Poole Pirates Vs Coventry Bees 21/5/2014
Gemini replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Ah....that would be when he posted Poole are run to win. Simple as that. We are a winning club and the promotion and fans demand 100% all the way. No wonder he's depressed and keeping a low profile. -

Is no-one else worried about Steve Shovlar not making an appearance yet? Depression is an awful illness and shouldn't be ignored. Can someone down Dorset way check if he is okay and hasn't jumped in the nearest canal. -

Coventry didn't though did they? The maximum is 4 and we got 3......I think. This is the man that ditched the whole 2013 team so who knows. -
They certainly did. Fisher's still a worry though.

I wouldn't go that far but it would certainly cheer everyone up (apart from Silverbee ) to think we're not going to have another mediocre season. Hard on Fisher but to get anywhere you have to be ruthless and Larsen was always popular at Brandon. Well done Bees. Can't wait to read Steve's match report, although I can guess what he's going to say. To be fair you've got to give them time to get home. -
You've missed the bit off about some of the riders joining in this conspiracy as well because they're doing a damn good job at the moment to make the fans disgruntled with their performances.

No such thing as 'can't'. Plenty of us are still managing. -
Swedish Elitserien 2014 Round 3
Gemini replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
I wasn't really in any hurry to watch it as I don't really find racing from other countries that interesting so I missed the first few races but must admit I enjoyed it and the track looked great. What impressed me the most were lots of fans sitting on fold up chairs, complete with sandwiches and flasks and not just older people either. SCB would have a field day with this lot. No blankets over knees though as it looked to be a lovely evening. -
Peterborough V Scunthorpe - Tuesday 20th May 7.30pm
Gemini replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Around 118 miles between the two stadiums and roughly two hours travelling time. I suppose he could do it if there are no hold ups at Scunthorpe. -

Surely he will be riding for Coventry? Damn! Just beaten to it by a second. -
Moles say one thing - Horse's say another. Interesting.

Aww......just take that with a pinch of salt as you're nothing like Robert72 really. It was only a jokey comment. Me bad person. You are concerned about the Coventry team and their performance but he just goes on and on about the Leicester track, like he's gone on and on about the Ryan Fisher collection. After so many posts on the same subject it just gets a bit boring. Anyway .....carry on.

Yes I did. If he went on Britain's Got Talent these days David Walliams would probably put him through to the final.

I wish you'd stop saying that because Matt might not have thought of that one. We'll find out tomorrow. -
I'm not surprised to learn there are moles at Leicester with all those damn great mounds of earth around the place.

Swindon - Leicester Now June 5th
Gemini replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well done to the Swindon promotion for announcing the teams two days before the match and not in alphabetical order either....unlike some tracks who are trying to discourage fans from printing their own programme. -
Glad you enjoyed the book. As to the music the Hunters marched out to I hope you realize I won't sleep tonight now trying to remember what it was. I thought it had always been 'Imperial Echoes' but you've got me thinking now. If I find out I'll let you know.

Not sound though. Can never hear a thing at Belle Vue........ unless I'm going deaf.

Eastbourne V Coventry Select 17th May
Gemini replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I just don't get that. What's wrong with having something to eat/drink just prior to the meeting and using the loo? There must be some weak bladders out there. I drive to Coventry from Leicester, watch the match and second half and then drive back again, all without the need to visit the loo. -
Well, they do try to fill the gaps at Eastbourne. If you like tractors it could be very entertaining.
-
Yes, but this is markyb, Coventry's answer to Leicester's Robert72. Every track should have one.
-
Oh damn! I was hoping it would be Wolves v Bees. Yes, I am a glutton for punishment after watching them at Eastbourne but at least they should do better with a full team.

City Gearboxes Coventry Storm V Mildenhall --fri May 16th
Gemini replied to Main Man's topic in National League Speedway
Thanks Neil. I haven't got a mobile phone as the one I was given second hand by my son-in-law about 10 years ago was suddenly cut off last week. How very dare they? All I had to do was make sure £10 was put on once a year and it's been working fine all this time. I'd still got about £8 on it too so it looks like I've lost that. Cheeky blighters! -

I don't think anyone is knocking any mechanics and I'm certainly not. Just wondering why Stefan went back to using his first bike after coming out on bike number two but now you've given the reason I know why. Hope you are okay now. I heard the announcement asking for a paramedic to go to the pits and it made me think about what would happen if I collapsed at Brandon with the dog in tow and no-one knew who I was or where I lived. From now on at the top of my printed programme (sorry Neil!) I'm going to put my car registration and Leicester telephone number so Lucy doesn't end up in R.S.P.C.A kennels in Coventry.
