I think I'm right in saying they were banned as well a few years ago while Sandhu was in charge because of complaints from the residents. I think I was nearer than you. Coventry might have reached 42 if it had carried on. Actually the track looked a sight lot dryer than the car park and when the racing started we were getting covered in dust......until the rain came of course. With all the warnings of rain arriving around 9pm you'd think they would have got on with it, but no this is speedway so carry on as normal and don't bother to start the meeting until 7.50pm either. No rush. That's just too sensible. Apparently a riders bike has to touch the tapes before he can be excluded so any part of his body or peak of the helmet doesn't count.....so we were told by the announcer tonight anyway.

If only. I would quite willingly rugby tackle that chap on the gate at Coventry who lets them back into the pits if I was 50 years younger. Leicester weren't alone. Coventry had one meeting in July, the height of the Summer on the 18th, although two were scheduled - 4th July being postponed. We then had to wait a month before the next match on August 15th which was also postponed. Now here we are the middle of October struggling to complete matches when surprise surprise it keeps raining.

Haven't got Sky so don't know if it was tipping it down or drizzling but I really hate lies in any shape or form. Promoters telling us riders are not well when really they just can't be bothered to get on a plane because it's too much hassle coming to the U.K. Riders saying they're injured but magically recover the following day to ride in their own country. Sandhu saying he hadn't got a partner and owned the stadium 100% when it's pretty obvious he did have one. I could go on but I'm getting in a bad mood now and I won't sleep.

No I wouldn't bother. Sod's law it will be on then and I really would like to go to Brandon on Friday and not hang around for another week waiting.

Agree. What a stupid situation where Chris and Jason are riding for a team they could perhaps be facing next week in the final. No wonder people don't take Speedway seriously.
