I ignored the tablet/smart phone bit as well because the phone I've got is at least 10 years old so obviously not very smart. I know what tablets are because I take one for my blood pressure every day but what the hell is a smart phone anyway? Perhaps I should be more suspicious but Speedway fans are all nice people aren't they? He's 36, lives in Slovenia and has been a member on here for 5 years so got to be trustworthy. Right?

I told him this about a week ago when he posted that we could have used Rory at Coventry. Another man who never takes any notice or listens to a woman. The World is full of them and that's the reason women have to do a lot of what men call 'nagging'.

I often check the notifications at the top to see who has liked my posts but unfortunately I can't remember what I wrote in the first place so I've come to the conclusion I shouldn't bother looking.

Thanks Gavan that was the one I was thinking about. This proves that when you're old and senile you just shouldn't get involved with 'conversations' on here and leave it to the ones who know what they are on about.

Perhaps Mick signed Andersen hoping Gary would hand his notice in. Well, I can wish can't I? I don't really know what the situation with Havelock is and whether he signed a contract for more than one season but it does seem strange why Mick would keep him when a) he is not at all popular with the fans and b ) the team he managed came bottom of the league. If it was football he would have been out long ago.

Hope it doesn't get moved because since Leicester joined the E.L. I've been able to miss the Premier League section out altogether. So much to do - so little time.

SCB moans about everything even though he doesn't even go to the speedway anymore so just take no notice. I never went to any of the Newport meetings but I have a good idea which riders used to take part so I'm quite happy with the line up so far. Has Frank Smart retired? Not too sure if he used to ride in the New Year Classic but I've seen him a few times at Newport and loved his style of riding.

I feel the opposite actually and hope the rumour is true. Sorry. We will get over it when he's gone. It's not just the Poole thing anyway. I'm not a 'pit watcher' but I've heard enough things from others who are that he's not much of a motivator and doesn't do a lot. They might all be completely wrong but the team came bottom of the league so it doesn't say a lot about his skills. If he had been a Football manager he would have been out long before the end of the season.

I really hope that is true about Havelock. Please let it be true as he is not very popular at Coventry, especially after his Poole comments on Twitter.

What's the point of that? You only have to read some of the discussions on the forum to know that even the fans can't agree on the best solution to the sport's problems so why should we have a say in the matter. Anyway, I think the majority of us were wanting less foreign riders being flown in and out to score a couple of points and more help for the British lads and that's what we've got. I'm quite happy and looking forward to next season.

Only when it crops up though surely as a lot of matches are run without any being used at all? If I was trying to encourage someone to give speedway a try I wouldn't be telling them all the so called bad points. Get them there first and if a T.R. is used explain it then. Anyway, all irrelevant really because I think this story is just like one of those Facebook hoaxes that some people believe are true.

As Peterborough aren't in the P.L. or N.L. it makes sense to leave them in here for now. Keeping my fingers crossed someone takes over because it would be awful if that track was lost to speedway of some sort.

Have you forgotten that Rory is now a Kings Lynn asset as they actually paid for him, unlike Belle Vue, so he no longer belongs to Coventry? Anyway, I think Coventry fans are quite happy with Hansen. Been there and done that with Rory.

Got all ours now. Really pleased with our 1-7 and well done to Mick for ditching the complete team who finished a disappointing last in 2013. There are one or two I will miss but hopefully we will have a better season next year.

Too true. If you just want to moan about what riders are taking part and how many heats there are for your £15 then don't damn well go. You've got a choice. I'm just pleased there will be some speedway to break up the close season and I don't particularly want to see any 'star' E.L. riders but would prefer those who are more equal. A Midland League Defence match as well. (That's so the Leicester fans understand what it is.) So 21 heats (or is it 22?) for £15, with under 16's free. Good value I'd say and all we need now is some decent weather.

Looking good with riders of a similar ability so it's a level playing field.
