. Trouble is one of your fellow Wolves fans is very much against not having the top riders and will probably stop going. Can't please everyone. -
It's worse still being there and I can't say I enjoy watching any of the heats that Adam is in as I'm just hoping he finishes the race without mishap. Some riders just seem so accident prone and unfortunately Adam is one of them.

If only promoters would take notice it would be quite simple to turn things around! They won't though will they? Same old. same old and struggle on for yet another season losing more and more fans. But all's well with the sport because Ford will be able to put together a good team and Poole will be champions again. -

Great post and it's a shame there aren't more fans with the same opinion. Personally I couldn't care less if there are no 'star' names. What is more important is to get a more level playing field with riders of similar ability in each race, not to have a star rider go off into the distance. I'm also sure that years ago the reserves races were just that - numbers 6 and 7 - not how it is now with a mixture. Unfortunately as I don't have programmes now I can't check the exact positions but I know it's one reserve and one from the main team. Why not just the reserves? -

Good post and I agree with it apart from the bit about having 6 riders per team because we all know how that will end up - rider replacement and only 5 riders. -
Tactical Substitutes - Thinking 'out Of The Box'!

Many thanks. I wasn't even going to bother reading that post but you made it possible. Still think it's a daft idea though. Back to the drawing board. -
Because it makes sense? (Thank goodness the smilies are back again!) Olly Allen is always getting injured, Summers is rubbish away from Brandon and sometimes there as well. The only one I would query would be Robbo as I like him but what's the point of sticking with riders who contributed to the Bees disastrous season? Need some new faces.

I think the person he is actually referring to is 'jim the whipper' not Mick, but whether his name is really Jim is another matter.

By paying the riders less or not signing G.P. riders? Chris Harris has already signed for Coventry so he must have realized (at last!) that he is not worth as much as he was four or five years ago. -
It's only one or two from every club and you'll get to know which ones so just ignore them. Welcome to the forum.
-
Looks like it and judging by the 'Tapes Up' programme Gary will be back next season as well.
-
Oh well if we are splitting hairs he hasn't actually got one. I just presumed someone with the name Panthers89 was a Peterborough fan as it's quite a good clue as to who he/she supports. By the way there is no dispute - I don't do disputes - so I'm quite happy for you to win.
-
Why would they have to pay their riders though if there were no meetings? I thought riders were paid by how many points they scored so no matches means zero money to pay out? (Am I being really thick?!) By jove I think I've got it now. If the riders were still riding away they would have to be paid by their own promoter who hadn't had any money coming in for weeks. Yes, I was being really thick but nothing new there.
-
If that team fits the points limit that would suit me, although where was Chris Mills riding this season?
-
Can't see what's wrong with just plain old Divisions one, two and three. But I suppose that's too simple.
-
Do you not get to see the name Panthers89?
-
They could be but I think you will find last time it was Peterborough who objected.
-
Blimey! Me agreeing with Game On. That's a first. Excellent post houdi and I don't think you'll find any Bees fans disagreeing with it.

Do not have permission to view.

Panthers89.......I suppose I'm more quick on the uptake because by your avatar I know which track you're referring to. I love everything about Peterborough, although must admit I don't often buy any food or go in the bar so can't comment on them. The track is brilliant and the car park the same, since we don't have to drive onto grass now and get stuck if it's muddy. Just build a motorway to the Showground instead of the horrible A47 and I'd be there every week.

I am so trusting and believe what people say. So what happened to the one about Chris not being at the dinner/dance tonight? Perhaps Bees have done a Poole and signed him by text. Just hope he knows more about it than Kildemand did.
