I'll reserve judgement until old Moody is back again.

Blimey! I didn't know there was a restriction on the number of 'likes' you can have. Apparently I've reached my quota for the day. I like your post TesarRacing - just sayin'.......

Okay fair enough. I didn't know they had three injuries in their first meeting and I thought 'G' against the riders name meant guest. I stand corrected. 1. Steve Jones 2. Conor Dwyer (G) 3. Danno Verge 4. Adam Kirby (G) 5. Sam Woods (G) 6. Liam Sanderson 7. Ryan MacDonald

Why are Scunthorpe allowed three guests? Have they not got a full team yet?

I don't think our views will change as it's the riders who won the match not Havelock. If Coventry are champions at the end of the season I still won't like him.

Robert Lambert Mouthing Off In The Star. Oh Dear.
Gemini replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
True. I nominate Neil Middleditch as he understands what the youth of today are like. He'll soon sort him out. -
1st to last? Doesn't he realize yet that it works best the other way around? Actually what you've written about the 'belief there will be a pass' pretty much sums up Eddie as he always looks as if he's going to belt round the outside of someone but somehow never does. Still the thought is there in our minds so it's exciting to watch.

Oh yes.....I'd forgotten that he used to be his manager/mechanic or something. Chris has had so many it's hard to keep up. I don't know but I would have thought Radio Leicester?

Well it might not be too bad as they'll perhaps play a different Queen song next week. -
When he's done that can you get him to give Chris Harris a lesson as well please.

I don't know of any other track that does this, even Coventry where it is the same promotion. I've got dodgy knees as well and once I've sat down I won't be getting up for the National Anthem. I've got no respect for hunting/shooting Royalty. -
Well, that's really boring. The Chickens must have gone to bed already as I haven't seen a single one yet.
-
Cirencester Chicken Cam. I must go back when it's light to see what they are up to.
-
Depends if it's true what they said about Mick ignoring texts and not turning up until Sunday morning? That's not fair - you've added a bit more. Blimey! Remind me never to stand too near the track this season.
-
I'm pretty sure you'd get a reply from Coventry as Neil Watson is good enough to correspond on here with the lower classes who attend Speedway. I was going to say don't set SCB off, but it looks like I'm too late.

Supposedly the bends have already been altered a bit during the Winter? Anyway reading this thread has cheered me up a bit and made me think it's perhaps not me 'going off Speedway' because everyone else thinks it was a good meeting and I didn't. Maybe the truth is that it wasn't really that entertaining but it's just natural for Leicester fans to stick up for the team/track/promotion and see things differently. All hope is not lost......unless you are a Coventry fan then it probably is.

What about the surrounding land? Is that David's as well? If it is I wish he'd flatten a bit of it so there can be a bigger car park nearer the stadium. I know of several Coventry fans who would pay their first visit to Leicester but are put off because they can't walk so far.
-
I do if that's the Rick Miller one when he was the only rider left in the race so he went round popping wheelies, only to be excluded by Geoff Dalby for not making a bona fide attempt to race. I wasn't going to join in this topic because it sounds like Coventry have closed already and we are reliving old memories, but hey ho I've done it now.

So you thought that was a good meeting. That's what I just don't understand so maybe it's me expecting more than I'm ever going to get nowadays and why I stated in the first place I think I'm going off speedway. To me that wasn't a good meeting and not worth £28. Today we've been to a country show at Peterborough and it cost £9 each admission for 7 hours of entertainment and it was thoroughly enjoyable, whereas when I left Beaumont Park I just wished I hadn't bothered. Perhaps mdmc82 is right and my mood is being affected by what's going on at Coventry. I was really looking forward to this season, which is my 65th, but so far it has been a big disappointment. Things can only get better......can't they?
-
I wouldn't get too confident as you don't know what the future holds for Leicester when they've been going for a few more years. We weren't the only ones leaving before the end of the meeting last night and I'd guess that half of that attendance won't be there next time. I'm not going to join in any Leicester bashing because enough has been said already and it's just boring repeating the same old things. In an ideal world the racing would have been exciting in front of such a big crowd but sadly it wasn't and personally paying £28 to watch what was mostly 'follow the leader' stuff doesn't encourage me to want to be there every week so I'll just pick and choose.
-
I'll perhaps get to see it earlier than that......unless the N.L. meeting has been called off?
-
. Didn't do a thing for me tonight. Counted the passes and there were just 4, otherwise just strung out, although I don't know what happened in the re-run of heat 15 because we went after Tai fell. That's pretty sad for me to be more interested in getting out of the car park and going home than watching the end of a match that was all square at that point. Don't talk rubbish. I've been a speedway fan since 1949 and I don't need any attention thanks.

I think I'm going off Speedway.

Coventry V Birmingham, 28 Mar 14
Gemini replied to Midland Red's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not often I agree with Havelock but in this case I think he's got a good point. How the track got to be like this since the photos posted this morning I do not know being as fans on Facebook have been saying there has been no rain. -
I think this answer deserves a 'Woooooosh.'
