  1. It's a new thing for Coventry though and rather disappointing considering how the Elite League is even more depleted this season but we're still paying the same price. I think probably all fans are in agreement that speedway is too expensive, especially for a family, so if a bit of money can be saved by printing off a programme instead of buying one then promoters shouldn't go out of their way to make it difficult. Regarding tyres - I haven't a scooby which post is correct but Stefan was leading heat 11 on his second bike before the race was stopped and then changed over to bike number 1 that had let him down in heat 10. It then did the same again which pretty much ended The Storm's hopes of a victory.
  2. I was thinking that when I watched it as the shape looks pretty much the same.
  3. How times change. These days the Coventry riders continually moan about the lack of shale and the track being too slick at Brandon.
  4. Well, it won't work. In fact it has the opposite effect as it makes me even more determined not to buy a programme and I'm sure others think the same. I'd rather go without one, but as it happens I can usually find out what the teams are anyway and so apparently can all the other fans I saw with their own printed programmes. Bad idea promoters! You should not antagonise your fans over something so petty and make them disgruntled so you could lose them altogether. Anyway, on to the match which The Storm managed to throw away. Why on earth did Stefan Nielsen swop his bike just before the re-run of heat 11 back to the one that hadn't even moved out of the start in heat 10? The resulting failure again with the scores at 30 - 30 gave Mildenhall the lead which they held on to. Disappointing night for The Storm as I think they should have won this match but well done to Mildenhall.
  5. Not me. Why can't you read what I said which is that you don't support Peterborough or Coventry so I wouldn't expect you to donate anything to one of their riders. But there's really no need to keep going on about it because we know your feelings after being told numerous times. Same with the Leicester track - we know what you think about that as well and there are a great many people who agree, including me, but repetition of the same thing is extremely boring.
  6. I've been on the forum since 2001 but I've never known anyone quite so repetitive as Robert72, having also seen multiple posts on the Leicester threads continually moaning about the track. Why go on and on about the same thing when you've made your point because it's totally boring for everyone else. You've made the choice not to donate anything to Ryan Fisher - and why should you be interested anyway being as you don't support either Coventry or Peterborough - but others have chosen to. That should be it, we get the message, so as The White Knight has said give it a rest now.
  7. Anyone that supported Coventry away deserved a medal last season. It was bad enough watching them at Brandon.
  8. Probably Leicester have taken over the top spot now as they are new to the league and lots of different tracks to visit.
  9. I think you might deserve a 'Wooooosh.....' here.
  10. Okay fair enough - I didn't look at away fixtures. Regarding promoters not telling fans what's going on I'm afraid that's what usually happens so I didn't expect Leicester to be any different.
  11. What's that saying? "Behind every man there is a good woman" or something like that. Perhaps Chris has a personal secretary.
  12. That should have been down to the person who started the thread, but it obviously didn't suit his agenda to give any details. Bit more information taken from the Peterborough website as they are holding their collection tomorrow night. PETERBOROUGH will be holding a collection for number one Ryan Fisher's family fund during their Premier League KO Cup first round, first leg clash against Scunthorpe at the East of England Showground tomorrow (Tuesday). The official Peterborough Panthers Speedway Supporters' Club (PPSSC) have already pledged a donation of £300 in a bid to help the American ace be reunited with his family. Fisher’s wife Daelyn and his children Abby Jo (7) and Harley (5) have been left stranded 5,000 miles away in California after being caught up in visa problems. They have been blocked from re-entering the United Kingdom until next January, but they have now been given the green light to base themselves in Poland for the remainder of the 2014 season. A collection at a recent meeting at Fisher's Elite League club, Coventry, raised close to £2,000 in donations from supporters and sponsors and club bosses are hopeful of another generous outlay from Panthers followers. Mick Horton, supremo of both clubs, said: "The collection received a great response at Coventry and I'm sure the fans at Peterborough will also give generously. "Fish is finding it incredibly tough being away from his family and we're doing all we can to help him."
  13. They'll only get to see him every other week.
  14. It probably has but I doubt if we mere fans will get to hear anything.
  15. What's he like at Wolverhampton? He rides the Coventry track brilliantly....unfortunately. Love his style of riding.
  16. It would be nice, but as there isn't an E.L. fixture until the 24th I would imagine desperate measures have been going on behind the scenes to try to get two replacements before the next meeting. Can't be easy.
  17. Gawd! Don't men ever grow up? It's like a children's play ground in here sometimes.
  18. From what I can understand he had already paid for his family's air fares but as they were unable to come to the U.K. he couldn't get a refund. It's a pity Sandie doesn't come on here to clarify but she's probably too cheesed off that someone has even started this topic to bother.
  19. Yes, it's been sacked and was last seen driving out of The Showground never to be seen again.
  20. Yes, I can usually get your words unscrambled after all these years of trying but there are now loads of others with predictive text or whatever it's called.
  21. Can you understand that 'tweet' then? I'm still trying to work this bit out 'but club not but in me meeting.'
  22. Good news - no broken bones so should be back within a week or so.
  23. Showing your age now. Incidentally how pathetic to have a ventriloquist act on the radio.
  24. That's one thing about Poland they don't mess about. Don't perform and you're out, but then it's easy over there as they have other riders to pick from.
  25. On the contrary I wouldn't accept anything and that's why I've only been to less than a dozen meetings since Leicester opened even though it's only up the road. £28 for both of us to watch gate and go speedway is not my idea of entertainment and even the other half has lost patience now. Not much point in keep going on about it though because it's all been repeated over and over again. I won't reply to the second sentence because you're just being daft.
